  • Any deals on Sandisk Extreme 32GB MicroSDHC MicroSDXC UHS-I Card SDSDQXL-032G rep?

  • How much for delivery?

Shipping costs kill a lot of these deals.

  • any deals for 2.5 portable external hard disk?

  • Anyone know if the 3tb is worth it?

    • +1

standard price should be around 130. u do the math

      • Damn that's good then, was wondering why no ones talking about it if it's such a crazy deal

  • +4

Shopping Express is good. I bought a Sandisk Ultra Plus 256Gb SSD from them last year in a sale, quick delivery. However I feel this sale is going to end with a lot of anger or tears, like that Samsung EVO 750Gb SSD at only $299, gonna sold out in less than a minute. I would suggest SE to post the number of stock available for sale on each item page, so when those who order the EVO 750GB one minute after the sale has been posted and find out it is sold out, at least they know there are only 20 units available in the first place.

    • i totally agree with you edfoo. SE might be on the back foot if they don't prepare for the rush. i feel that if this sale works out well for SE, they'd gain more customers with good reviews. however, if it goes downhill, it'll be another bad taste in peoples mouth…

    • +3

All QTY will be shown on the full schedule - it was during last year sale that you mentioned & and it will on this sale too.

      Cheers
      SE

    • It already states, “50 available, 1 unit per customer” for the SSD in question.

  • I'm interested in the modem/router but the review is terrible: http://www.productreview.com.au/p/d-link-dsl-2875al.html
1 star only and nothing but bad. Anyone has experience with this product? Range is good as advertised? Thanks.

    • avoid D-link if you can, not worth the trouble, IMO

  • 1 Intel Nuc please

  • +1

Bought the i3 nuc when the last sale was on, only down to $319! It was at the bottom of the voting thing so I thought no chance it would go on sale!!
    Should have waited!

Now I'm just hanging out for a n54l and/or nas hdd sale.

  • Its a good deal if includes FREE shipping?

  • Hi rep, I'm looking for some cheap (Ozbargain cheap) Atheros-based routers to act as repeaters in a WDS. Refurbs and stuff are fine. Some of your competitors i.e Mwave and Harvey Norman were selling routers like the DIR-615 for $10 or less. Any plans to have something like that in this sale?

  • This site is becoming a lot better lately. They just need to fix up their look a bit, way too much going on.

  • +1

That 3 TB WD for $ 79 is a steal!!
considering I've just bought one for $ 138 at JB's "catalog special" -.-"

  • -2

Will the R9 290 be on sale??

    • +2

Did u read the description or click the link?

  • It would be great if the ad and the OP could note how many units are available. As people have mentioned, having 20 for a deal without disclosing it can be a bit misleading.

    • +1

The OP isn't affiliated. Can you note how many? If not, neither can he…

  • Motherscratcher! I just bought a 3TB WD off them for ~$120 this past week and they go and knock another $40 off. Yeah, cheers guys - grumpf. >:(

  • +8

Looks like this has more upvotes than items available now.

  • Good deal.

    • Edit: you ninja edited your comment :p

  • Hey Rep.

Have you any plans to sell chromeboxes? The NUC's price is great but adding OS, memory and HD kills it. Don't really need a full OS (windows/linux) as usage is limited to web browsing only..

    • I reviewed the Chromebook (not chromebox) here just be aware it's really only good for web browsing unless you want to "hack" it.

I did a follow up review down the bottom of the page

      • I have a chromebook myself and quite happy with it… The chromebox is for my mom.

  • Does the Nuc come with OS? There is an * next to Win8 in the specifications.

    • +1

I believe there are bundles and "not" bundles.

I think this is a "not" bundle, so you'll need to add RAM and a HDD / SSD and an OS to your purchase price.

      • And WiFi module.
So you must also purchase Hard Drive, Operating System RAM, Wifi Module and NUC.
        Then get it working…

        • +1

          Hmm, a rough estimate: NUC $250 + 4Gb RAM $50 + HDD $100 + OS $100 + Wifi module $50? + monitor $150 = $700. Not so cheap anymore?

        • Actually in real life it would cost more like $800 from scratch. 256GB SSD, Mini HDMI to regular converter, average monitor.
Nothing cheap about NUCs its more of the gadget factor. The 2820 IS OK, price wise (can be had for ~$149 sometimes)and comes in cheaper overall as the WiFi is included for some reason, so that's another $50 saved, but you need to wait for the updated 2830 model. The current 2820 has an unending string of USB compatibility and BIOS issues.

        • +1

I'm underwhelmed by the 2820 NUC. It's been rock-solid - no BIOS or USB 3.0 issues. But it's a bit underpowered. Mine has 4GB RAM and a Sandisk Extreme II SSD and yet it isn't very snappy. This is with Windows 8.1.

The thing is, and I might not have bought one had I known this before, it's essentially a tablet CPU re-purposed for a PC. It's the next generation Atom so it's in a completely different league (in a bad way) to the Core i and even Pentium chips.

Also, you might think you're getting particularly good value because it comes with a preinstalled WiFi card, unlike the more expensive models. But it might not be the one you expect. It's an Intel 7260, but if you care to look closer, Intel actually has a bunch of WiFi cards called 7260, and the one in the Celeron NUC is 2.4 GHz only. AKA friggin slow.

