a6000. Mount the LA-EA2 and it becomes an a65 (minus IBIS).
After all that you end with with double this price tag though.
I have both - I would recommend the a6000 for af speed, but the stabilisation and lens range of the a65 is a big plus for me. The LA-EA2 adapter is good, but clunky. Both are very different cameras, personally would recommend A77II or A65 if you are on a budget.

Just bought the Olympus epm2 for $200 after cash back now im thinking of buying this after watching the review above can i resist.
Your PM2 has a newer sony sensor in it and is better at high ISO than this older Sony DSLR. Both shoot at 8fps.

Digidirect had it a few weeks back $298 and i bought a cheap sd card to take total just over $300 so i can claim back gst in 3 days time so it will make it about $180 after trs and $100 cash back from olympus.
That is such a good buy. Was thinking of getting it just for the lens,and a back up body. Enjoy your trip!

I've been resisting buying a high end camera as I prefer to just point and shoot but the bargain was too good!
how would you compare this with my brothers d5100?
d5100 is quite old and this would be a nice replacement unless he has a collection of Nikon lenses. This one is better at continuous shooting and focus.
Both this and the D5100 are from the same generation. The D5100 will be superior in low light (at high iso) but this is better for video and for detail/resolution (if you have lenses that can take advantage of the 24mp and keep the iso low). I would advise to wait for a Nikon deal if there is one in the house already but this is a great camera one you work out is limits.
Any recommendations for a reasonable 18-135mm or thereabouts for this guy ? And does this guy do OK video ?

I got my order cancelled again. I am fed up with these clown, first I received free shipping coupon in my email, sweet, placed order for treadmill, they cancelled my order next day and now this camera order just got cancelled as well. These guys are very unprofessional, cancelled my order without an explanation.
