Hell yeah! Their new quattro formaggi pizza (at least a new line in SA, nice cheese pizza with blue cheese) is very tasty.

Also, spinach pizza + mushroom pizza sandwiched together = awesome!

"Hell yeah! Their new quattro formaggi pizza"
They sold that one when they first started being sold in Australia, then they dropped that line.
Hope they come back on the shelves here in backwater Perth WA :-), love the cheese flavour with that one, but the mushroom one is hard to beat :-)

As for pizza "sandwich action", when we were in Rome, some of the shops that sold cooked Pizza by weight would fold the pieces over on themselves, I thought they were being arseholes, but it worked well, loved it.

    • Woolies has wood fired pizza for 2.49 pretty good as well.

50% off lindt 100g chocolate blocks ($1.80) in qld! i'm going to be stocking up on those

  • The half price deals seem to pop up at both majors within a few weeks of each other. The soup is at a great price but Woolworths had it at $1.60 last week and a week or two before had it at the price above at $1.64. I stocked up a little bit at $1.64 and then a lot at $1.60 so I don't need to use the Coles special.

I think I got things cheaper at Woolworths. I used a 5% off RACV Wish card for the soup and I purchased the soup online using a 10% off code.

  • In an epic bout of stupidity, I thought the sale begun today.

I absolutely love Dr. Oetker pizzas. They're better than any takeaway, and as good as most homemade pizzas.

So I strolled down to Coles, packed 12 pizzas into my trolley (grabbed them from the freezer section where they usually put sale items) and went to the checkout. I was on the phone at the time, and didn't notice the price. Used paypass and strolled back on home. I've just realised that I've paid full price. Is there any ozbargain way out of this, or is it just a lesson to be learned?

Your results are going to vary depending on who you speak to at the store when you go back.

Stores usually won't take back items from the freezer or other chilled sections more than 2 hours after purchase.

You may find a sympathetic staff member at customer service tomorrow, after the sale begins who will refund the difference using the receipt. I don't know whether you'll have to bring back the items to show you still have them.

The only OzBargain like strategy I can think of is claiming that the stock was put in the "sale" freezer too early and was deceptive to customers(ie false advertising). I've often seen stock moved into prominent places the day before a sale starts. Sometimes there are no prices on the stock and sometimes the old prices are on the stock and then changed the day the sale starts. I have no idea whether this technique will work. You'd have to be really careful how you worded your enquiry.

      • Thanks a lot mate. I'll take the receipt down their tomorrow and try and work some magic.

    • they'll taste all the better knowing that you paid full price for them, won't they? :)
