Guys - Link to actual online catalogue now available:

Just traded in 2 x PS2,s at EB that cost me $10 at a garage sale for $42 store credit, pre-ordered MK8, and they'll price match Big W's $58 catalogue price. So in effect it's costing me $26 for the game plus the free digital download….winning

    • What games were they? I thought EB Games don't take PS2 titles anymore.

      • He means the console. EB are giving $20 credit for the PS2 console working or not.

      And?

  • Catalogue is online now. Mario Kart 8 deal on page 17: https://www.bigw.com.au/offer/catalogue#view=catalogue2&sale…

    • Hmm online still says $68.

      • If you are talking about the catalogue price it does not start until tomorrow

  • Will it be on shelf at opening time?

    • depends on how lazy your local big w staff is

    • It wasn't on shelf when I went this morning.

  • +1

I'll find out in 8 min

  • yay the 10% voucher worked, dont know about combining it with any other discount cards as I dont have one. Bought from Epping store, will be sold out as the only had 10 left and there was a line behind me.
cheers, see you guys "on the line" :)

    • +1

Yeah I was there too, and one of the guys in front of me bought 2, and I was worried that Broden was standing in the line in front of me lol

I feel sorry for anyone who headed there after 9

      • got the last one at 9.

  • Picked up my copy. Now to wait for work to finish!

  • Big W epping and QV sold out, I just price matched at JB for 58.

And how do we claim foe the free game nothing in the case mentions it?

    • there's a club nintendo code inside

      • Ah right ok

Big W riverton (WA) still has a bunch of copies. Not on the shelf though, under the counter. Just display boxes on the shelf. No issues using the 10% voucher, and no crowd either :)

  • Big W and EB games at Waverley Gardens VIC sold out.

  • Sold out at most Melbourne stores. Was hard to find but Pakenham has about 10-12 copies still. Fountain Gate, Endeavour Hills, Karingal and others all sold out

  • Top Ryde and Macquarie Park Big W NSW all sold out. So what's the deal with the Target Code is it actually guaranteed or what

    • Target online click and collect will work for you (if you aren't going to fire it up for a few days!) and use the code TENOFF during guest checkout, $52.20 and collect when it comes in through the week!

      • I second this. I bought it this morning at $52.20 using code TENOFF.

        Code WELCOME didn't work.

YOu do have to wait though for Target to say the product has arrived.

Got mine this morning at Tea Tree Plaza (SA), there were 4 peeps including me, I expected a big queue but looks like not many wii u gamers here. Got in scanned and out I go. Playing now and it's definitely a 10/10 game.

Anyone registered for the free game? Is it an email code? Haven't received any notification.

  • Superb deal… picked up Mario Kart 8 for A$52.20 at BigW in Kawana, Sunshine Coast this morning with no problems… downloading my free Pikmin 3 now. That's only A$26.10 per game, love it!!!

Plus if you have a Deluxe WiiU, you can claim 500 points on the DPP website https://p.nintendo.net/deluxe/ which gave me $7 of eShop credit!!

      • What did you get the points for? I thought you only get points for eshop purchases?

        • +2

Yep and for whatever reason the free eShop Zelda Windwaker that I redeemed through the Mario Kart 8 offer gave me 519 points - so it seems to have based it off the retail price and not the '$0' price.

        • cool

        • Same with Wonderful 101, 519 points. Thanks stratbargain :-)

        • They must have fixed the issue up now, I redeemed mine today and have no extra premium points since my Legend of Zelda 1 purchase about half a year ago.

        • But did you have to do anything to claim these points on DPP?

        • Mine took a day to show up

        • I did a digital download and I get points for Mario but not for Zelda … given the comment above maybe Zelda misses out?

        • I take that back - points added this morning.

Went to big w lilydale. Sold out. Want to cry so hard. WAAAAAAAH! Guess the reason is ppl buy this game for free downloaded game, correct?

    • I bought it because it is a good game with another good free game.

  • Sweet, ended up grabbing a copy this morning, was sold out on the wkend when i tried to buy it.
Missed out on the 10% off Big W deal but grabbed the last copy at Target Centrepoint (SA) for $58
Now to decide if i want Pikmin 3 or Wonderful 101 (i have all the other good ones)

Big W Belmont did the usual saying they never got stock. Yet every other Big W in the country seemed to get stock OK.
These guys are shifty there. They tried to charge me extra for the last bike of a particular brand for sale because its assembled.
Even though the bike had a barcode and scanned at the box price.

    • They would charge an assembly fee which is pretty standard.

      • Why? I wanted one in the box. They dont have any left. They had 1 bike already assembled with a price tag and a barcode and refused to sell it to me for that price.

        • I thought you'd get it cheaper cause it was the floor stock model?

        • +2

Usually it's because the company has to pay someone to come in and 'professionally' assemble the bikes and they're trying to recoup that money.

And then someone needs to 'professionally' check the bike is safe to sell, otherwise they end up with a Kmart situation.

        • …well that seems odd. She'd ridden it for 18 months before with no issue? Such a dangerous situation though

  • This is available at Big W online for $58; seems to be the best current price I could find
