    Does this plan support SSH**
    .
    .
** I have no idea what this means but always seems to be asked in similar deals

    • Yes it does, you can enable SSH in nvArea (our client portal).

      • +1

Why such a LOW # (ie, 3) of additional domains, at $2/month [after 1st year]?

How much can it cost to provide UNLIMITED add'l & / parked Domains for all Economy.

        Others do this… so can you… Now, THAT's Economy… ;-)

        • After a year just switch to 9web for $2/month (or they regularly have deals here for $1/month) for unlimited domains

        • Difference between being a reseller, and owning hardware, APNIC IPs, 24x7 Support. Need to compare apples with apples at times.

Not to mention the ability to have self service features like enabling SSH, Remote MYSQL, Cloudflare Railgun and permission fixer all without the need to submit a ticket or contact support.

        • There's a very good reason. As each account is limited to resources utilising CloudLinux (also used by the same host posted below), if you have busy sites that use lots of hardware (CPU & RAM), it can cause issues. Splitting accounts up into their own cPanel accounts ensures stability moving forward as your site grows. We often run promotions for existing customers too. :)

        • if you have busy sites that use lots of hardware (CPU & RAM)

REP, it's safe to say at $1 per year you are not targeting busy sites that require lots of hardware. Besides, if a website owner has such a busy site I doubt they would still be on shared hosting anyway.

        • You raise a good point :-)

Although I still think our setup is more economically viable for long term (we've been around for years).

        • Hi Rep,
Any current promotions for existing customers?

        • Make sure you have marketing emails enabled in nvArea, I believe one will be happening for existing customers in the next few days.

  • Is this secure?

    • Security is our highest priority (always has been, always will).

      • +1

        SSH = security standard high?

        • +1

          Close, Secure Shell ;)

  • Do you have outgoing email filtering processes in place ?

    • We currently have a system in place for on some of our Sydney servers, We're fairly happy with the results so far and will likely deploy fleet wide once final testing is complete.

  • Is their an option to turn off auto renewal

    • Not natively no, but technically you could submit a cancellation and set it to end of billing period and it would just terminate once it comes to renewal time (and won't invoice you).

      • so if i setup an account now and pm you, can you do it for me

        • +2

If you setup an account you can just log into nvArea => Click Hosting Services => click the drop down and click Cancel Service (then set to end of billing period).

  • How is Mr Daniel Szymanski going these days?

  • great price, can't hurt to try

    • Welcome aboard :)

  • Any domain specials for OzBargain users on those free .net.au domains using the WPNETAUFREE promo code? ;)

  • yay! just registered

    • Welcome aboard :)

  • Is it safe to upload a resume? Or is there a way to do it privately with a unique URL so it is not exposed to the "world wide web".

    • You can create a unique URL for the resume file and use a password protected directory to secure it.

There are a few ways to get this done so it's not directly public accessible.

      • That's awesome! do you have a step by step tutorial on how to do this?

        • We do, but it doesn't have much information on it (I'll have the guys update this).

All you need to do is log into cPanel (once signed up) and click on the password protected directories link.

I joined these guys a few weeks ago on their Saver plan and paid $36 for 2 years. I've had zero problems so far, their servers are decent, easy to use and they have the usual cpanel stuff that is perfect for a small personal (or maybe even small business) website. Recommended.

      Thanks for your recommendation.

      • BTW Store Rep, on your web hosting page, in the Saver+ column, it says "$1.50 per month*" but the asterisk doesn't refer to anything that I can find on the page. You should either put in what the condition is or get rid of the asterisk as it's confusing.

        • Agreed, it was referring to the 2 year minimum sign up however we've removed a lot of the limitations on this plan regarding the billing cycles.

  • do i have to have a domain name?

    • You don't have to, you can use a placeholder domain (such as hugotestingdomain.com).

      • i mean to access the website on it

        • That wouldn't be public accessible without a domain unfortunately.

You can use a HOSTS file on your computer to access it for yourself only though.

    • I was all set to sign up for this.. until I spoke to someone on the Live Chat, and he informed me that there will be a fee to change the domain name later. My problem is - I haven't yet purchased my domain name (still deciding on exact name).

To the OP/rep - if you can waive the fee, then I will definitely sign up now! (Hope that isn't too much to ask for.)

      • +1

Consider it done :) Submit a ticket and provide the link to this page and we'll waive it when you are ready to make the change.

        • Awesome! Thanks for doing that, you've made up my mind for me.

          I've just signed up. :)

        • i need this too~

        • +2

Just quote this deal and we'll make it happen :-)

        • could I get it waived as well when I'm ready to change? I haven't decided on a domain name yet either. Thanks in advance!

  • how much is for the 2nd year?

    • $24

      • Depends on which plan you go for, but $24 is correct for the Saver+.

  • Hi rep - hope you don't mind me asking here, if not appropriate please let me know.

    1. At the end of the first year, can we freely upgrade or downgrade our hosting plans? eg. if we want less or more storage and bandwidth.

    2. Does your domain management tool allow creation/editing of all the different record types (eg. CNAME, MX, SRV/TXT)?

    Thanks in advance.

You can upgrade / downgrade without a problem :)

      Yes it does :-)

      • Great - thanks for the quick reply, much appreciated.

  • signed me up for a $1 account. Lets see how this year goes before i extend

The 250 free sms is a good bonus

    Thanks rep

    • Welcome aboard :) Let us know if we can assist with any questions.

  • Hi, when does this deal expire? Thanks

  • thanks, pretty sweet deal.

  • Hi again rep - I tried to sign up another domain this morning under this deal, only to find that the code no longer works.

I see this deal was marked expired last night - wanted to ask, would it be at all possible to extend this promo pricing for my second domain, please? I would be so grateful!

  • Anyone have access to their domain yet? I got an email saying "This process is called propagation and can take up to 48 hours." but its well overdue.

I keep getting "server not found"

    • I recommend contacting support (or respond with your ticket ID if you already have) and I'll take a look. It does sound like DNS propagation though.
