I just went to the main service counter and they arranged it all. They wanted to refund my CC.

        • Thanks.

        • just PM'ed you

        • Yep, the kind lady at Good Guys Mt Gravatt (Qld) yesterday handed me a receipt for the full amount paid before the Paypal/Ebay 20% off and a $5 note for coming into the store and collecting the item. (Even though I effectively paid $4 delivery fee with the 20% off - Happy EOFY Everyone!

        • As expected, the Bundall store have no idea how to handle this. "All done from head office. We just pack it up. Won't be able to refund."

        • Their store will receive the delivery payment - ask for a store credit instead ?

I got a $30 store credit at Robina branch.

    • Oh awesome so you can get the delivery refunded :)

  • its saying that ive used the coupon maximum amount of times, when ive only used it 4 times :S

    • Account got hacked?

      • Nice hacker if they are trying to save money for him :P

  • Pity TGG don't offer pickup. Small items postage offsets the discount.

    • +9

Pity you haven't bothered to read everyone's comments which explain you can get the postage refunded.

      • Just saw that. How does it work, the delivery is no to the invoice.

        • When you get the confirmation email from TGG it will state the store allocated for processing- it seems to be the one closest to you with stock.

Give them a call and see if they will allow a store pickup, if so they will refund the postage cost.

Not all stores do this, but from the comments it seems more likely than not.

        • +1

LOL my order allocated to Mildura…562km away. Think I'll just let them deliver it for $5.

        • The $5 fee for the recorder was fine, not looking to refund it. Wanted a few $40-$50 items which carry $9.95 each postage.

      • As expected, the Bundall store have no idea how to handle this. "All done from head office. We just pack it up. Won't be able to refund."

  • Any good deals on desktops?
Seems to be a whole lot of fluff at 20% off.

  • What are the chances of another crazy deal next sunday?

I got burned last week on the 15% off deal. Much better deal this week from Dell.

    • None I would say, this is the EOFY sale… next sunday is the new financial year, unless they start a new trend of NOFY sale..

      • That would be BOFY.

  • Bought samsung S5 from kogan.
Will be $550.65 after 20% direct from ebay and 2% cashrewards (later hopefully).

Know it will be delivered in 3 weeks but can't resist the price as this sale brought it within my budget. :)

        Edit: that's weird though, by my maths ($185 + $5 ) x 0.8 = $152. Was there nothing else in your order?

      • Not sure how you got it for $142.50, it should be $152.14 after the 20% discount.

        • I'm not sure how you got $152.14?

    bought a samsung 7.5 kg washing machine for $479 shipped - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/7-5kg-Front-Load-Samsung-Washing-…

    • Is this good one?

    • I was looking at that too and noticed this model number WW75H5290 which is only available at Appliance Direct. Others retailers have WW75H5290EW which I don't know what is the difference.

Also do you know if this WW75H5290 has hot water inlet?

I'm $1100 poorer after this sale and I still to buy need an SSD! thanks ozb!

Just got myself a new Rinnai Dynamo 15 heater for $675.20 delivered. Bargain.

  • Any good Washing machine deal?

  • Dyson DC59 at GG is cheap. $406 approx delivered. Cheapest I've found is to get Masters beat other prices at $450. Very happy.

  • Is this a good buy for someone who is still running Xp?
    Windows 8.1 (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Microsoft-Windows-8-1-Single-Lice…)

    • Does your system have the minimum requirements for windows 8?

      • It may, but prolly too slow. Was planning on buying a new PC in the near future, so i was thinking of getting it while its on sale.
I hav seen this forum post (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/121528), but not sure if it applies to a new PC…

    • -4

      Keep XP. It's better.

Unless you want to use a touchscreen, then by all means get Win8.

      • You're not serious I hope. Look, if you don't like get 7, but ffs don't tell people to keep XP. It's no longer supported, so security vulnerabilities will no longer be patched.

  • Now I've used up my 4 coupon codes already, what should I buy with my last one?

  • After a lot of debate, we ended up pulling the trigger on an LG 42LB6500 smart TV. $701.69 poorer! Oh well, looks like I'll be eating Maggi noodles for the next two weeks.

    • +2

I just got the poor man's dumb TV version LG 42LB5610 for $531.29. I'll be able to afford mi goreng noodles :p

    • I got a 42LB6500 too, so I'm also joining the noodle bandwagon :P

Had a look in the shop before buying it, the panel looks really good.

  • Only 24 hours to go

  • +3

Just realized there is still another day!

