        • thanks - but all those sellers have feedback saying fake items?

        • every customer says "FAKE"?!!? well, there is a risk of having a fake one. but I did a rough check and come up with a question: how many neg. feedbacks and how many posit. feedbacks they got? only a few negs compared to huge no. of +tives.

some negative feedbacks but not all necessarily saying fake, mostly some communication prob.,problem with not having AU stock, some not working but not necessarily fake as original ones might not work sometimes, arriving late etc.

          6months stat:
          negs: 60 & 112, and +tives: 7,629 & 9,115.

its good to be skeptical. Now its up to you. I bought one for myself. Let's see how it goes. :)

I am not saying listed deals are bad but could have been better as most of them are same/more expensive than others or slightly cheaper that we can hardly call a deal.

However, they do have some real epic deal mentioned at the top of the page. they r like Bang! Bang! and Bang!

  • +1

Dont like my chances of getting anything i want with such small numbers on offer…:/

  • +3

There are better deals around for pretty much everything I look up… dont get caught in hype, do research.. these deals arent great at all by ozbargain standards.

    • +1

The Gigabyte R9 290 for $299, the 750GB Samsung Evo 840 for $299 and the 3TB WD HDD for $79 are better than anything available to Australian's right now, but I agree the rest are mediocre.

      • It looks like you have my shopping list there…

  • nothing tempting for me @ tonights 8pm deal….

  • +2

That Toshiba Canvio may not sell tonight… not when you can get it from DSE on the EBay sale for $99 including shipping today…

  • 7AM for the 750GB SSD yet in Perth time that means…does some calculations REALLY EARLY!

    • Or really late if you're dedicated to finding bargains!

  • So is the $300 asus laptop "the" deal to get?

    • You can get it right now from the Good Guys on eBay if you want.
      Its a dual core Celeron…

      • So it's not really a good deal on SExpress?

        • Wouldn't be good for battery life with that CPU unlike the Intel i5 Haswells

        • It's pretty much the same price if you use this coupon "CBIGTREAT" from the Good Guys on eBay.

      • It's a Pentium

  • Hi guys, I am currently using an aging Dell Core2duo laptop for downloading torrents and media etc. Would a Nuc i3 be suitable to replace the laptop or can I even use a less beefy one like the N2820 which is $165?

    • Just downloading or also for watching media as well? The n2820 would should be able to handle both easily (not so sure about 10bit 1080p or higher playback on the device though).

  • Well theses deals seem good too..

    Samsung Galaxy Tab3 8" 16GB WiFi 4G
    Samsung EVO 250GB
    Kingston 64GB Class 10 MicroSDXC
    Samsung Pro 32GB MicroSD
    Kingston 16GB USB 3.0
Kingston HyperX Fury Gaming 8GB DDR3 << 1 unit only. so not a pair? if so, not good deal…

doesnt appear to be cheaper from any other aus stores…?

  • Have the i3 NUCs sold out or what?
I've been try for the last 15mins to get it to add to cart at the correct price. What am I doing wrong?

    • +1

      it starts tomorrow 9pm

      • <face palm>
        I just realised - thanks :)

  • Skipped the Epic sale and grabbed a SanDisk Ultra SD 32GB SDHC card for $23.50 with free shipping. Not bad at all. Thanks Shopping Express! ;)

    • I managed to score the 32GB sdhc for 16.95 - was pretty easy.

  • Is the ASUS IPS 23" monitor any good? Online reviews shows decent reviews for the price for an eIPS. But no mention earlier on this thread.
Edit: No Free shipping on this :(

    • I took a risk and bought one. I'll let you know in about 6-8 weeks.

      • Thanks :) Passed this time as my existing one is working fine and there was no free shipping. So wi ll wait for your review. Price is good though. Too much of impulse buying.

  • Thanks got a 32gb microsd card for the mivue dash cam I got at DSE today

  • grabbed two microsd pro cards- thanks OP

    • how's that possible? isn't it limited to 1 item per customer?

  • Do you have to create an account even if you are paying with Paypal ?

    • +1

      Yep. Very odd

  • Can I ask a question: I clicked the links which are already past the deal hour, but was still able to checkout. Does it mean they will take my money and refund me later as it may/definitely run out hours ago.

    • I think the deal states the starting time till it is sold out.

  • +1

So I'd expect shipping on the 750GB SSD to be $39… Was trying to order at 8pm, but then checked back here for the update.

    • Was already said on here, shipping is free for that SSD.

      • Okay great- didn't think so because some items say "Free Shipping" on The Promo page, whilst others don't. Looks like I'm getting up at 7am!

