  • $20 cheaper than bricks and morter stores.

  • Not a bad deal with free delivery. But do note that Sony Australia will not directly deal with warranty issues if you didn't purchase it through authorized channels. This means you have to post the console back to this seller if anything goes wrong within the warranty period and wait for them to deal with Sony (assuming they didn't import it in the first place).

For those with 28 degrees card, $99 JB gift cards will land you a similar price including shipping for the console, which they have stock now :)

I have to check the associated button because I work for another ebay store?…….

    • videopro based on QLD, they have 5 brick&morter store around qld

    • Only if you work for this E-Bay store, do you check the "Associated' button.

Also the seller is a bricks & mortar store; http://www.videopro.com.au/t-store-locator-contact.aspx

      • I think ozbargain treats all ebay.com.au deals as the same store, and doesn't allow me to reply without checking the box

    • Didn't realize it was videopro due ebay link. VideoPro is an authorized retailer of Sony products and I apologize for any confusions.

However, I believe I'm correct in saying that even if you buy from stores within Australia, Sony Australia will not directly deal with warranty issues if they're not listed as authorized dealers (e.g. an independent gaming store).

I have a 28 degrees card but don't know about the JBHI cards. Whats that about?

I think he/she meant to say "ING Orange card".

      • Wow do people actually do that for big items? I'm getting a fridge and washing machine today. I assume I'm spending around the 2k mark. 'Can I please have 20 x $100 gift cards, all put through separately'. I'd feel like such a dick.. But $100 saving makes it tempting

talk to the cashier nicely. explain the reason why you need the transactions to be paid in the $99 payments. present your ID visually.

if they refuse, then do this.

          1. queue up in the line.
          2. buy a $99 gift card.
          3. flash your ING card.
          4. go to step 1.

however, been reading that you will get called by ING the next day and got your 5% cashback offer cancelled by them. but the trick is not to answer these PRIVATE calls.
They cant cancel your offer without notifying the customer.

        • They'll put a block on your account though, so eventually you'll have to contact them to get your card unblocked. Well that what they did to me. They just give you a warning and make you promise not to do it again. Then I just cancelled my account and resigned up again as new member, so hopefully there's no note on my account saying that I have abused the system before. lol

  • Thanks. Bought one with $50 discount code (code linked with eBay account), turns out to be $478

This is also directly on the Videopro web site for $528 with free delivery so you can bypass Ebay altogether if you want. There should be no issues with warranty. You can still pay via Paypal.

  • PS4s are $529 at Kmart. The one I work at got 6 in last week, and they're just sitting in storage as no one knows we're even selling them.

  • Don't forget the Velocity reward point ebay deal if anyone does purchase:

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/134686

    You'll get 2112 Velocity points.
