  • Seems so good to be true , sadly already used the code :x

    • +11

Trying to resist buying it until the code works, so I dont have to rely on them to refund my money. I just feel like Dick Smith love stuffing people around!

      • It's the cheapest price for the console ( excluding few bundles), hopefully the code will be fixed soon for ya ozbargainers!

  • +8

I'll wait until they fix the code

    • +1

Same. If it doesn't get 'fixed' I'm not buying…

    • Ive been checking for the last 2 hours haha, they said it should be fixed shortly 2 hours ago

  • So console only?

    • one of the pics shows a controller so I guess it's the base pack - console and one controller

  • +6

Would you wait for tomorrow and get the additional 15% off, or you don't think it stacks?

    • Yeah I was thinking about that too since the CDSH20 code expires tomorrow

    • so together 32% off? sounds good

      • +3

Pretty sure only one coupon works for ebay.

  • +2

Is this a different deal to the one that expired on the 19th June? Seems misleading and too risky to buy now.

    http://pages2.ebay.com.au/Sunday

    • great price even cheaper than gumtree used ps4

  • Man this is a great price.. Pity I already paid $100 more for it…

    • Yeah, you could've probably gotten another 2 games with that $100.

  • +9

    The code has expired.

    http://pages2.ebay.com.au/Sunday

I would not go by any verbal over the phone comments. Very risky. Likely to disappoint.

    • +3

so typical DSE crap…. they got the dates wrong on all the item descriptions…

  • Does anyone know if it's just the console and no controller? or controller included as well

  • +6

Seems way too good to be true, and as others have stated, this is using the code that's already expired… happy to keep trying, but I wouldn't hold up hope for this.

    • +2

      +1 dse hype up

    • +4

Have to agree and as much as they say they'll refund the difference later, that's not how a bargain works. Have to neg for now.

  • This redemption code has expired. No mention on ebay that this promotion is running again.

    • There is still a 20% of promotion advertised

      http://stores.ebay.com.au/Dick-Smith-Online/Consoles-/_i.htm…

See in the description for the items…

"Enter code CDSH20 at checkout for 20% off ends 22/6/14"

I tried the code at checkout though and it didn't work.

It's there on the descriptions for other item items live TV's but didn't work for those either.

      • And here it says 20% off at the Dick Smith Store on eBay - ENDED

  • +2

How is an expired code a bargain?

  • So does this mean that the PS4 will be 15% off tomorrow? http://pages2.ebay.com.au/Sunday

  • Take a screenshot and system time stamp etc. If they dont go thru with discount just do dispute with PayPal.

  • +3

    Don't do it

    • +13

don't tell me what to do

  • +5

    Poor effort Dick Smith.
Getting sick of their constant sales and then stuffing us around

    • I don't think this is DSE's fault entirely. Seems more like user error and customer service phone operator not being in the know. This "deal" shouldn't have been posted. I'm sure the discount will not come through and it will be a he said/ she said. It is clearly expired.

      • +3

I'd agree if they didn't have this in their subtitle - Enter code CDSH20 at checkout for 20% off ends 22/6/14

        • Sorry. Didn't see this on my phone. Yes, they screwed up. However eBay deals page is clear. It has ended.
They would have to revise every listing quickly to change the subtitle…

        • +4

I agree that it is a stuff up, but pretty indefensible from DSE here - looking at the revisions - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemRevisionDeta… - they added that subtitle last night, a day after the coupon had supposedly expired.

        • Glad to see they had time to update the sales page but not any emails asking where my TV from the last deal is…

  • +4

If its too good to be true. it is…
Bought a an XBOX ONE bundled which was instock at the time of ordering.. claimed they had dispatched.. took over 6 separate phones call to work out they didn't have stock and then another two weeks to get my money back.. which only happened after I started chargeback through my bank… wasted about 5 hours of time and 10 separate 30min to 1 hour phone calls to dick smith and to my bank.. No to mention they have been selling the same bundle on COD fro DSE at a cheaper price as well after I had purchased.

If it didn't learn my lesson.. I ordered an Xbox one controller on special EBAY - DSE(after buying the console from JBHIFI).. they sent me a Xbox 360 controller instead.. had to go instore to work out they was no stock at the dispatch centre and literally no stock at any stores… got my money back quickly though…

Lesson. learnt.. don't bother with DSE online, unless you can pick up in store… if its too good to be true. it probably is.. and you will waste hours of your time trying to get your money back..

  • so the deal is done and dusted ? i already went thro with the catch of the day deal

    • It was never a deal in the first place

  • Came to see what fuss was about, was it a price error or sold out? I never get the chance for all these DSE deals.

    • +3

They're not worth it. Even though the consoles are in stock at every retailer in the country, for some reason DSE have been taking up to 8 weeks to deliver them.

I used to use their online store for games and they were great, only taking 2-3 days. My mate waited nearly 2 months and requiring a heap of follow up phone calls for his Xbox One console recently.

      Not worth it at all.

  • Looks like they removed the code from their Ebay listings :(

    • Use CBIGSUNDAY for 15% off. Comes to $435.20.

  • Well I actually got an email from dse saying they will refund the difference to me. So I went ahead and bought two 4tb hdd at 159 each. Once the 20% is refunded they'll come down to 127 each.

  • Hi guys, anyone got a screenshot of this deal?

    • +1
      • thank you

        • After a lot of stuffing around on the phone(45 mins), they they will STILL honour the price but you must pay full price initially then ring and ask for a refund. You can do it on their website at the $479 so you are only $70 out of pocket initially. I really hate dick. Just going to wait until I can get it for under $400 and hopefully it is through another retailer
