  • Mount?

Edit: can I take the lens for $16 delivered? :P

    • Thanks for the subsequent edit. Nice post

      • No worries, it was a little unclear initially.

  • Nikon, Pentax and Canon mount $115 australia wide delivery :)

  • No IS?

    • No IS at all.

      • Any deal on Sigma 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS HSM Macro?

      • A word of warning for buying non-IS lenses, particularly in the >200mm range.
It is very difficult to get sharp images at this zoom range, unless you're shooting on a tripod or solid support of some sort, even at the quicker shutter speeds.
In really bright sunlight you might be able to get away with it on high ISO and at over 1/1000 or so, but it's so limiting.

        • Deleted as already mentioned

That's why get pentax etc with IS in body you can buy cheaper lens and still get good quality pictures

      • Exactly the reason why I ended up returning the Canon 600D I bought and kept the Sony α65, because the image stabiliser is built into the body of the latter, and in fact I have an old A-Mount version of this Sigma zoom lens from the days when I had a Minolta 35mm SLR, which surprisingly works just fine on the Sony after nearly sitting idle for almost 20 years!

  • Good optics but you will struggle taking in focus photos at 300mm without a tripod.

    • If your camera has a good ISO rating you can still get away with taking hand held shots, but using a tripod would be better.

Hey OP, have you got Sony E mount for this lens?

    • +1

Hi, unfortunately no Sony E mount is available for this lens. We have the Sony 55-210mm on special for $195

  • -2

good price, pretty worthless lens though (like all 70-300 f4/5.6)

    • +1

unless you have in-body stabilisation :)

  • Reviews from PentaxForums point out a few issues, namely the slow AF and CA. The lens shoots best at 200mm f8.

Cheap alternative for a zoom lens, but you need plenty of light to get good shots.

      But it's only $99 remember.

Budget lens for a great price. Sure it's not perfect but it is only $100. If you want better you will pay a lot more.

  • Hey Rep,
Any deal on Zeiss Otus 1.4/55?

  • I smashed my 18-55 Canon kit lens (from a 600d) in an unfortunate incident.

Any cheap deals on a similar replacement? Obviously the kit lens is kind of the bottom of the barrel, so I am looking to use this as an opportunity to upgrade..

  • Hey Rep,
Do you have any deal on the Sigma 50mm 1.4?

  • What is the magnification ratio for this lens?

    • Hi, it is a 70-300mm zoom lens

      • Is it a 1:1 magnification ratio for the macro?

  • Is this any good for Nikon 5100D?

    • Hi, yes it will work great on a D5100

  • I use this on my Pentax K20, excellent value for the price, I use it for macro and tele

Focus is not very fast but I am quite happy with it.

  • Just a quick question about the product itself! Would I be able to mount this on my Pentax Q? Also, in your opinion how does this compare to the pentax Q standard zoom 02.

    • I do not think so. The one they have is for Pentax K mount not Q (or whatever it is called) mount.

    • Unfortunately it cannot mount to the Pentax Q
