  • Is this a good deal? hmm… 12/06 - 26/06

    • +2

Only if you want to wait a few weeks, possible we could see a price reduction come E3.

The same reason keeps coming up as to why I won't be buying a PS4 regardless of these recent good deals…

    THERE'S NO GOOD GAMES YET!

    • +4

Agreed. Lack of launch titles and slow, gradual release of games.

Seen Infamous…good graphics, same old gameplay.

        Seen Watchdogs…bad graphics, bad gameplay.

Bring on Uncharted 4 and The Order.

        • The order is delayed until early 2015 so i wouldn't wait on that.

        • +2

          wolfenstein is nice actually

        • -1

Get it on PC then..it'll be even better.

        • Watch Dogs has decent graphics and good story. Have you actually played the game yet?

        • -3

GTA V obliterates it in every aspect on an older console. How can you say it has decent graphics. The story might be okay, gameplay and graphics are shit especially for next gen. Same as their last Assassin's Creed game.

        • You're a flat out moron if you say Watchdogs has "bad graphics".

        • People who say this and say the gameplay is crap most likely haven't played the game themself and just judging from reviews and youtube gameplay.

I have been playing it for 4 days now and haven't stopped. IMO It has brilliant graphics and the gameplay is awesome.

Some people get entertained too easily I guess.

I played it on pc, it has bad graphics. All of the assets were made for the last gen consoles and scaled up to current gen/pc, the results are terrible.

Sleeping dogs with the Hi res texture pack destroys watch dogs, it isn't just the graphics WD's plays like a crappy assassins creed mod complete with the most bland UI every to smear skid marks on the face of gaming.

          Even GTA4 had a better engine….

PS3 had a crappy launch library too - but at least it had impressive looking exclusives early on like resistance and motor storm. Ps4 library seems to be largely available on PC and Xbone - at the moment it's looking like an underpowered PC that I need to pay extra to play online with. Hopefully things will look up after E3..

        • That's the kicker for me - mandatory PS+ at $70/year for online play.

This is on top of the already inflated price for console games for PC.

For a casual console player who doesn't want/care about free PS+ games being shoved down your throat, this was the last straw.

          Sticking to PC for now.

    • wait 2 weeks, they're announce alot of great games at E3.

      • +1

Which will come out at the end of this year or in 2015. No point getting a console until then…

    • +4

i have a ps4 and my first game will probably be kingdom hearts 3

  • +1

Dick is now in everything. First Dick in David Jones, now this?

    • +11

Was Dick ever in Harvey Norman? HN employees always have something up their ass.

      • No.. that's Jerry Harvey up there…

      • a dick maybe?

        • +1

well if you ask the staff at Hardly Normal, Jerry is a Dick… lol

  • DSE must be desperate for cash…..i wonder how much commission per unit they pay to COD….they are probably losing quite a bit.

  • +1

Without anything to back this up but a hunch, I reckon DSE are pre selling a price drop

  • i think this tactic is to stop getting us to use 12% off giftcard we all bought !

  • Thanks just bought Turtle Beach Ear Force XO FOUR Xbox One Gaming Headset $100 delivered great price.

  • +1

I bought it this morning with Wolfenstein :)

  • I wonder if the console can actually be returned through a DSE store or COTD, or am I forced to deal with Sony's crappy service directly? :( Not to mention there doesn't seem to be any chance of getting extended warranty from Sony itself in Australia, even though you can get it in the US PSN store as a 'protection plan'…

    • Sony customer support is good?

  • What's Monoply like on this console, I like monopoly

  • I'm surprised more people arent jumping on this?

  • The offer is actually not yet expired.

Nobody in there right mind would want to move upto a PS4 yet until there is a deal that will well under 500 and with at least 3x games thrown in for good measure and second controller would also be nice to go with that, I still think that there is plenty of life left in the PS3 and my collection is huge when it comes to games(220+) and hardware, I would of bought sooner if the new console would allow the ability to play PS3 titles "Off The Disc", and having to wait for this new "Play PS3 shit by Streaming" that is supposedly coming is pointless, especially for those who already have the game and have to buy it again!!! But when I bought a few late release PS3 games like Assassins Creed IV Black Flag and a few others, I got a coupon where I can pay for it again and download it but you needed the original PS3 disc to use it on the PS4. And not to be able to play your CD's and rip them to the console's hard drive ready for those games that offer your own music mix, they better fix that crap(IGN wrote that all they needed was to patch it and would probably make you pay for it too)

I heard that JB's is looking at a deal in either July or August that will include 3x games, a new release and two first release titles for around the standard console price but may mean that the older releases would have to be downloaded which would be a huge download for some.

Personally, I would believe a price reduction is on it's way but may not happen until around Christmas time after the release catalogue has grown a bit more.
