    Don't need the following (as in they are useless Tools);

    Impact Driver (RID1801)
    Corner Cat Sander (CCC180G)
    Area Light (CAL180G)
    AM/FM Radio (CDR180G)
    Torch (RFP1801)
    Hand Vacuum (CHV182G)
    and
    1x Drill Bit Set
    1x Driver Bit Set

so then it makes it not a great deal after all.

Think peoples!!! don't be brainwashed with "you must have this…this this…"

agree about the impact driver, would rather have 2 drill drivers, torch always need light so good to have it in the kit, vacuum OK to clean the car if it is any good.
was so temped on the last deal, even went to Bunnings but knocked it on the head because of the low ah batteries
      need to sleep on it.

An impact driver may be useless if you only do light work but many people I know wouldn't be without one.

Bought Ryobi once and would never do it again.

      • agree! at my age with one foot in the pit, only do light work now.

Bought Ryobi once and would never do it again —- care to elaborate,

personally used Makita and AGE tools. Bosch drill x2, just sit in the cupboard don't like them
Makita batteries are stuffed cost about $86 each last time I looked. they are over 15 yrs old if my memory is correct

  • This is OzBargain…Not OzMakeASensibleDecision!

I might not need another dozen Eneloops but goddammit if they're 20 bucks, it's a bargain and I'm gonna buy them.

+1 to the OP for being 2/3 the price.

BTW, the Ryobi build quality is quite good for the price point too. The new batteries work with all the existing skins and the 18v gardening range.

Come to think about this should have been available for Mothers Day :-)

  • Trying to get my head around whether this is worth it given half the tools are useless for me. Could hock the useless tools on fleabay or they might come in handy one day :P

  • Now compare it to the AEG kit they sell.

  • Does anyone want to split the box ? I just need a couple of batteries
