Although Harvey Norman selling Surface Pro for $499 2 weeks ago did receive quite a few votes. I don't think HN is the problem here, but OP's initial confusion between RT and Pro.
What's the difference between "RT" and the "PRO"?

Pro runs all the programs a normal desktop can (legacy apps) RT is like the android version of windows, only stuff bought on their store can be installed/run.
The Pro has a conventional intel "x86" processor, just like most PC's and laptops. The RT has an "ARM" processor, just like most phones and tablets.
This means that the Pro can run conventional PC software, while the RT cannot.
