    • Hi Rep,

I just went to purchase a 240GB SSD, free shipping has been removed as per original post. As the stands at the moment this drive is more expensive, smaller capacity and now no free shipping. Can you provide free shipping?

      • Hi bradsmrbetty,

        Which did you mean?

        Cheers
        SE

        • I tried to purchase this
          Seagate 600 Ultimate 240GB SSD - $135 Free Shipping

But when I entered the code just before it told me shipping was 9.95.

          Has this been fixed?

        • it is working on my end, can you try again?

          cheers
          SE

        • Thanks REP,

I had to log in and out of my account again to have the shipping applied correctly.

        • Hi bradsmrbetty,

  • Ive got a Acer Aspire V5-573G Laptop, does anyone knows if it takes the Crucial MX100 256GB?
When I went to check on http://www.crucial.com/usa/en and enter my laptop brand/model,
the only SSD that came up was Crucial M500 240GB (CT4935786)
    thanks in advance….

    • They probably just haven't updated it. Check the specs, as long as the 500 and 100 are the same height it will work (99.99% sure they are)

As soon as the MX100 was released, Amazon dropped the price of Samsung 840 Evo 250GB by $4.01. I bought it 2 weeks ago but Amazon refunded me the price difference

Cool now you can almost afford a large coffee in Sydney.

  • Does this drive come with a free copy of "Acronis True Image 2014 OEM Edition PC backup and recovery" like the one from Amazon?

    • +1

Yes, if you click on the MX100 links above, it states:

•Every MX100 includes a download of Acronis True Image 2014 OEM Edition PC backup and recovery

    Hi,

Just tried using the coupon with the 512gb mx100 and get the following error:

"Special Discount 'Weekly Specials' from Shopping Express (AUSTRALIASTOCK-0406) only applies to specific products. Your order will be processed without this discount"

The price shows as $339.00 and has the "freeship-0506 Free Shipping Special" applied

Coupon does not work even with the freeship coupon removed

    • Do you have a problem reading the description?

      • My bad, I did not see the part that was added since this morning.
Will hold out till 8pm then

  • it say we don't have enough stock to fulfill order already?

  • What, sold in 2 minutes "We don't have enough 'CT256MX100SSD1-SE' in stock to fulfill your order…". Not happy :(

  • Item in my cart and it wont checkout! Out of stock already!
Disappointing…….Ah well….hopefully SE can appease my disappointment with some awesome ultrabook discounts ;) (because that is what I really 'need')

  • That kinda sucked. Added it, but free shipping didn't apply. Refreshed, got the shipping to apply, but was sold out by then. Not that I really needed it.

  • aaand it's gone. Darn, missed out again.

  • @8:03pm - Sorry. We don't have enough 'CT256MX100SSD1-SE' in stock to fulfill your order…. ERRRRRRR

  • Sux!!!! 1/2 way thru checkout!!!!

  • How many ssd units up for sale?
I added to cart, wanted to pay via paypal, signed in to paypal but I decided against paying via paypal so
I cancel to return to cart and its GONE! all in less than 1 minute.

Sorry. We don't have enough 'CT256MX100SSD1-SE' in stock to fulfill your order. Please change the qty on order in your shopping cart to a lower number and click update. Then try to checkout again.

    Disappointed!

  • I Blinked, I Missed it..

  • I had to reset my password as I already had an account. So by the time I checked out it was sold out too. I missed out again :(

  • win! 512

@Rep, any more deals like this in the future?

Also, the Billing Address in My Account page does not load the suburb selector after I enter a postcode. You need to fix this on the website: https://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/_myacct/edit_account#bill…

  • Cheap ones here but do not know what the shipping is

Was definately an adrenaline rush went through paypal payment goes back to store to the message wait your order is not complete yet ……ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh oh tick a box to confirm your details and lucky for me it went though .
Well there should be a few more deals this month being EOFY , who knows those samsung evo's might come on sale. im looking for 2 more external hard drives 2-3 TB for my WD media setup , they fill up fast.

