  • Wow. That is cheap. (ex Perth)

Because KL is this airlines HUB. However there are many cheap fares from KL to beach destinations in Asia with other budget airlines that operate out of KLIA as-well as Air Asia. If you dont mind collecting luggage and re-checking in for your onward flight you will get cheaper fares that way.

Also Thai Air Asia X & NokScoot both Thai longhaul budget airlines will be launching in 2014, so you soon might have beach destination fares very cheap.

Oh and you put 27 question marks ;)

Fly to the South Pacific if you want direct flights or wait for Jetstar sales that are direct flights to Phuket or Bali. (Bali was $189 oneway two weeks ago on the dreamliner)

I personally would fly out of my way for airfares this affordable and so many connections.

          This is OZBARGIN!

        • Forget kl and that country.

I don't get this idiot sdatps. Only registered 2 weeks ago but already trying to break jv's record for negged comments by insulting other people's country. His country must be proud!

        • Lay off the super glue, son.

        • Tar meet same brush

        • lol sdatps. Then don't fly to KL. This is for people who want to go there, not have a cry and whinge and hope people pat your back. No one really cares what your opinion is so PO

      • People like you make me laugh, you fly all the way from Australia, which has some of the best beaches in the world so you can lie on a dirty beach in Asia surrounded by polluted water.

Asia is beautiful but you dont go there for the beaches.

    Nice find tightar… oh

  • Have only been able to find $242 return fares from Perth.

    Outbound $149
    - $0 Fare
    - $86 Airport Tax & Fees
    - $63 Fuel Surcharge

    Inbound $93
    - $0 Fare
    - $28 Airport Tax
    - $65 Fuel Surcharge

Is there a certain day that the airport tax and/or fuel surcharge is less?

Any help in the $179 return date ranges is appreciated!!

    • Duh…dont worry answered my own post by reading the OP.

Looks like taxes and surcharges are less on certain days?

      Cheers

  • I have already booked my tickets 6 months ago through a different AirAsia promo.
Today, if I book for the same flight itinerary, I would have paid about $200 less!!
And we are arriving on the morning they are operating KILA2, not sure if its a good thing or bad!

    • The current LCCT terminal closes on MAY9 even though KLIA2 opens MAY2, so you may or may not arrive at the new terminal, Air Asia has planned to transfer in phases, lets hope it all goes well and you don't have a problem. Having flown with AirAsia X around 18+ flights in the last 12 months im very glad they are moving to there newly built terminal. Have a great trip.

  • $280 return ex Perth… if the dates did match it could go as low as $179. I'm liking the new month view where you can scour for the lowest fare!

Who still wants to go to Kuala Lumpur after what happened to MH370?

    • -1

does anyone know if this flight is using Boeing 777-200ER?

      • +1

No, Air Asia X uses A330-300 and Air Asia uses A320-200

The only low-cost airline in the world to use a Boeing 777 is Scoot.

        • should be safe then! even if its flying over the new Bermuda triangle most other planes have made it there safely.

      • +1

Whatever car you drive, more people have died in that model this year than the people on MH370 so have you started walking everywhere as well?

        • i catch a train and then walk

        • more people have died on trains and walking than on the Malaysian Air missing plane. this year.

        • what about other plane crashes this year

  • -2

Air AsiaX , the airline Malaysian Airlines rejects.

  • sometimes I hate this site, I only just got back from a huge holiday.

our booking has been confirmed, thank you for choosing AirAsia X.
