Following the success of my recent Gearbest posts, I've kindly been asked by Gearbest if I could continue to post on their behalf. I TWAM'd the moderators to make sure it was all above board, and they agreed it was fine as long as I ticked the little rep box. Let me say from the outset that I'm not affiliated with them, I'm not related to them, I'm not friends with them, and I'm certainly not in business with them. However, I'm happy to say I'll be posting more deals for Gearbest as a 'rep', and hopefully at fantastic prices.

I don't get (or expect to get) anything to do this. I just love posting great deals that save people money!   • Mine was shipped the 8th of May. According to what they sent me it takes 12 to 25 business days. So far it has been 37 days all up. Just over what they say. Escalated a claim. Will see what happens.

    Also got the bike bag. Filed a claim for that too. Will be escalated that too soon.

      Screw your company policy. Your policy is to list your shipping time as 5-11 days. It has been 40 business days. Why should anyone have any confidence in anything you say from now on?

      I did try to contact you. I started a Paypal dispute and you responded to my first query but not the second one about how I can't track the bulls#%t tracking number you gave me (tried singapore post website, speedpost and trackntrace.com.sg).

      Claim has now been escalated to be decided by Paypal. I don't have an issue if you tell me it's going to take 23549827 days to get here, no worries, I just won't buy your product. Just don't lie to me.

      I appreciate the attempt to smooth things over mate, but it's been 37 days for me. As you have zero knowledge of the specifics of my order, you can understand why I don't believe your claim that it has been mailed, or that it will arrive in the next eight days.

      I think it's more likely that your company informed us that our items had been mailed to us when in fact, they had not.

      We cannot confirm if this is true, as we haven't paid for the flat rate, and you can palm off the late shipping on another company (postal company) rather than admitting that you had low stock or not enough staff to send everything out quickly.

          I request however that you stop making reference to the flat rate shipping as a reason that we have not recieved our items yet. If we paid for a tracking number shipping would be the same speed, which is unacceptably slow. Furthermore, those who have paid for a tracking number have received tracking numbers that don't work.

          I know that you wouldn't have responsibility for the late shipping as the PR person, but hopefully you can understand that with so many people being affected these standard letters aren't going to fly.

    • I did contact you, I gave you the as much time as I could before I raised a paypal dispute with the specific message that it had been 44 days and counting.
      Your response was to say I chose standard shipping and to give it a few more days, no mention about your refund offer like you are offering now.

      It's been 54 days, I will give it one more business day just to see if it arrives. If it's not here by Monday night I'll escalate through paypal.

        • I just got a response Gearbest via Paypal telling me to keep waiting until the end of the week for it to arrive?!

          You clearly say that it will take 15-45 days and to contact you for a refund if it hasn't arrived after 45 days.

          After 44 days I inform you that it hasn't arrived, you say to wait a few more days which I am happy to do.

          Today after 58 days I ask for my refund and you reply telling me to wait until the end of the week?!

          You're not doing yourself any favours Gearbest, a lot of people here will be left with a bad image of your company after this.

      I also STILL have not received my item. I ordered April 20th, it has now been almost 2 months and I have not received the item, which is completely unacceptable for a company that claims 5-11 business days for Australia.
      If I had known it was going to take this long, I never would have ordered from you.

      I contacted customer service to request a refund, and they are just further increasing my frustration with Gearbest.

      Firstly, they stated it was shipped out on 07/05/2014. This was 13 business days after! It can't possibly be delivered in the advertised delivery time because Gearbest didn't even ship it before then! Look, I can understand you may have got more orders than you first accounted for, but I didn't even receive email notification of a delay. By this stage, things were already unacceptable.

      but THEN customer service states that it will take about 15-45 business days to arrive after dispatch. Um, what? Where on your website does it advertise this? Even the regions with the slowest shipping you advertise as 10-25 business days. 45 business days is a very, very long time to ship something so small.

      Gearbest then have the audacity to blame shipping times on public holidays, and that it is outside of their control. That's blatantly a lie when I have had many many other items turn up that I have ordered after I ordered from Gearbest.

      Customer service then asked me to contact my post office to track the package. I have no tracking, and they know this. They are just wasting my time, and passing the buck on to someone else.

