    24 month contract? NEVER.

    • Agree - was in an 18-month contract with another ISP. Regretted it from the start.

    • Then just pay the connection fee…

      • why, churning to lots of other ISP's is free.

        half price Internet is good.

  • Not available in SA

  • Great deal, i would taken up the offer if i can get ADSL2+ in my area. I'm on Telstra RIM of HELL…..

  • Not available for me in my suburb BUT less than 1KM away (in next suburb) it is :-(
Good price of $59.95 for "theoretically" 120GB of downloads per months- during 2am-10am off-peak time.

  • 24months is a long time to be locked in especially for an Eftel company.

  • Definitly not a bargain, I don't know many people who have gone into a 24 month contract and not regretted it.

  • GOOD DEAL +1
It's a good deal, when/if prices change in the next 24months you simple change it or AANET will do it for you. I've been with AANET for ages and whilst on contract when they lowered their prices they also lowered the contract. GG

    • And what if other ISP changes their plans and you want to go with them?

      • Ok if you want to change ISP you might have to pay a chrun fee, and or setup fee, thus USUALLY negating the benefit of changing to another ISP.

  • Does data include upload? it seems so, not sure what is means when it says data is
counted one way either up or down.

    • whichever is the greater.

so if you upload 15gb and download 10gb, the upload will be counted.

Excess usage is $3 per Gigabyte, which billed per megabyte ($0.003 per megabyte).

    • So is that alot? Or is there another reason for the negative :s

    • +1

And your point is? Optus charges $150/GB

      • Yeah aaNet has probably the cheapest excess charges available. Apart from the 24 month contract they're not the worst ISP..

  • lots ISP's have 24 month contracts… not that shocking IMHO

  • I wonder which one is more bearable — ADSL broadband with 24 months contract, or mobile phone plans with 24 month contract. Interestingly people have less issue with the later than former…

  • "mobile phone plans with 24 month contract. Interestingly people have less issue with the later", probably as the mobile phone is being effectively paid off over the 2 years, but you don't always get "free" hardware with a ADSL connection, so they don't mind as much.
