780

How to get East India Company Gold Edition for free @ DLH.NET

  1. Register first or Login if you've already member there.
  2. Go to "Profile/Keys" on the top right corner
  3. Once in your profile change language to German/Deutsch
  4. Refresh the profile page and the game should appear
  5. Click on "Get your Steam Key here" besides East India Company.

Link to the game on Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/25930/
Not sure what the difference between the gold edition and standard edition are.

Also here is the link to Enclave (another game they give away to all members) - http://store.steampowered.com/app/253980/

Note: you may get the "The next round (250 keys) starts in 60 minutes." message.
Ignore this and just try to refresh on the hour, the keys seem to reset then.

Good luck!

Worked right away for me.
Just changed language to German in my profile and it appeared.

Instructions a little unclear. Maybe you could provide some screenshots? :)

    • +1

      Have you tried following them? I agree if you just read it without attempting it sounds a bit unclear. Essentially, it's this;

      1. Register at dlh.net
      2. Edit your profile by clicking "Profile/Keys"
      3. Set your profile language to German.
      4. Within the profile is a section called "Steam Keys". Here you will find a section "East India Company Gold Edition". This is where to get your key.
      • i did work it out, but it is somewhat unclear.

telling me no keys for another 5 mins tho

Don't think you have to "study" history to know…

Guys, most kids these days don't take in anything.

History is what happened a week ago to these people. If it happened outside their bubble, it never happened.

          @Son ofa Zombie:
In fairness though, everything is IN OUR FACES these days, fighting for attention. 'Stuff' from 300 years ago doesn't get play, and it's understandable why.
"The squeaky wheel gets the oil".

I'm 35, very-well travelled, and have a general interest in ANYTHING. I've heard the name, get the basic gist, but that's it. Follow the Wiki links…. TL;DR

Is it wrong to ask the question in our everyday lives… "How does it affect me?" We need to Yes/No everything that comes flying at us, somehow.

"The next round (250 keys) starts in 10 minutes." Have to wait until they release new keys.
    EDIT: Got it :)

    Website not responding now.

  • +3

Site's getting Ozbargained. Yet only 6 votes.

    • +4

always vote AFTER i get the deal :)

    • +3

Maybe people are waiting until they can actually claim it before voting..?

        • +4

Or maybe we don't just randomly vote for everything before seeing if it will actually work.

        • +3

Far out Tyres, surely you can see the wisdom in NOT pozzing something until you've verified that it actually works; that way other users will KNOW SOMETHING IS WORKING, if it HAS VOTES… sheeeesh… I'm not doubting you know yer tyres, but lemme' guess… "techo" ain't your thing?

  • "no keys left – try again tomorrow"

no keys left – try again tomorrow

And "tomorrow" in Berlin is 14.5 hours away (9:30AM Berlin at time of posting) :-(

    • +1

I got that as well. 2 refreshes later I got my key so I wouldn't trust it

    • Read the ! sign next to the get steam key blue button, says the per hour and the day limit?

  • OK cool. Just as I was about to say "Das ist Scheiße, mein freund", it worked. Actually got it first go, it just took ages to log-in through steam.
Now I'm gonna go back and get "Enclave", which I notice they're also giving away. Thanks Peanie-Pecker, for deciphering the "the riddler's" cryptic post for me.

    UPDATE:
Got "Enclave" too, really quick this time… or maybe that one's always free and that's why? I'm just "signing in" to DIh.com with a dummy facebook account I have, then from there it asks me to login via my steam account, and then it adds the key. Worked first time for both games via that route.

    Anyways, thanks OP :P

  • I thought I'd missed out. When you click on get key, you have to authenticate with Steam and allow dlh.net access to your account. You then get handed back to dlh.net. It was here that my session kept timing out. I just went back to check my Steam library and EICG is in there. Thanks OP!

  • I got a Enclave Key … wonder if this is cos they ran out or I did something wrong.

    • Enclave is for English site, East India is for German?

      • Yeah I switch to German language ( before I took enclave) and it was in my account form either view - but no mention of anything else.

EDIT:..logged out and back in again and it was there.

Saw a note that they were giving away enclave for their relaunch (Dec 2013)

  • cheers, got this, plus Enclave.

  • Cheers OP,

Got both for free, is this an ongoing thing?

  • -1

Is that a game? Doesn't sound like a game. ("East India Company Gold")

  • Got one. thanks!

  • Thanks OP just got it and Enclave as well. Cheers

    http://store.steampowered.com/app/253980/

  • BOOM just got it thanks OP

  • Signed up and got both without changing languages at all. There were 2 links to redeem on the profile page so quite simple to obtain. Good find!

  • I just tried to make the instructions a little clearer.

    The deal is still going.

  • Just tried to grab it and turns out I already own it and have it downloaded yet have never launched it. Doh!

  • Cheers, instructions worked fine for me.
When i clicked on "Get your steam key" it brought up the usual steam page, but the dialogue was in Czech… I clicked on "Povolit" and game got added.

    • Chuckle… I admire your Czech-speaking skills! Channeling a long-dead distant relative maybe? Or did "POVO" just strike a chord (this is OzBargains, after all)? ;P

  • Thank i also get steam key for Enclave http://www.dlh.net/en/games/8078/Enclave.html anyone have the same key.

  • Thanks OP, I got both Enclave and East India Company Gold Ed.
I didn't have to switch to the Language to German though.
