decent deal considering the 16gb card itself is approx $40

  • not a bad deal as the memory card selling $37.58 at DSE after the discounted.

  • +1

It says pickup not available, but is the offer available in stores?

    • Wondering that as well

      • I went in to South Wharf DFO and whilst they didn't have any record in their system of the deal they could see it on their site and honoured it.

        • Went in store to JBHIFI and they had a poster in the games section advertising this deal along with two other games instead of the lego series

  • Good deal but the vita lego games are shit, they are just the 3/DS version.

    • They can't be the 3/DS version, as the hardware is different. Do you mean that they are similar to the 3/DS versions?

      • They are PSP games (with one or two Vita games I think) I think he means they are 3/DS ported though.

I think Harry Potter and Lego Batman 2 are Vita.

  • man, I wish this was on last week.. I would have traded in my coke vouchers and got it, but I ended up getting the vita off DSE

    • -2

Better deals on ebay, $150 for vita w/16gb and often 3-4 games and extras.

      • Brand new or pre owned?

      • Atm there are a couple listed at over $230

  • damn it .. slightly better than DSE deal! .. vita def needs a mem card and there not cheap!

    • 16gb isn't big enough still. Get a 64gb for $100 if you can afford it.

      • I use an 8 GB and I can only fit 2 games.
ALL games require install. Therefore I can only cycle between 2 games at a time.
16 GB will give you 4 games. It's definitely workable.

        • +2

All games require install? Yeah, but most retail games have an extremely small one that's basically irrelevant.

        • Some games need massive updates, Killzone for instance has something like 3.5GB.

      • where from??? any recommendations??

        • Play-asia were doing 20% off which put them at $102 Delivered I think. Yes Asia is a bit more. SuperUFO is cheapest at around $90 delivered. Site looks dodgy but they are fine.

        • i got mine from superufo like 2 weeks ago….took awhile before they shipped but was fine

        • I got mine from superufo.
ordered last thursday (night) and it arrived tuesday. I was very impressed, as postage was only a couple of dollars..
          all up cost my $94.

        • I just placed an order on superufo…the site does look dodgy… LOL!

Did you all get the same problem of having to put the payment details on PayPal because it didn't auto generate? Also, I didnt receive an email confirmation from them saying payment has gone through (I got one from PayPal though). Just asking since the website did look dodgy and wanted to know from the ppl who bought from their store.

      • i have a 16gig seems fine but i use it mainly for remote play and just 4-5 games on the card .. :) 64 would be awesome but with buying ps4 and infamous and a vita i kinda couldn't justify the cost hehehehe

  • (profanity) yea, great deal OP. Was looking everywhere for a Ps vita + memory card deal.
    Cheers, will buy

  • 8gb is fine for me. Just use content manager and transfer finished games and saves to pc.

  • Need advise - I got PS Vita (wifi/3G) and Killzone Mercenary pack yesterday from JB at $199. Should I return this and get this one?

I was though thinking about buying the 64GB card (USD$87.18) from superufo anyway as I don't think 16GB is going to be enough (am I right?)

    • +1

Try to ask if you can swap the killzone for the Lego pack. It alone worths $60 that is about $20 more than KZ. Plus killzone is only a few bucks for US digital download.

    • +1

If you were going to buy Killzone anyway it's only a saving of about $10 (IIRC Killzone is $55 and the lego pack is $64?), so in that case maybe not, but otherwise well worth returning it. 16Gb is enough for ~4-6 full game downloads at a time or plenty of retail installs at once, and the lego games are pretty good.

      • But it is wifi/3G compared to wifi…

        • +1

I have the 3G vita. Can't say I've ever used it. Can't remote play the PS4 with it as 3G is too sucky for it. So there is very little reason to get the 3G.

        • which why ask to swap the KZ for Lego pack not mentioning to refund the whole lot. Some JBHiFi are nice enough to do it without any issue.

        • I was replying to the guy above me … hence the indented reply …

        • Fair point, but I for one will never pay a monthly fee to put a SIM card in my Vita. Zero percent chance until telcos allow you to have multiple SIMs for free which all draw from one data pool.

In the mean time, I can just use wifi hotspot.

        • You can have multi cards on a single account, but its a business only type account. That is probably 3x usual cost, so hardly worth it, but give telstra business a call.

    • The killzone pack is $199 at Jb? In store? Not listed on the website.

      • Price match of DSE deal. I am now realising that he was probably aware of this deal coming and he matched it very easily. Got sucked in with the must have a bargain quickly mentality. I hate you but I LOVE you OzBargain.

        • Got it, thanks :) but to be honest, I prefer the deal you got. Technically a better console and a game that is arguably better than all the vita lego games combined.

