2 weeks ago, Im asking about now

        • +7

Ah the humble OzBargainer. Doesn't appreciate what is being offered, just wants more, more, more.

        • …..and thus defies any sense humbleness

  • Rep any chance for these deals, twice i failed to get because of site traffic :/

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/132526

    • Unfortunately we really are now completely sold out of those 8GB. I'll ask and see what we can do for maybe a 8GB in a different brand or a 16GB.

      • Hi rep. i ordered and paid for one of those and haven't heard or seen anything from you guys, have they been sent out yet?

  • +1

    Hi Rep,

Do you have specials on the gigabyte brix ?

I wold love a NUC but i really next s/pdif and i would have to purchase a usb to s/pdif soundcard.

    • +4

I'll pass the request along and see if we can do something in a week or so. Anyone else after brix? If so + this comment. We'll see if there's enough interest in such a deal.

Any i5 Deal with the built in Intel5000 NUC

  • Scorptec has these for $369 BUT they don't include RAM or SSD. Good price.
Two silly questions though, these wont take a 2.5 inch drive will they?
Also, does the purchase of one of these qualify for OEM purchase of an operating system?

My intent is to try and run one of these as a HTPC running Windows 7 Media Centre, but in the past I've used >1TB of recorded TV and am not sure if the NAS/Network would be quick enough to handle the recorded TV.

The low profile NUC's (such as the one pictured) only have MSATA SSD

    • Kearnsy has your answer right there. Only mSATA support.

  • Any deal on the BOXD34010WYKH ?
Am interested in buying that model.

  • SO OP. DID you get the VCAT order to appear for NOT complying with Australian Consumer Law that allows for CLIENTS to ask for a REFUND for a MAJOR FAULT item????

You are notoriously known for REFUSING to GIVE REFUNDS to your Clients for a less than 7 days DOA UNIT!

Don't think this will be a deal if you happen to get a DOA and you can't reclaim your money back!!!!

    • -1

Based on the quite extreme number of comments you've posted on our site about an issue which by your own definition of the facts (were they true) is legal (and you have been told thus by other forum users) and based on your never-ending support of MSY in other posts, we strongly suspect you're here just to raise a racket. Please keyboard warrior, leave it alone.

      • +4

just answer him op (you will refund it or not), he becomes a pest for a reason

I'll be pissed if I got DOA item as well

        • +1

For MAJOR FAULTS, Australian Consumer Law dictates unconditionally that the consumer is entitled to choose to obtain a refund from a supplier. We are a law abiding company. We will always in a case of a MAJOR FAULT allow the customer to select his/her choice of remedies (including refund obviously). If he/she has a case where there is a major fault with an item, we will refund him/her for sure.

        • +5

So in short did you give him a refund? He seems very pissed off.

        • +1

WELL can you please DICTATE that to WEST MELBOURNE Manager Jeff who thinks he is above the LAW…. since everybody in the SHOP & WHIRLPOOL and others that shops at CPL know Jeff…

I am giving him one last opportunity. I had a paperwork mistake in lodging the VCAT papers & they want me to rectify it before it goes thru….

LAST CHANCE for CPL to rectify this issue!

oh BTW.. I HAVE ABSOLUTELY not commented on any MSY sales>>>

        • +2

I went last sunday to give you guys another chance to rectify this issue…. LEON who thought I could get the refund ASKED JEFF the manager for this and he BLATANTLY said NO give him an EXCHANGE ONLY!!! I told him it was his final chance before I lodge it thru VCAT and he said GO AHEAD!!!!!!!

SO that is the FIRST EVER comment from CPLONLINE stating they are in line with ACL????

PROVE IT - RECTIFY THE ISSUE FOR EVERYBODY to SEE!!!

We will not be subject to your behaviour and these bully tactics. If you have a complaint, please speak to the store.

        • RE your major fault comments;
Under section 259(3)(a), the consumer (pinoy) is entitled to reject the goods OR s259(3)(b) recover compensation if the good or service is a major failure. The only exceptions are
          1) if the rejection period has lapsed (7 days)- not the case, has requested within 7 days
          2) goods were damaged by the consumer (this is also not the case, as was confirmed that it was DOA).

The way you have handled this is extremely unprofessional. That's not to say pinoy has handled this very well either. CAPS,SCREAMING, exclamation marks could have exacerbated the issues.

Would like to see how this turns out if it does reach VCAT

      • +1

Whoa there. So what is your warranty policy precisely?

      • +1

HOW do you want to resolve this??? Did you want the INVOICE # & THE WARRANTY DOA form thats been filled up and sign by both LEON & JEFF????? I HAVE IT.

  • -1

While all this is going on, we are approaching the limit of our stock. Only a few more units left. So if anyone is keen, be quick!

  • +1

Perversely, I really want one of these. I just have no need. I already have spare computers. But I want one T_T. Sorry OP, I like the offering but I can't justify. Please come break some of my other computers, then we'll talk.
