909 12v Lithium Ion Cordless Drill + Multitool $29 Masters VIC

230

Seems cheap for the random around home DIY opportunity. They use a li-ion battery, and have battery indicators. There is also a $29 li-ion 12v combination set including a drill and impact driver at masters too.

With credits to PLA74, here is the product featured on the 909 site:

  • Damn can't seem to add to cart:(

  • Wow. Nice find. A big Ryobi one+ fan, but still this is cheap!!

Would only be good for light duty work. 12V will have you pulling your hair out on annoying tougher.

    • This is light duty because it is designed to be light duty, not because it is 12v. You can get trade stuff that is 12v.

I've a 12V AEG kit. The AEG is powerful enough for what I do as it seems to produce a fair amount of torque so this might be OK. Unfortunately the batteries are at end of life and they don't make them anymore.

This kit seems to indicate that it has two batteries, can anyone confirm ?
The Masters site doesn't come up with any replacement 12V and the 909 site is the same so getting replacements might be difficult. Then again at this price would you need to.

  • None In Any Of The W.A. Stores

    • Really? Just checked and shows stock in Bibra Lake and Forrestdale

  • Looks like Chullora NSW has stock too.

    • It doesn't allow you to collect and pick.

Unfortunately, My house pretty far from the shop. :(

  • Any feedback on the quality of the batteries ?

They'd be pretty ordinary, especially as 12v… But for $29, great for someone who'll only use it for occasional light work!

  • shows Oakleigh South VIC has stock.

The package contents are twin pack, what does it mean?
And is the 12V battery rechargeable?

    Thanks! Great find btw!

Also guys, the 15% discount, can we use that coupon in-store or online only?

    • I bought a toilet suite 2 weeks ago. Woman in store told me I had to order online as click and collect to get the discount!

      • Ah ok yeah, oh well. I can't click and collect this at my store (tingalpa in Brisbane).
        Still an awesome price lol!

  • The impact driver is pretty good. (i have one)

  • Does anyone have the link to the impact driver?

  • Masters website does not have a "Add to cart" button.

    • Probably because of this…

      Click then Collect Unavailable
      Postal Delivery Unavailable
      Truck Delivery Unavailable
      In Store Unavailable

  • Master's Northland (VIC) is showing that they have stock.

However - All their stock left has had their batteries stolen, so there are no more Twin packs left.

There are about 5x triple packs for $55 (Drill, Multi-tool, Nail driver)
I'll never use the nail driver, but I guess for $55, it's still pretty cheap. Plus is comes with 909 days warranty - so be sure to keep your receipt!
