Look more carefully - it is a slightly different and more recent model…

We live in exciting times. I hope that no OzBargainers faint.

      • Hey, this has got an extra '1' in it!
        Always had trouble reading binary…

what is going on with old phones? is it really people interesting on them or just for fun & chat?

      1. To use it as a second phone. If travel oversea (Asia, South America..), definitely use as main phone.

      2. Bring back memories for some. Maybe they couldn't afford one in the younger years or parents didn't allow (with lots of tears of course), and now being able to get one fills that gap.

      3. Nokia is out of business. Microsoft is likely to erase that name from the market.

Really - pay for a refurbed old phone to use overseas when you can pick up a new from Coles/Woolies on special for a few dollars more and have an internet enabled phone - albeit fairly simple internet.

Weird!! But hey 70 people voted for a free book that just had the name warren buffett attached to it written by that well known popular author A.Y. (yes A.Y.)

But if some are really keen I still have one - $5 plus postage

        • USD $9.29 postage?

      • Nokia is NOT out of business, its simply owned by Microsoft now that's all. Where you get that impression Microsoft will erase Nokia brand from the market?

        • I have read multiple reports - may be set in stone now - that Microsoft are indeed planning to re-brand Windows phones currently under the Nokia Lumia name, simply as 'Microsoft Mobile'. It'll be a pity if they do, but it looks likely to happen. Maybe they'll be do some sort of co-branding.

Either way - Apple/iOS, Google/Android, Microsoft/Windows. Maybe they think the change in branding will help the public understand more clearly as they watch the competition proceed.

        • hmm that seems to be the case, I just read it here

    All these nokia phones pfft.
The real legend of a phone from yesteryear was this weapon

  • My mother in law has an old Nokia that looks similar to this model.
Last time they house sat for us she forgot her charger so they went out and bought one.
    Cost them $30.

    • Hahaha lame. I just bought a brand new unlocked Samsung mobile phone from Dick Smith yesterday for $29.98. Sad when the phone charger costs as much as a brand new phone.

  • My favourite Nokia 7110

  • Gee yesterday was the Nokia 1100 now it's the 1110

Any deals on the Nokia 8810?

Took me forever to save up for that phone when I was younger.

    • For me it was the 8855.. these phone are so sexy, if onlt they were 3G enabled I would happily throw my smartphone down the drain

    • No deal because of cheaper via Altomics link. It's even the same company making shonky as well.
No idea why people think these old second hand phones are a deal.
