How low can these fares go? $100 cheaper than my last post.

Dates used for this test: depart 2 June, return 11 June. Fares include meal & drinks, 23kg checked bag, 7kg cabin bag.

Use this link to punch your dates in, as it already has the promo code in it.

Offer ends 23:59 24th March.

For travel outbound 18 - 31 Mar, 1 May - 30 Jun, 28 Jul - 10 Sep, return 19 Mar - 17 Jul, 28 Jul - 17 Sep 2014.

Please note, this is not a dupe of this deal, as it's specific to a destination, rather than a generic discount.

MOD: This post has been reported, unpublished and then republished again. Decision being that previous post was more like a store wide discount offer (think DickSmith 10% off), and this post is similar to highlighting cheapest price of a specific / a range of products.

Great prices yet again! TA now I need some cheap airfares to go LA - Orlando!

try southwest airlines, they're pretty cheap and they include checked luggage

  • Great deal TA!

  • +2

That is a damn good price! If only that was where the holidays expenses stopped :(

  • Good work TA! Thanks for the heads up~!

  • nvm

  • For future reference I would just like to make sure I understand what is going on here. Note I have +1 the deal because hey, it is good.

We can take a blanked discount - find specific items or dates and then post them again. This is what this seems to me and what the mods have made clear above.

What this seems to me is more of a rewording of the previous deal. Rather than $300 off w/ flights starting at $XYZ. it has been reworded to become flights for $XYZ - rather than using the word from and without the discount code.

It almost feels like cheating, especially when Kearnsy points dates out very similar to TA in the comment section of the deal this is rewording.

Edit: I will also add that my reasoning for above is because TA has done similar things to this in the past - which I have been promptly shut down when attempting to point out. I also do not appreciate his sarcastic school yard approach to rubbing a success in.

I think you need a holiday

  • What about someone who is in LA and is intending to do LAX-SYD SYD-LAX.
Why on earth it is 1400 USD or more? Anyone can sugest a way around this? Thanks.

    • Fare rules, and area specific sales conditions.

It's usually the other way around where departure from USA is cheaper than departure from AUS when there are no crazy sales on.

    • Yup, Fuel dumping 3x. Hard to get by for flights departing OZ though.

  • Wish there was as many deals to Europe as there is to the US recently

    • yeah same!!!!

Have you seen any lately at all?

I am trying to get to Paris in June

      Cheers :)

Haven't looked at Paris yet, seen Brussels for under 1400 but that's flying Jet Airways via sin and bom, not real sure I could go that path but price is good imo

        • cool man thanks!

          I'll check it out!

try looking for fares out of KL or SIN
you can always get there cheaply with air asia/tiger/scoot
i'm off to paris in 2 weeks via air asia (to KL) and emirates (the rest of the way) for $1200
appears there's no easter surcharge on flights departing from KL
cheapest flight I could get out of perth was $1800, so not a bad saving by stopping in KL on the way there and back

        • Cheers mate, tried that as well and looked into both KUL and SIN, but couldn't find anything good enough for my dates. Secretly hoping that .br trick would come back in the coming months ;)

  • I can never find the same price as advertised in the OP…. never.

  • If only I hadn't booked already, wahhhh

  • Oh FFS these are cheap, and damn tempting. Just to go back to Vegas for a week and a few days cruising Cali again!

  • Hi TA

Any chance this fare for other way around cos I want to buy for my parents to visit me here?
    Tks

  • Have fares to the US ever been this cheap before?

    • The only cheaper fare I've seen was a few years back when there was a $699 return flight to LA. I can't remember the details but it was incredibly limited.

  • I'm not seeing anything under about 1140 for August or September, might be sold out

  • $2104 is the cheapest fare I could get the system to offer me to SanFrancisco or $2009 to LAX including the $300 discount as per this deal. I tried several different dates that were in accordance with the date rules of this offer. So, I take it that this offer was for a limited number of seats that have mostly already now been sold?

Id like to publicly thank TA for bringing this deal to my attention. I managed to get a $839.22 return fare MEL-LAX. I then used 16000 Qantas points for a return LAX-LAS fare, which I also had to pay $5USD fee, I then used 58000 flybuys points for 7 nights accomodation. Considering the only cash amount I payed for a return airfare to Vegas and 7 nights of accomodation is $839AUD + $5 USD I am putting the substantial savings towards purchasing a $1000 seat in the WSOP. Potentialy, based on last years entry field and first prize, I could come home with $350,000 USD !!!

I am also hoping that this return flight alone earns me enough miles to become a Gold Star Alliance member, as I have entered my Aegean Airlines Frequent Flyer number to be credited on this Air NZ flight. If anyone is interested to know what Im talking about heres a helpful informative read…http://www.ausbt.com.au/how-to-get-star-alliance-gold-frequent-flyer-status-with-one-flight

And for those interested this is the WSOP tourny I'll be trying to win!!! http://www.wsop.com/2014/structuresheets/13633-structure.pdf

Good luck, you might need it ;)

      Good luck MelbBargainChaser77!

As for hitting A3 Gold/*A Gold. If this is your only flight with *A this year then you won't make Gold unfortunately. Depending on the fare bucket you might not even earn points for the MEL-AKL sector. With NZ's discount economy earn rates you'll only earn about 10,000 out of the 20,000 points required for Gold. It will however put you into Silver.

      • Having a closer look at the A3/NZ /*Alliance fine print, Im pretty sure you are correct about the MEL-AKL sector. Whether AKL-LAX is in a point earning fare bucket (K) is very ambiguous on the A3 website. All shall be revealed when i return in June.

        • If the fare is booked into K you won't earn any points with A3. So this trip won't help you with *A Gold at all.

I was wondering whether that return flight would be enough miles for Aegean Gold. Well done with your ozbargain-fu and I really hope you win the WSOP.
Update us on your Gold status benefits too.

      • if you already havnt, subscribe to this post, and ill update what kind of points ill earn and where Ill sit on the star alliance ladder after this flight. Ill also let you know how World Series Poker goes for me! hopefully I dont bomb out early and come home with some money!!

  • PLEASE find this deal again! I saw this too late and now I'm crying at the thought of paying full price for 4 people! :'(

  • I really hope something like this pops up again soon.
