  • lol, nice find…,.

dont think steve and the virgin guys will be too happy bout this.

  • so let me get this straight… they're actually paying me to get this?

    how many can i buy :) ?

    • Moneyback paid per transaction and not per item, so even if you buy 3 prepaid SIM's in one transaction you will receive $30 moneyback only. You are allowed upto 2 consecutive transactions within a 24 hour period.

  • So I spend $5 and get given back $30….

Is that really the case? A $25 profit?

    • yup ive received my $45 dollars for joining bankwest and $31 for joining st George so its legit but i did use buckscoop they're both the same anyway

      • Hi,

are those money back offers you spoke off still in effect?

        Thanks yo

    • You might want to check the MoneyBackCo conditions.

I believe that MoneyBackCo is advising of what has been advised by the client. My own experience from the previous offer, where it was $7 back after a $5 payment …

1 - Virgin only wanted to reimburse for 1 sim per transaction

2 - the sim cards go "stale" in the Virgin system if unused or unactivated (not sure) after some time

3 - it typically took about 3-4 months to get reimbursements

4 - it took them about 3 - 14 days to get sim cards out to me

5 - after a number of transactions, they simply did not send me any more sim cards.
I enquired why and they advised me that there is a limit to how many sim cards they may send
to an individual. At this stage I believe they have not refunded me the money and I need
      to chase them for it.

6 - at the time, I believe the terms and conditions said that MoneyBackCo cannot take responsibility for non compliance by a client

7 - however, it helped to have read through the procedures. eg at that time, Moneybackco would mark $1 owing for each transaction; updating it maybe weeks later to the $7, after the client confirmed the transaction had gone through

      • 2 - the sim cards go “stale” in the Virgin system if unused
or unactivated (not sure) after some time

        Correct.

Unactivated Virgin PREPAID Starter Packs always expire (aka "Go Stale") in 2 years from the "Date Of Manufacture".

The Date Of Manufacture is the date printed on the sticker on the back of the Starter Pack. You cannot see it when you purchase it online.

  • remember Moneybacko keeps the first $10 each year :)

  • looks like more info over here

Also, if you haven't already accumulated more than $10 in cashback with Moneybackco, Buckscoop used to charge $0 annual administration (but check the terms and conditions for yourself)

  • Sorry guys first time using MoneyBack

How do I do this? Do I just sign up, log in and click on that green button that redirects me to Virgin and then I just complete the buying process there?

    • Right

    • also keep records of your transactions etc. I think you should get a transaction showing in Moneybackco, within a week, for $1 … which should change to $30 after a few weeks … payment transaction recorded maybe weeks after that.

At each stage, if it's somewhat late (more info on that on their site) you can lodge a query with them via a button on the transaction listing page, letting them know what you think should be there.

      • Yeah I lost some transactions due to last time purchased. Status in MBC showed CANCEL but Virgin got my money and I received my sim cards so now I still have a few sims haven't use as I already have post paid with them. The last time credit expire in 30 days but now only 10 days!
I lost my money last time so try 1 to get my money back.

        • I and my friends found that, although it said the credit would last for 30 days, if we had unused credit it was expired after just 10 days …

I'm glad to see the new offer has the correct amount of expiry time listed.

Sorry to hear they cancelled some of yours.

      • geez The MBC process makes rebates seem fast by comparison. I am still waiting on MBC charges from May 09

  • Did anyone get this cashback yet ? My account still shows tracking (using moneybackco)..