    • I thought it was only for Sunday as it's eBay Big Sunday deal? In any case things sell out, like the Dyson DC59 Animal Stick Vacuum I wanted. Waited too long and it had sold out, had to settle for the non-animal version of the DC59 instead. Guess I'll just try and pick up the mini motorised tool up seperately elsewhere.

      • Get the mini tangle free attachment, I tried that today and it worked really well. I was contemplating doing dc59 with the tangle free (around $75 after discount) or a purple dc59 animal. Decision has been made that bit easier

        • So you reckon that is better than the motorised one? Have already placed an order and was going to ring store to arrange pick-up but they assigned it to one that's a bit far away, not sure if I can change that to go to a closer store.

        • It was better for me. My girlfriend has long hair and we have a couple of dogs. Even just using the mini motorised in the shop environment the head got some hair around it. They were both very good

        • +1

OK thanks for the feedback. Ordered the tangle-free tool :-)

      • +5

I want a Dyson stick vac so bad but they cost so damn much! Might have to settle for a broom.

        • +1

The 35 and 44 were pretty underwhelming to be honest. The 59 was amazing though. Almost made me want to do the vacuuming

        • So tempted… You're not making this any easier on me.

        • +1

I talked myself into buying a 59, then my girlfriend used it and hated the power trigger and the positioning of the handle as she has very small hands. The only thing stopping me buying it is the fact it may mean I end up doing the majority of the vacuuming lol… And a little bit about the price

        • Hey Johno, I just got told by Dyson Customer Care that the tangle-free turbine tool won't work on the DC59. Not enough power from the cordless machines they said, they need the motorised tools. Did you try one on the DC59?

      • Dc59 animal back in stock

        • Now that's just annoying!

    • +1

Oh sh#$ there is too? Could have wasted my Monday night instead of a weekend lol!!

      Cuss!

  • Whoohoo, JVC 55" Full HD Smart 3D LED TV LT-55N935, $799 delivered!! What a Bargain from $1273 down to $999 with coupon is $799!

    • we are thinking of buying this too but have you seen it in person? how's the picture quality? I can't find any reviews online.

      • Tried searching too. But took a stab in the dark and went for it. We wait and see I guess.

        • mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/595753-JVC-LT-55N935-Android-4-2-Quad-core

was going to buy it until I read this page. There are always bad reviews on everything, so hopefully someone who purchased one on here can provide some good feedback

        • +1

is it the same tv? hmmm. this deal is still on tomorrow. might pop in to dick smith to check it out.

        • Please report back with what you find, won't get a chance to go in store myself.

        • Went into my local dick smith and saw this tv in person. Looks ok to me. Not too shabby at all.
Pictures looks clear for 1080p and doesn't feel flimsy eventhough it's made in china. And guess what, the price tag states $1497!!! Would u believe? Got it for $799 yo!

  • Bought a Nexus 7 16GB from Dick Smith for $199, $195 after the 2% cashback (if workable). Great price for a FHD tablet, better than the past Shopping Express deal. And there seem to be plenty in stock (more than 10 available when I bought it).

    • I got the ipad mini gen 1 16GB for $200 great price as well

  • What's the best modem/router deal out there. Currently running a billion 7800N but It's been giving me trouble as wireless stopped working and had to open it up and remove some glue as suggested in a thread on wirlpool.( had to do this on two machines.

    Thanks

Damn it, why does this thing have to go on for another day. Everyone buying vacuum cleaners has got me wondering what im missing out on here

    • +1

      Dont worry they all suck….

      • I'd give you 10 votes but those damn rules cheepwun doesn't like keep interfering with my personal freedom.

  • Bought a Brother DCP-1510 laser AIO for $89 at DSE ($72 after cash-back). Excellente.

    • Is the cash back through Brother?

      • No not this model but still pretty good price for a laser

  • Is $567.25 a good price (after discount) for the Dyson DC54 Animal barrel vacuum cleaner -http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/121320283108?nav=SEARCH. I'm used to the barrel style vacs and think those handheld and uprights would be a bit awkward.

  • If I buy Dell laptop but don't like it - what is their refund policy?

I am based in Sydney so can I take it to their local centre for full refund?

  • Does anyone know who The Good Guys use to deliver the orders?

The price for shipping for the item I want isn't expensive for shipping ($5), it's more that we have problems with certain couriers, who won't deliver to our property, and end up delivering to the "local" PO. Problem is, the local PO is not the closest, and a nightmare to deal with, so we have a PO box at a closer PO (but TGG don't accept PO Boxes).

    • +1

Mine was labelled up to come Startrack, but I picked it up instead.

Awesome TGG service, so fast and easy to deal with.

They make the guys at Harvey's look like complete greasy-haired noobs.

And they make Officeworks look like Romper Room on acid.
