but the screen is small though,
It's very hard to type on screen that small, the only way to type quickly on a device this size is to use Swype or Swiftkey Flow.
Looks good for a emergency phone for when you break/loose your main device.

According to the specs, the older version is running Gingerbread. This one at Woolies is possibly running Jellybean.
Definitely worth the extra $10 for the Y300, dual core processor instead of single core, 4" screen. You'll regret it otherwise.

depends what you want to do with it. The LG has a longer battery life then the Y300 which may appeal to some!
Anyone know if this phone will work on the Optus 3G network after unlocking? I'm trying to find the 3G frequencies of this phone.
I think the specifications are O.K for the price, but the screen is small though, so you have to take that into account: if you care about the small screen size or not.
