Repco is really heating up oil pricing. They are saying their cheapest price ever, but it is the cheapest I have ever seen these products for. Includes Castrol Magnatec at $16.99, Magnatec Diesel at $16.99, GTX Modern Engine 15W40 at $9.99 and Edge 5W30 at $33.99. These are all 5 litre packs. There is a limit of three per customer, but at this price, fully understand. WOW! Saturday 19th of April

  • +1

Sounds like a one day sale, can't find anything in their Easter catalogue about it.

I don't know if Repco do a membership thing like SCA, do we have to be a member to take advantage of these offers?

    • Nope.

      • +1

Definitely no membership needed. Open to everyone. You can use your RACV / NRMA card to get an every day discount, but this can't be used with the special promotions. Anyone can get this deal.
It is Sat and Sun, but I would hurry to make sure you don't miss out.

I still have Magnatec 10w-40 I bought a month ago when they were on sale at $22, with receipts, should I return them now?

    • +2

If I was the shopkeeper I'd tell you to go jump

  • Good prices, but I can't seem to find the prices in their Easter Catalogue. 5W30 is listed at $59.

    • +1

This is over and above the Easter catalogue.

      The Easter deals still apply.

The oil is on sale Sat and Sun, but be quick to get this deal. Sat morning!

      • Plenty were at North Launceston an hour ago. Still 8 GTX 15/40 on the shelf for the cheapskates.
Surprisingly there wasn't a line up outside either.

  • This is going to be the 6th bottle of 5w30 in my house this weekend. Good thing, both my cars can use it :)

For Sydneysiders - stock level as of ~30 minutes ago…

    Taren Point - 14

Everywhere else are all gone or at least that's what I've been told by the checkout chick at Bankstown.

Shelves still full in Woolloongabba Brisbane.

  • First one in at East Bentleigh this morning. Bought 3 of the 15/40 modern engine 5l bottles. Pallet of about 30 in front of store. They won't last long. I paid twice this some months ago. Thanks for posting.

  • Got two bottles of magnatec for $16.50 each at Supercheap auto price matching/beating Recpo's deal. Super cheap in yarraville know about Repco's deal and sell it pretty easy at the price. I got an oil filter 20% off too because of super cheap has 20% off everything full price for members. :)

  • thanks OP. Good price. bought Castrol Magnatec ($16.99) and GTX Modern Engine 15W40 ($9.99), one bottle each. I saw 70% of the customers bought these products in the early morning.

  • Fair few boxes in Phillip ACT. But a few Indians already there ;)

some very angry people at my local Repco store turning up first thing Sunday morning only to find empty shelves.
Two day sale..my arse.. The poor staff were copping a flogging from irate customers. I left before it got ugly and someone was going to get hurt. Youd think they move stock around or get a delivery from the warehouse Saturday night to fill up shelves. scam

    • someone is going to make a delivery easter weekend on a saturday night? LOL.

I went saturday morning and they had a huge shipment (eg they had a pyramid 10x10 boxes wide - each box = 3 bottles) - they were shifting stock like nobody's buisness. Its the OZB phenomenon - either its cheap and it sells fast so people complain that they cant get any or its not cheap and people complain that its not cheap.

        /===========================
Yes. Its not as if anybody works on Easter Saturday or Easter Sunday. The staff in Repco must have been cyborgs or something cause humans dont work Easter weekends nor do internal logistics. SCA was price matching so got my ozbargains. Wasnt going to stick around to see someone shove Castrol GTX up someones posterior.

    • first thing Sunday morning

      Scam?
It started Saturday. You snooze, you lose.

You didn't think to mention SCA price match to your fellow late-comers? I would have, and made sure the Repco staff heard it. That's turnover they're missing, and maybe they'll learn to stock more in the future.

  • It started Saturday. You snooze, you lose.

Did you read my previous post?

You didn't think to mention SCA price match to your fellow late-comers? I would have, and made sure the Repco staff heard it. That's turnover they're missing, and maybe they'll learn to stock more in the future.

So i would have had to drive back to Repco, stand outside the door and ushered ppl to SCA because Repco's logistics fluffed this up ?

I had my sock draw to organize.

    • I replied to this:

some very angry people at my local Repco store turning up first thing Sunday morning only to find empty shelves.

      With this:

It started Saturday. You snooze, you lose.

What part of that confuses you, Nuno?

So i would have had to drive back to Repco, stand outside the door and ushered ppl to SCA because Repco's logistics fluffed this up ?
I had my sock draw to organize.

Drive back? Who said anything about making a second trip? I sure as hell didn't. Doesn't everybody know the SCA price beat guarantee?
I'd have said "oh well, let's see if SCA can help us" on my FIRST trip, instead of just gawking at aggro customers. Assuming you were actually there to witness said "very angry people" on Sunday morning?

The only risk would be if they all took my advice and SCA sold out before I got there.

But hey, we got our oil so who cares, right?

      • It started Saturday. You snooze, you lose.

So I see you selectively omitted my comment about a super chain like Repco not having the ability to mobilize their distribution and replenish their stock overnight. Especially as they ran their ad on Saturday night as well.

Doesn't everybody know the SCA price beat guarantee?

Obviously not. Otherwise the majority would make a bee line to their nearest SCA store instead of lynching the poor sales ppl.

I'd have said "oh well, let's see if SCA can help us" on my FIRST trip, instead of just gawking at aggro customers.

Gawking at angry customers? LOL. There were no fist-cuffs flying so I surreptitiously left. You are confused my friend. Borderline delusional thinking.
Good for a Thursday LOL though.

I'm normally happy to dissect a sentence at a time if you still don't get it. But I can't be bothered. Anyone can scroll up to read your posts if they want to.

Gawking at angry customers? LOL. There were no fist-cuffs flying so I surreptitiously left. You are confused my friend. Borderline delusional thinking.

          Your words:

The poor staff were copping a flogging from irate customers. I left before it got ugly and someone was going to get hurt.

So which is it Nuno? Or did you leave because there was no spectacle for you, as you put it:

There were no fist-cuffs flying so I surreptitiously left.

You seem bitter about that. So not only did you have to drive to SCA, you also missed a great YT upload hey?

          In summary it's quite simple:
Not a scam. You were late