My tech buys this year wont be usual its on special its cheap i'l buy it :-) , no this year just some hard drives and no logitech sales as 4 different keyboards , 3 mice and a trackball and joypad 2 sets of headphones and a thing with about 20 keys on " im sure i will use someday :-) "is a bit overkill .

So good luck on your future purchases ……… Oh and bring back that slab of coronas delivered for $9 , im thirsty.

  • unless more pop up over the next week by AU stores.. you could probably get them at a good price from bnh once they come in stock… Postage would be killer on one i think from bnh but should be good after 2+

    http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=Crucial+MX100&N=0&I…

    • Techbuy has the Crucial MX100 but it's quite a bit more than what SE had it going for. Makes the previous deal from SE a real good buy. I say previous because they're now out of stock.

      http://www.techbuy.com.au/search.asp?srchQuery=Crucial+MX100…

Have to see if more shops to get it in soon. At the moment there must be a worldwide short supply. Even a hugh company like Amazon US has run out of stock of the 256GB version.

  • darn looks like i missed the bargain…

    • Yes you're over 4 hours late for the party.

  • Hi All,

Thanks everyone for participating in this "special event" & congrats to those that scored the last batch of SSDs :). Those that missed out, we still have more deals & event to come in the coming weeks, including laptops, ultrabooks, storage, networking, NUCs & more.

For those that are after the 512, Amazon has just dropped the price to US$199.99. US$206 including shipping.

    • Seriously, I was pretty happy with my catch at $259 but oh wells I guess!

  • +1

Just got the 256GB MX100 for 105.73USD (approx 113AUD), including shipping, direct from Amazon. Wont be here for three weeks, but I can wait.

Happy now, I was one of those last night who got it in my shopping cart, but by the time I signed on to Paypal, I missed out.

    • +1

Was that through Amazon prime ($99.99USD) plus shipping to Australia or in some other way? I can wait for three weeks. 113AUD total is a good price IMO.

      • indeed cheaper on amazon, but the issues on warranty, local ones comes with 3 Year Manufacture Warranty. From amazon, if anything happens, sending it back to amazon + waiting time and sending back to australia again, just doesn't sound ideal
Also since i'm using it for work purpose, i'm not sure if the ato accepts receipts from overseas

      • +1

Wasn't Amazon Prime, just direct from Amazon Global. Just got an email today updating status, and it will now arrive a few days earlier. I will be replacing an existing M4 Crucial SSD 128GB that I got direct from Crucial 3 years ago for around $250. I have been very happy with it. Just need more storage on my SSD. I will shift my M4 to one of my microservers.

        • At $113 for a 256GB SSD, I am prepared to take the risk. My existing 3 year old Crucial M4 hasn't missed a beat.

        • Just to clarify , it was USD99.99 plus shipping.

        • What risk ?

        • I think oceang means the following by risk:

          1. Risk the item goes faulty and have to pay the extraordinary cost of return shipping to and from the US. If you had to do multiple returns it would cost more than the SSD I would guess.. anyone able to confirm?

          2. The risk that not all products sold by Amazon are backed by manufacturers warranty, i.e. the great deal of PNY 128GB flash drives had ZERO warranty from PNY. (so your limited to amazon's 30 day warranty policy) This didn't stop me as the price was a fraction of Australia stores.

          3. Time lost in return shipping back and forth internationally could result in weeks of waiting..

That being said I'm still waiting on clarification on ShoppingExpress's terms on returns, I think they charge return shipping on faulty items, meaning the main risk would be time and whether the SSD has international warranty with a repair locally available. Now days with fault rates increasing as manufactures no longer bother properly testing things (i.e. reliability survey's from choice mag) I can understand cost of returns is now a key risk to any online deal.

Anyone use an intermediary like priceusa to deal with Amazon? I heard they cover the cost risk of returns at a small price.

        • Amazon has NEVER charged me for returning a faulty item. Most of the times,
they send you a replacement along with a refund. Trust me!

        • Agree, for the one time I was in that situation.

  • As soon as MSY have these in stock they will be cheaper, relax.

  • +2

Thanks rep. Mine got delivered today.

  • BRING BACK THIS DEAL……………PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