        • DSE untold deal was $169 for Vita 3G/WIFI + Killzone.

When you go instore, they will scan the console at $169 and the game at Nil.

Prolly a system error, but that error appears to be Aust wide.

        • This still the case? I will go in and buy one today

        • Depends where you are. I struggled to find one in Metropolitan Melbourne area. Hence, why I finally caved to what I could get my hands on.

  • I'm going to sell my Lego Pack, just the games. Any offers?

    • I just want the lego codes, don't need the card…

      I'll offer $20

      • -1

Careful, I think you're bidding a bid strong there.

        • -1

I was just thinking the same thing..

          $12 via paypal?

  • +2

any games worth paying beside p4g?

    • +1

Final Fantasy X/X2 HD Remaster, Tearaway, OlliOilli, Killzone: Mercenary.

    • Gravity Rush, Soul Sacrifice, Danganronpa, Virtue's Last Reward. And soon Borderlands 2.

  • i want ps vita ffor best price, any bundles for $169

  • +3

Nice deal - I'm just commenting to increase Vita sales as the more the merrier and the more game publishers / developers we will see embrace the platform. I think this device is going through a bit of a renaissance at the moment.

If you game, get the Vita - launch price was too high and put off the west. Current pricing, and nice hardware make this a true gamers' handheld. Love it.

Hopefully strong game list to build.

    Buy yours today!

    • +1

Yep I am pretty happy to see people buying vitas! the more sold the merrier it will be.

  • i caved and bought one :(

  • I am selling my lego games pack. Any one interested?

    • Still have it? How much?

  • Just called up DSE - Leichhardt Marketplace and none in stock and said bundle is no longer on sale. its full price.

  • Man, I want to play all the gundam games only, should i buy this pack and going back HK next week to get all the gundam games?

    • If you're gonna get it, this is as cheap as it gets.

  • I will pay $12 via paypal for the download code to all Lego games… Inbox me.

    • lol. reverse auction. i like your style. if only ebay was like this

      • Ebay did have this, but the replies to request listings were 99% fake. So Ebay removed the system.

I remember requesting a PS3, and this guy sent me proof photos from Gamespot.com. I had a good laugh that day.

  • Just wanted to add I was able to buy the 3G version in the bundle. Apparently their catalogue says 3G and website says WiFi only.

    • you're referring to JB HIfi right?

  • Thanks OP. Missed the DSE deal last week. picked up the 3G model and 16GB card from the local JB.

  • Does the memory card and lego voucher comes in a single pack? Wonder if JB can keep the voucher and give a better price?

    • Yeah it's in a single pack.

  • Any idea what's the range of prices for vita games? And what are the prices like for vita resale games?

    • $10-$50. Avg slightly cheaper than 3DS games.

  • Where's the best place to get FFX HD?

  • Deal expired?

    • Expires on the 15th of April

      • Where does it say say it? because whenever I go to the deal, it says its expired. unless it's available in store aswell

        • +1

I saw a poster instore today that also states it expires 15/4. That was in only 1 of 3 JB's though. Seems a bit hit and miss.

  • Strange, I went into my local JB Hi-Fi today, and they said they had no idea about the offer. Looked it up within their system, and they said it only goes live on April the 15th. Said they would have stock then and would be happy to offer it to me for that price and all…

Are they completely wrong or was this deal just put up early by mistake?

    • Have you got another store to check with? In Brisbane on Friday, I went to the 3 doors in the city. Only 1 had the deal but they were out of stock. They checked suburban stores for me and I picked up my console from one of the yesterday.

  • EB is WiFi only. JB has option of 3G fwiw.

    • JB is $199 for wifi only right? Or can you get 3G for same price?

      • +1

3G is same price. I got one for $199.

        • Get walking dead from ps store for $10. It is on easter sale. Before that top up ps store wallet $50 by PayPal and get bonus $10.

  • are the lego games actually any good? quick google of reviews seems to indicate not really :S

    • They are pretty much all NDS ports. Batman 2 and Harry Potter are both Vita versions (trophy support) the rest are all PSP.

    • I think the EB games bundle has been pretty much sold out as is…walked everywhere in melbourne today everything is sold so….I don't think asking would do much good now :(

      • Edit: I refreshed the page this morning on the EB site and it had stock…ordered mine :]..its mostly bought for the memory card anyway to my knowledge which is what I'm doing :D

        • I got the 16gb Disney mega pack and regretted it. Unless you really like the games in the pack otherwise just buy the 64gb memory card for $100.

  • Got the Lego pack. The codes come inside a case just like a game which I thought was interesting. Haven't opened it yet as not keen lol.
