        • All exit rows and row 1 have narrower hip space due to tray tables being in armrests, however if you are skinny but tall that will be ok. Excluding row 1, also note that Exit row window seats are cramped as side bulkheads there tend to cramp shoulder space, and also these rows are colder (chill radiates through the exit doors). The further back in an aircraft, the noisier.

        • I rang C.P. & got an estimate for changing the return leg. Current Change fee $A329

  • I believe this excludes taxes and surcharges, if you can live a no free entertainment and no free food maybe no blankets also for 7-10 hour flight then this deal is for you, I tried them a lot and I know the good and bad with this airline, oh and they are strict with baggage

  • Good read - http://www.travelindependent.info/asia-southeast.htm
    Philippines highly rated

TBH, considering the flight distance and the fact this is direct Syd to Manila.

Why is there many people complaining about leg room, luggage, food etc?

Do you really expect full service for a flight which is a 5th maybe 6th of the price compared to Qantas for example(which is a full service airline)?

You do get what you pay for in the end. Whenever I fly budget airlines, I go in with expectations which match the price I paid.

This is a great deal. There is no way Cebu Pacific is making any money on these seats. Surely these are all at a loss. I know the customer service is a big focus for this airline and you'll notice it on your flight. Think of Virgin Air from years ago when their service was better.

  • For Information, at 10am 11July 14 Still seats available but you need to search hard.

  • Ah, the heralded "super-packed" seating has arrived!

  • Dancing flight attendants, forget about leg room lol http://youtu.be/aXY27Rwg6UQ

  • Thanks OP.
    Booked 7 Oct to 16 Oct $143.
Took five goes at entering data.

  • If you're concerned about seat size just book another seat! Were travelling with a lap infant but at this price it's worth it to buy the extra seat for some more space.

At $44 can I book 3 seats in my name and lay down? 3 x carry on =21Kg.

  • Great deal. Thanks op. Live in bris but will get a flight to Sydney. Is it too risky getting the 6am tiger flight from bris for the 12 flight from Sydney?

    • I hope its not too risky, This is also my worry i got the 6am tiger flight from Sydney to Melbourne for the previous deal $289 return to Bali on Royal Brunei that leaves at 12

    • Im doing same thing in september and october just hope flight is on time. Although in sept i have 2hr 50min between flights and in oct 3hr 50min betwen flights.

For those concerned about torturous cramped space:-
Seat Widths Cebu Pacific 16.5", same as AirAsiaX (Emirates Boeing 777-300 17.0")
Seat Pitch Cebu Pacific 31", AirAsiaX 32"(But I don't believe it), and Emirates Boeing 777-300 32".
And for extra safety sake, hopefully C.P's A330 to Sydney is the one that was delivered brand new May 2013.

Thanks OP. I got a flight Syd to Mnl November $A143.

Up until not long ago you had to pay a fee before departing Phils. Can someone please confirm that all terminal fees, airport taxes, and International Pasenger Service Charges are now incorporated in tickets, and that there is no longer the need to pay anything before departing Phil's airports?

    • Hi Peck,

According to tripadvisor, the ~$20 AUD still needs to be paid on departure I believe.

    • Yes the $20 fee is still in place however Manila airport is starting to implement the fee into the airline ticket which should be by the end of the year hopefully.

    • i go to philippines every month you have to pay 550 pesos when you leave which is approx $13.75
      40 pesos per $1

    • Beyond the international terminal fee for Manila of 550 PHP (for tickets purchased outside the Phillipines - whatever that means - technically my purchase was from a computer server that may/may not be situated in the Phillipines) I've read that some airports in the Phillipines still charge domestic terminal fees separately as well (e.g. the 200 PHP domestic fee is often part of the ticket now but Puerto Princesa's terminal may still charge 100 PHP?).

It must have been thrown in the too hard basket for some airport official to add it as a tax (much like in Indonesia, Brunei and Myanmar).

      • Do you remember how much Myanmar's terminal fee was? Going there in 30 Days

It might be included in the ticket price these days. It was 10 USD.

  • "you will cebu pacfic have sales like this every few weeks."

"This is a great deal. There is no way Cebu Pacific is making any money on these seats. Surely these are all at a loss. I know the customer service is a big focus for this airline and you'll notice it on your flight. Think of Virgin Air from years ago when their service was better."

Which one of these is true?

As an ozbargainer I need to know, im feeling pleased with myself for getting a good deal but brando12 making me doubt myself !! Basically If I knew i could get this deal at least few times a year, I would have rather waited.

  • nevermind

  • Ahh I was too slow decding dates!

  • I have been to Cebu and Manila. Watch out for the pickpockets, they are everywhere. Better yet get some thief proof pants.

  • for some reason i am only able to select one way with the prices either 99 or 40 bucks ???

Even though I travel a lot, and am therefore aware of common mistakes in booking flights online, I cocked up!! Maybe others have too? I booked to return departing Manila on a Saturday. It departs 0015, and I was thinking "departs midnight on Saturday plus 15 minutes" - WRONG!! It departs midnight on Friday plus 15 minutes. BUMMER !!! 1 less day will mean that my planned trip to Puerto Galera will be rushed :o(

    • +1

lol saturday 0015 has always been 12.15am saturday morning..But i guess it can be confusing .

    • Almost made the same mistake

  • A bit of help here. I can't seem to find the deal,on the website itself. I've been trying to book a one way ticket at November 30 Sydney to Manila. One adult. Thanks for your help in advance :)

    • Got it nvm thanks anyways

  • +1
