Yes because even though you have a USB 3.0 drive, the limiting factor will your USB 2.0 port.

Depends, which USB stick from 2009 do you have? I have a Corsair Voyager GTR USB2.0 from around 2009 and it does about 35MB read and 27MB on USB2.0. Pretty much maxes out the USB2.0 bandwidth. The Sandisk Extreme USB3.0 sticks I have also max out the bandwidth on USB2.0 so they are very good on either USB 2 or 3 but has no advantage over The Corsair on USB2.0.
You need to a speed test with your current USB2.0 stick to see what speed you get out of it.
my laptop only has usb 2 ports but the extreme usb 3 is quicker than the usb2 cruzer contour

They sent me two 16GB usb flash drives instead of two 16GB micro sd cards. Anyone else up here with the same problem?
They upgraded them for you for free? Each is $5 more expensive.
But it is impossible to put usb flash drive inside a micro sd slot. If i want flash drive, i would definitely buy one 32GB instead of 2x16GB.

Guys, I know that to take full advantage of this 32GB USB Stick, you should have a computer that supports USB3.0. Now, will I notice a speed difference when reading/writing data on USB2.0??
