Hahaha. So sick of seeing these pathetic deals! You need to be a lawyer to read the fine print of exclusions…

  • The added cost of postage is the killer for ps4 games. Wish they did it like the other coupon code were the discount also included free shipping.

    • +1

There seems to be free shipping store wide on fridays. Maybe wait until friday if you need free shipping.

      • But 12% is only today.

I will never get any orders from DS delivered to my home address.

If noone is home to sign, which is most of the time duirng work hours, then Star Strack leave a card and i have to pick the item up Monday - Friday 7am-830am 4pm-5pm..

why can't they just use Parcel Post? That way I just go down to the local post office which is open on weekends!

    • +2

Have you looked into using Aust Post Lockers ?

      http://auspost.com.au/parcels-mail/parcel-lockers.html?ecid=…

      • Well, last I was told by Australia post they won't accept packages from other couriers. One time pumpkin patch used DHL, it got lost for a few weeks because Australia post didn't allow to put it in a parcel locker. Somebody from Australia post eventually called me to tell there is a package at their office.

        • +1

You're correct about Australia Post Parcel Locker not accepting parcels from other couriers such as DHL. However Australia Post do accept parcels from Startrack Express into Parcel Locker which is what Dick Smith uses for all deliveres. Because Startrack is a subsidiary of Australia Post.

Don't take my word for it.

"StarTrack is a subsidiary of Australia Post, and parcels carried by StarTrack will be accepted for delivery into Parcel Lockers."

          http://auspost.com.au/parcels-mail/parcel-lockers.html

        • @hollykryten: yup, i've been using parcel locker fro dse deliveries, no issue so far..

        • @equavate:

Yep. Also works for Parcel Collect too. I had a Startrack Express parcel from PC Case Gear accepted into Parcel Collect. Same deal for Parcel Locker but there are no Parcel Lockers here.

        • @hollykryten: Thanks for letting me know. I was avoiding dse because of this.

        • DHL and Startrack deliver fine to my parcel locker. Only have an issue with FedEx, they call me and ask where I want it delivered.

    • wao this is first for me hearing that aus post dont accept startrack pacels. My local post office has always accepted all my startrack parcels sent by DSE so ive never had a problem with DSE and their deliveries.

    Nowadays DSE promotions means nothing.

  • +4

So essentially everything is excluded. 12% off of nothing? Reminds me of Seinfeld.

  • +1

lol, shouldn't the sales for the EoFY be finished by now… or did DSE not get that memo?

All these DSE sales popping up…

  • Been waiting to buy the Samsung 4k monitor, but now it's out of stock and I didn't have the money when they had the discount last week >:(

  • Looks like no more discounts on Chromecast. You notice that Chromecast is listed as one of the exclusions.

  • +1

$399 for GoPro 3+ Black delivered is good value.

T&Cs exclude GoPro but the code still works in the cart.

    • You can beat your sweet chili that they'll correct that oversight soon. Get in while you can.

    • how have they not fired their hopeless IT department yet? lol!!

    • +1

Voucher code also works for the GoPro Silver Edition brings that down to $320.14 + $4.95 delivery. And you guessed it also works for the GoPro White Edtion brings it down to $222.90 + $4.95 delivery. Looks like the hopeless IT staff stuffed up.

      • +1

I used to work for DSE IT, we had nothing to do with setting prices for sales.

      • Is $320 about as good as it gets for the GoPro3+ Silver?

  • Ouch I want the LG G2 but its $599 and tomorrow its in special for $549. If thus sale was tomorrow then 12% off 549 is much better than off 599. I am dying for local G2 stock to break $500 with the sweet spot $450. Let's hope they have another flash sale while this is in special (big fingers crossed)

      $499 at jb

      • 16Gb Model only. Im after the 32Gb which JB Don't Stock :(

        • No? Pretty sure they used to. People were geting it for a lot less than that too and with the G3 coming out price should be going down.

  • I'm planning to get PS4 need some tips please

is the PS4 after discount for $482 still an ok to buy? or should I just get PS4 for $499 at ebgames by trade in my xbox 360 250gb but getting 3 games (watch dogs, AC4 and NBA14)?

  • XboxOne 500GB TitanFall Console Bundle $598.00
    Discount (Flash12) : -$71.76
    Grand Total (Incl.Tax) : $526.24

  • The exclusion list is growing :(

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition is currently $30 off today only at $569 before discount so with the 12% off is only $500.72. Best price around at the moment if you are in the market for one.

The 12% off also makes some of the other tablets decent prices like the Tab 3, Tab Pro.

EDIT: Looks like it's just expired, was working earlier but just as I'm about to buy a Note it's not valid anymore.

EDIT2: For some reason I could add the code to my cart but then when I logged into my existing account during checkout it took the code off and said it was invalid if I re-entered it. Logging out and then adding to my cart again was fine and I proceeded with the purchase with another email address and it worked fine… don't know what's going on there, but the code is obviously still valid.