Oh and the drivers are borked so hardware-accelerated video has messed-up contrast and brightness unless you do some research to find the workarounds.

Basically all the above is sorted if you go one of the Core i NUCs. I hope I get one of the 50 i3s on Monday!

        • wait, why do we need a NUC again?

What do people recommend for an external hard drive for the wii u?

  • +10

I might just spend my Sunday watching Gone in 60 Seconds, Fast & Furious and The Hunger Games on my TV rather than watching them on the internet :P

    • +1

I see what you did there

Is the 3tb drive mac compatible. Wanna get one for my sis! (Plz don't diss my sis for using a mac) I build my on pc btw.

    • +3

Any drive s mac compatible as long as you format it accordingly.

  • Hi Rep, if I buy nuc i3 in single order and then add another order for memory, ssd and wifi/bt, and ship together, is it possible? also do i need to pay double shipping cost?

I scared if I buy nuc and then add memory, ssd and wifi probably by the time I check out out of stock already.

any special for the 120gb or 250gb ssd and wifi/bt?

    • Hi surat,

Each order will be sent separately and shipping is charged per order. All orders are dispatched individually and by batches - we will not able to combine orders as it will cost us more to do it.

more SSDs are coming up - the promotion page will be updated soon.

      Cheers
      SE

    • How about adding other items in your cart before the sales hour and then add the sales item and checkout in one order?

      • that is fine :)

  • Anyone know if the 3tb hard drive can be stripped from the external enclosure?

    • +3

      Yes but will explode.

    • Yes but your 3yr warranty will drop to 1yr

    • Of course it can, but I think you are counting your chickens before they hatch.

    • this is WD so it's unlikely.

    • -1

Yes you can strip it. But beware, any data that you have on the drive will be lost when you remove it from the enclosure. So my advise would be to either strip it once you buy it, or don't strip it at all.

  • so they are meant to post the times today on when each item will be available?

  • The Asus notebook seems good but it's 2nd gen intel? Is this http://www.dicksmith.com.au/laptops-notebooks/toshiba-satell…. For $480 after ebay 20% sunday voucher a better deal. Which brand is the more reliable? Thanks

  • I've been told that to extend the wireless range in my home that I should 'install a new wireless access point'. Does this involve getting a new router such as the D-Link Dual Band Router? (Telecommunications n00b)

  • This deal is going to leave a bitter taste in my mouth. I really need 750G SSD but I don't think I'll be the lucky one to get it :)

    • yep dont like your chances. 12000 clicks so far and i'm sure alot of those are for the SSD.

  • 10 r290s :O, for shizzle, hardly a dizzle

    • Thanks for spotting the typos - will be updated to 20

      • Just to be clear.
During this sale, each customer buy only one unit, but they can theoretically do that with each product? So ONE, RAM,ONE hard drive etc?

  • Rep, how much will the Kingston 64GB Class 10 MicroSDXC be going for? Are we talking like $25? It's on eBay for $35. Need to decide between this and your Samsung pro. TBA prices doesn't help. Thanks!!

  • @Rep - I'm interested in 2 items from the list. Assuming all items on sales are brand new in a SEALED box?

  • Hi rep. If an item is already in our cart when the price updates, will the new price automatically be reflected during checkout? Apologies if this has already been answered.

  • What's someone going to do with 1 WD Red Drive, come on up the limit to 2 on that and the 4TB's please :)

    • +1

Buy one at sale price and buy another one at retail price :P

      • retail price…that's madness!

        • Says the person who ended up paying above RRP to get his hands on a Surface Pro 3 from overseas http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2262377&p…

        • lol that could be anyone.

I am sure that person though needs to get that $200 back, can't do it paying retail for everything else :p

        • lol that could be anyone.

Nope, I'm convinced that you really ARE the Egyptian god of the underworld…c'mon, fess up! ;)

Rep? I have the Wii U premium but am looking at an external powered hard drive for the Wii U , 500gigs-1 Tb is fine.
    Can you recommend anything? Thanks

  • +1

When it says the Samsung microSD card starts at 12am, would that be midnight or midday on monday?

EDIT: So I was looking at that 32Gb Samsung Pro microsd card, but after a bit of looking on ebay I've found this: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/271454623494

Since I'll only be using it in a DSLR, would this be a better buy then? Speeds are a bit faster than the micro.

  • +1

Hi rep. How will this sale work in regards to first come first serve. Does it mean first person to successfully make a full transaction and pay means they got 1 and the unit goes down? What stops someone putting all of what they want in a basket now and checkout once the sale release time for that product comes?

    • good question.. I'm wondering the same..

can you add to cart now then purchase soon as the clock ticks over?

  • so just a "?" means any price, but if its say ?.96 , then it must ne below $10.. is that how it works?

  • Some item date and time have changed? ~.~

  • Any deals during the day (like in the next few hours)?

    • yup - there are other stuffs on sale under each 56 products, going either by the name "More"

      cheers
      SE

  • +6

Full price and schedule is out - Due to the MASSIVE support and audience on this deal, we've increased some qty to make more "people's dream" come true (750Gb Samsung SSD).

During the day - All products inside the "More choices" under each Epic deal will be available for purchase, so do a bit of browsing if you want so you don't need to add them when your interested deal becomes active.

Thanks everyone for the support and good luck :)

    Best of Luck