  • can i buy one and my room mate buy another? cuz we want the same thing

  • Got the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8" 16gb 4g Wifi for $250, dangerous question but, did I do alright? Good deal or no?

    • +1

Seems like a good deal to me. I would've jumped on that (or the Nexus 7) if I hadn't bought an iPad from the eBay deal last week.

  • Is the Asus 27" a good deal?

  • good deal

  • +1

    and its GONE!!

    • Yeah WTH

    • +2

lol yeah i had it in my cart.. went through paypal.. on the last click….

Sorry. We don't have enough 'MZ-7TE750BW' in stock to fulfill your order. Please change the qty on order in your shopping cart to a lower number and click update. Then try to checkout again.

  • Rep. Noticed the shipping for the evo 750 was $9.15, how do I get the shipping refunded please?

    • It doesn't say free shipping in it's little sale ad. Then again, the rep said most SSDs have free shipping during these promos so I dunno…

  • +1

What!!! Samsung 840 EVO Series 750GB Solid State Drvies MZ-7TE750BW Sold outin under 30seconds

    • No, under 20 sec…

      • Not sure it was that fast, I got mine and the receipt says 7:01:23 AEST

  • +3

750ssd, added to cart, went to paypal, 1 min and it's gone!

    should've selected direct deposit :(

    • +1

same here, under 30 seconds and they were gone, I was happy to pay shipping too!

  • +1

haha yeh right, I auto fill login for paypal, and still sold out before last stage….

  • +4

WTH! I was at the paypal section for the 750G SSD, clicked pay then it reverted back to the cart saying they dont have enough!

    • yeah ditto…too slow :(

      • I even had the google time on another page and clicked as soon as it ticked over to 0700! So sad… Im sure my wallet will like this though.
Already brought 6 x Eftpos GC and the $200 iPad Mini.
But I actually wanted this item though out of all those other buys… Argh!

    • Too little stock, too many people. At least 500 people would have pounced on that deal, but only the quickest ones would have quick it up (throuph Paypal by 7:00:15).

    • 20 in stock VS 2000+ buyers

      • It says 50. Still too little though.

        • Jump to the second page of this post, the rep said 20 only.

        • Look at the actual deal page, it say 50.

  • yeah same here. Gone in less than 30 seconds, Just clicked on paypal then poof gone….

  • +6

I have NBN for nothing, lol

  • same here 10 seconds and gone

  • Impossible. Who got the EVO 750GB? Or is there any stock to start with?

    • -2

Yeah what a load of s**t

    • I got an EVO 750GB no drama…I'm usually the guy who can't get a thing from COTD sales(Gave up on those a long time ago). I used PayPal for what's it's worth and have always had success with Shopping Express Epic deals.

  • +2

Yep at 7am to the second got it in my cart went through the paypal system and missed it less than 30 seconds what a damn joke paypal cost me the HDD FML

    • I already had in my cart and used the update button when the clock hit 7.

      • Did you get it?

  • same here, did anyone manage to grab the 750GB SSD?

  • same. had it in my cart ready to go at 7, went to paypal for payment and returned to the website and sold out by then

    • ditto

  • +3

oh boo freaking hoo to the people crying over shipping when they were actually lucky enough to get one!

    • +2

Rep did say all SSD sales are free shipping so they probably can get the postage fee back.

  • +4

i dont think there was any stock to start with…SCAM???

    • 20 only.

      • 50….but who knows

      • it says on page they have 50

    • There was definitely stock, I was extremely lucky to get one.

Try not to feel too bad, there was always going to be a huge amount of competition on this one and most people were going to end up disappointed.

      • +1

        Good on you mate!!

You should also try your luck on Saturday's Lotto….I have given up…

        • +1

          And + the deal ;)

      • Did u pay via direct deposit or paypal ?

        • Paypal. I was doing things as quick as possible. After Paypal, I am not sure if the order was secured as MSE needed all my details, thankfully Chrome's auto-fill filled out all the boxes instantly.

So it was possible with Paypal.

  • +1

Good early start to the morning. I guess its time to go to work then

    • +4

      I am in Perth….5 am ….i need a coffee…

      • +1

Ouch! Maybe a strong double shot.

  • see you all at 8pm!

    • $30 less for 250GB less than the 750GB :(

  • I was one of lucky few that managed to get one. Not sure if it made a difference in getting in quick, but i went thru direct deposit.

  • I am interested in the DGS-1008A dlink switch for $15, but the $10 shipping tells me I can wait. They usually sell it for $25.

    • So 25 plus shipping is the usual price - so 10 dollar discount?

      • yeah, fair call.

  • +1

I grabbed a printer at 6 and the SSD at 7. Have three other items I want. Got my mouse clicking finger limber…..

  • +4
