    Hi, just like to ask before ordering.
    Does the led bulb have some CE certification or other certification?
    Coz last time I bought one from eBay, it only lasted a few hours before it burned out, lucky I was at home when it happened.

    How is the quality of the MR16 5W cool white Downlight? What is the equivalent wattage compared to normal halogen?

    My house is relatively new with electronic transformer. Will this LED flicker?

    Interested to get 10 if the quality is good.

        I've asked sparkys before, the ratio is 6:1 - in other words, 10 watt led = 60 watt incandescent. Here's one reference to back that up.

        Be careful - these globes may be fine, but many cheap LEDs are renowned for failing quickly.

        The original price quoted is similar to the price at Bunnings, so the discount is cheap!

        I don't understand. It is a spot light to put onto the ceiling. The ceiling is a straight line, meaning 180 degrees. How do you get 230 degrees? On the otherside of the ceiling? Why quote anything above the ceiling? If it is 180 degrees, are you suggesting that it doesn't produce a visible cone at all?

        edit: and I see you have updated your listing to say it is 180 degrees, but you haven't answered my post. You're absolutely sure it doesn't produce a cone, and that it shoots light over the entire 180 degrees? It would be annoying to purchase it to find it actually has a narrower cone.

          The fact that they said it ranges from 180 to 230 means that they don't have a clue. Maybe it lights up your ceiling as well..?

    Beware - the last budget set of LED bulbs I bought from MyLED cause massive RF interference. Cannot listen to the radio if any are on in the house. When I advised them they said there's nothing they can do because I got them cheap (like these).

      I didn't have any RF interference problem with the 3w LED I bought last time. In fact they are as bright as the 8w CFL they replaced.

      My experiences with cheap LEDs from Hong Kong have been poor. The 25k hour LED B22 light bulbs I ordered worked for around 1000 hours before they started flashing (failed). I took one apart and noticed the electronics that are exposed to 240v AC are just wrapped in a layer of insulating tape and placed inside the aluminium heatsink. I wouldn't be game to touch one of these light bulbs while it was on.

      My advice is to spend a few dollars more and get a product engineered by one of the large reputable lighting companies (Philips, OSRAM, etc). You really do get what you pay for in terms of design and testing.

      Received and tested these 5W MR16 cool white halogen bulb.

      I can report these MR16 LED lights are quite bad. Not even bright at all. Definitely not even 1W. Complained to customer service and they asked me to get a wattmeter to measure the wattage of these bulbs!!

      So disappointed with them and I bought some Phillips Masters 7W LED to compare. It is almost night and day. Phillips are so bright.

      $20 down the drain. No more no brand LED bulbs for me.

      Its 2.99$ including delivery. The wording of the deal is wrong. My 2 bulb was charged 3.54$ and then delivery has to be added, making it 5.98$. I guess the original deal is 1.77$ per bulb + 1.22$ delivery up to 10 bulbs, after 10 bulbs the delivery fee reduces.

        As they were rated as equivalent to little more than a 40W incandescent bulb that would be used in a reading light… Definitely not. For use as a reading light, works well, replacing 10 & 15W CFL. Using one for uplighter to provide a warm soft glow to lounge room - enough to find your way around.
        I use a free 9W LED for good illumination over kitchen counter, which would be adequate for a small room.
