Very nice. Do you happen to have good ADSL2+ router with VoIP and wireless deal signing up with Exetel? I have been recommending friends Exetel's naked ADSL plans when they move into new houses, and don't really care about referral fees — a good router + ATA + WiFi deal would be great.

    • We'll have something soon.. Will let you know once it's up.

    • http://www.jmgtechnology.com.au/product_info.php/manufacture… is what I usually recommend. Currently $68 for the Open 824RLW (4-port) - its basically a Billion 7404 VGP-A. Avoid the 824RLW (3-port) since that is a 7402 rather than a 7404.

Note that with most of the Opens, you want to remove G729 from the codec list altogether if you want to use VoIP to avoid the Billion garbled bug.

  • A little off topic but Exetel is great…arguably the best ISP around for service and value. Never had a dropout and speeds/pings are always superb.

    • Unless you want to watch YouTube after mid-night, which I found myself doing more and more frequently. Can't wait for the off-peak period pushed back to 2am. They are useless to me as I usually use something like 3GB/month during off-peak LOL

      • What plan are you on scotty? Sounds like you need to jump up to another plan.

        I'm on naked ADSL2+ 18GB on and 54GB off for $50.

EDIT: Hang on, 3GB every night??

        • I am on ADSL2+ — 2km from exchange and sync at 11Mbps/900kbps. It could be the exchange that's the problem, as I am living in an area with lots of uni students.

And no, that's 3GB off-peak usage for the entire month, and I usually use only 5-6GB during peak time… :(
