Spotted these while doing the groceries this morning! Nice reduction from the regular $3.50 per kg! Looks to be at just the South Melbourne store.

My first deal post so hope I got it right :)

They've been this price for awhile! Same with Woolworths and Aldi. ^^

  • Coles South Melbourne (Clarendon St) used to be great until they demolished it a few years ago. Here's what it used to look like:

Fruit shop has this as their normal price, everyday.

Meanwhile, you haven't posted a single bargain yet. Hypocrite.

And yet I am still 100% correct

if that's all that matters to you, you can still be correct without the snark. see mranderson978's comment below on how to constructively neg a bargain.

  • My local has been having same thing, they have these manager specials that only last 1-2 days constantly on apples, bananas and tomato's. Which they would just keep them low for the full week instead of silly games.

  • Not a deal vWF

  • I don't think $2/kg for bananas is a bargain.

$2 per KG is not a bargain. As people have already pointed out, you can generally get them for $2. I get them at $2 whenever is shop at ALDI.

For a real bargain, check out the Queen Victoria Market. I've seen them there for as low as $1 per Kg. Sadly it's too far for me to do my grocery shopping, but whenever I'm in the city, I'll grab a few kgs.

Paying $3.50 for bananas is outrageous, and reducing the price to $2 and calling it a special is very cheeky.

      Very suspicious. Very suspicious indeed.

      • whoa. o_o

  • Woolies parra have them for 1.20/kg

  • not a deal, normal price.

    • The price I usually see bananas for at Coles is $2.90/kg. They were $2/kg recently in Vic (advertised in the last catalogue). Fruit and veg do not usually have set prices unless they're advertised.

Can't really classify this price ozbargain worthy. They are quite oft 99c/kg here.