      Cmon Gearbest. You know this is ridiculous.

  • FYI - I escalated my Paypal dispute to a claim. Gearbest stretched it out for days, waiting till the last allowable day before responding with a BS tracking number. I spoke to a Paypal rep on the phone that said the tracking number was bogus and they immediately refunded my money. 56 days and counting - still no item for most customers on OzB … simply not good enough gearbest!!!!

    I too have placed an order on the 19th April, and received the same advise that the item was only shipped on the 7th May, with a shipping number that also cannot be tracked anywhere.
    When contacting your customer service via your website they continue to have to blame the extended shipping which is BS.

    Things are hard on the front lines of mailbox opening, and I can only see darker times ahead.

    I had pinned my hopes that my order that you graciously received would arrive yesterday. The Australian Postage Service often delivers packages on a Monday. Their system of moving packages internally on the weekends but not visiting homesteads ensures this.

    It has been 60 days or 41 business days. My mailbox opening ways will continue. I hope you do you part in filling it.

    Even though I've never truly experienced my bluetooth shower speaker, I long for it's vibratory embrace.

  • Guys, I had to call paypal, they have closed the claim and refund the money( invalid tracking number). You better call paypal before it time out, because the claim was waiting on me since gearbest sent the "tracking number".

        I have been given a refund by gearbest now.

        My feedback is that you should communicate with the rest of your team there.
        You mentioned to contact you if we didn't receive it after 45 days to arrange a refund here on OzBargain, but whoever handles the paypal communication said to keep waiting even at the 58 day mark.

        Try and get everyone on the same page there to cause less frustration.

    I placed the order on the 19th of April which if it doesn't come tomorrow (which I highly doubt it would) will mark it at 2 months since the order date. Nothing else I've purchased online has taken this long, even the ones shipped from China.

    This is not the first deal where GB has lengthy or no show products. Surely based on these stats GB shouldn't be allowed to post anymore deals in OB until they can somehow prove that they fix their ordering/shipping process.

    • I completely agree, I have been buying stuff online for 15 years now (yes, I was an early adopter) nothing has EVER taken so long to arrive from anywhere in the world!

      I bought two of these on separate orders and both tracking numbers are bogus, which tells me that they never sent them. And yet, they keep insisting us to wait 45 days before they process a refund??

          Are you able too back up ANY of your words or promises with actions? Or do you ignore requests to provide refunds unless forced by PayPal and attempt to get around that with the bogus 45 day wait-before-disputing 'policy'?
          I'm pretty sure what you are doing is illegal in more ways than one.

  • Was wondering if other people had got theirs yet. I ordered on the 19/4, had to message them to ask why it hadn't even been shipped out, was told it was then shipped on the 7/5 (surprise surprise, the day after I contacted them..) and STILL nothing.

    This is getting beyond a joke. You've really damaged your brand here on OzBargain, Gearbest.. you've just blown a whole heap of new business you could have had if you'd just done the right thing and advertised accurate postage and delivery times.

    Been burnt now, won't be ordering from you again. Now, if only I'd opened a Paypal dispute when I had the chance.

          Gearbest has taught me one thing. Make sure you raise a dispute in PayPal at day 44 or before, which luckily I did on this occasion.I'm sure that had it not have been for an escalation at day 60, I'd have never seen my money again. 1 email, 3 tickets on their site and PayPal dispute, nothing but stalling tactics.

      I'd let gearbest know, and also (perhaps more importantly ozbargain!). Based on a couple of similar experiences in the past with other online sellers, I'd say they'd say not to worry about it and to enjoy your free speaker. Worst case scenario, you pay your $$ and still get an awesome deal, albeit a bit slow!

    • Well nevertheless it still has taken a long long while, if china post has made a fault then they should be liable to paying some compensation to gearbest perhaps.
      I'd be happy to give back half the amount though.
      But it's not going to turn up!
      It just isn't!

    Two days ago I sent them an email requesting a refund for my two orders (today is 2 months to the day since I placed my orders), but there has been no response or even an acknowledgement of my request.

    • Just ring paypal and they'll fix it up immediately. Unless you have not lodged a dispute?

    Even though I got my refund a few days ago, I thought I'd point out another week has gone by and it still hasn't arrived.
