    Was all excited, as I've been contemplating getting a double din touch screen with mirror cast but unfortunately it doesn't include the AV range.

    • bugger i was thinking the exact same thing

  • Man just got some on amazon… Good prices

    The Pioneeer DEH-X4650BT is a great price @ $106.20 (RRP $239). Been looking at this quality BT head unit with CD and USB for a while now. Lucky I waited because I was considering this deal not long ago.

    My old Pioneer DEH-4650MP unit from many years ago is still going strong. Even though its still working. Its missing all features I need so want to upgrade.

      i would defiantly recommend this one for $88 instead along as you don't need the CD drive

      • Thanks for the suggestion. Still need cd as well.

      • Some reviews here http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GN5K5WY
        If your looking for reviews it helps to search the USA models. Looks identical, but slightly different names.
        MVHX365BT = MVHX360BT
        DEHX4650BT = DEHX4600BT
        DEHX6650BT = DEHX6600BT

        As well JB have the DEH-X6650BT for $118 which comes with a bonus car wash pack.

        As far as I can tell, they are all the same unit. The 4650 and 6650 of course have CD playback, but they also have front pre out. Additionally the 6650 has a double line screen so you have have the time displayed underneath the track name and adjustable brightness (some reviews have complained about visibility of the 4650 so this could solve that)

        Otherwise, looks like another case of using confusion as a marketing tool, as they seem to have the same specs

        • Thanks. Didn't see that one. This looks like a better oine. Even though the specs are almost the same except for a few differences.

        • Ended up buying the DEH-X6650BT with bonus Armour All cleaning Pack. Got it for $115 with discount because I had to get them to make sure they did the advertised price. Not the snickered price. Salesman told me he sold one yesterday for $168 (40% of ticketed price $279) not the actual advertised discounted price.

          Since It was only an extra $9 with bonus pack was worth it. As I didn't like that you couldn't full dim the x4650bt and bright blue buttons.

  • I have a honda accord euro. It says I need 6.5 inch speakers. Will the 16cm fit ok?

    • +1

      6.5 inch = 16.5 cms, very likely to fit without mods, with mods definitely.

    • i got a CU2, are these speakers better than stock? Extremely Cheap!
      I remember reading somewhere, that all honda's now use Pioneers from like 2008+

      • Ive only just got mine, but i believe they use panasonic. The front speakers are 2 way i think. Ive also heard they're not the best, even though it sounds good as its a 10 speaker system. Im thinking always room for improvement.

  • Where do I find what size my front speakers are without dismantling the door?

    • Try google

    Thanks OP I picked up some of these:

    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/gps-car-audio/pioneer/pioneer-ts-r…

    To replace my 6.5" speakers front and rear that ripped the cones when I upgraded the head unit. They sound good, not particulary bassy but that might change once I put the door skins back on

  • Hi, I am going to pick one of them up tomorrow. I have a mitsubishi mirage - is it easy to connect it up? I'll be removing the stock stereo? Do I need to buy any extra connectors? I'm a noob on this but I like ripping things apart. If someone can point me to a solid howto web-site i'll be grateful. Thanks,

    If your buying a new head unit and removing the OEM stereo then you might also want to also buy a ISO wiring harness if your not happy with chopping the factory OEM connector off and permanently wiring in the Pioneer connector.

    This is basically a cable that connects to the existing OEM stereo connector and converts it to the required Pioneer brand connector type without the hassle of having to cut of the existing Connector and solder in the new one that cones with the stereo. Also makes it easier to remove the new stereo and put the OEM stereo back in if you ever decide to sell the car and want to keep the Aftermarket one.

    • Thanks for that - that should bake life easier ?

      Am I correct that I will need to buy to harnesses? Mitsubishi to ISO, then ISO to Pioneer?

        Correct. You need two parts. Just make sure to shop around. For example my local REPCO store has the ISO to Pioneer (APP8Pi05) for $15. Supercheap $16.95 & Autobarn $20

        • Thanks for that g1234567. I'll shop around. I'm looking forward to pulling the console apart to install it. Not sure how i'm going to wire up the microphone around the dash - i'm sure there will be a way.

        • Thanks - I have installed my stereo and it works great! was suprisingly easy, bought the 2 harnesses from REPCO - they were only $10 each.. so cheaper than SuperCheapAuto($17) and Autobarn ($25).
