  • Pretty sure the new Atom processors are better than this for the same price SSD size might be smaller.

    Eg. Toshiba Encore
    Dell Venue
    Asus T100
    Acer W8

    • Bay Trail Atoms are probably on par with this in terms of performance, but use less power. Aspire P3 has "Maximum Battery Runtime: 6 Hours"1 which the new Atom tablets run rings around.

Having said that has anyone made an 11.6" bay trail powered convertible?

Is that cheap? What's the normal price?

  • How dodgy is this…

Last week they were selling it for $600, and stated on their page…

"This item is on Sale, special price will end on 12/05/2014 7:00:00 AM"

Yes, the 'sale' price did end, they dropped the price by a further $200

Apparently the pentium 2129Y is slight better performance than Z2760 which is the one I'm using in my Dell Venue Pro 8

  • for this form factor you might aswell go for the w700 with i5/4gb ram for 160 more

I have boycotted Acer now because of their cashback scheme. It's appalling!
Still chasing up 2 CBs for the android tabs I bought 6mths ago…

Why can't they just won't discount the product directly?!

For the record: I did post the docs to them by registered post & they still trying to weasel out of it by claiming they never received it. They had to sign for it, for cryin' out loud!

    • Just because they've signed something doesn't mean I "received" it….. they could of just signed it and asked the postman to slide it into the shredder :D

      • that just means their incoming mail department signed for it

it doesnt actually mean it got to the right person for processing

        Acer logic!
