    Just after everyone's opinion.

    I bought the PS4 on Sunday morning it was shipped out the following day from Sydney and arrived in Melbourne the following day.

    I've received the shipping email and tracked it through the Star Track website and the status has been "In Transit" since Monday.

    Called Star Track and they have advised that they can't find it and have to manually search for it in their depot.

    Is it worth lodging a Paypal dispute? I know the issue is with the courier and not Dick so just wondering what I should do next?

    Star Track says could be 10+ days before they find anything or declare it "Lost".

    It's almost worth ordering another one because I know I'll receive that before they find my order! lol.

      I had the count at 1300-ish before the reset, not sure where you got 2500 from, it wasn't that high - it was around 1300 on Saturday before this (Sunday Deal) started..

        Pretty sure I saw the sold count at ~640 shortly after the discount code was mentioned working.
        Then there are these GoPros which mysteriously keep coming back to '8 remaining'. I think something fishy is going on with the eBay counters.

          Definitely. I ordered a TV on Sunday, at the time there were supposedly 2 of 8 remaining in stock according to the eBay counter. My mate also ordered one at the same time, and since we have yet to receive an invoice or shipping notification, he asked what the hold up was. DS's customer service response, 'oh those TV's are on backorder'…FFS

    While this deal with coupon has indeed expired, it appears that Dick Smith now has the PS4 listed, now without coupon, for $399.

    Back in stock again. I'm glad I resisted buying this last week because I was able to use a unique 10% ebay coupon which expires today on the $399 price, and get it reduced to $359.

    Ordered my PS4 on Sunday 17th. Have yet to see it arrive :(. Whilst my friends who ordered on the same day received it 3 days after. Apparently they're low on stock.

    Dear all, i had the unfortunate stand that my order has not been dispatched yet, depiste my friends of similar order received it last wednesday. When i approached Dicksmith about this issue where it said that my order was 'shipped', but startrack showed 'freight manifested' only since 19th of August, i researched and found that similarly that others had the following response from Dicksmithebay.

    'We have investigated this and found the PS4 label came off during processing, the item was scanned for delivery but as the label wasn't there it wasn't picked up. It is rare for this to happen and unfortunately we don't know about the issue until it is brought to our attention as our delivery systems show it's complete after a connote is generated. We have rectified it now and the console will be re-processed for shipping and will arrive this week. Very sorry for the mixup and any inconvenience caused.'

    I called Dicksmith online services and sent them emails, and both mentioned that they would forward the issue to the relevant department (though i doubt it'll help), along with the following statement:

    • Please be advised that we could not provide a replacement item to be sent to you as the item is currently on low stock.
    • We regret to inform you that we are unable to provide you with an estimated time of delivery.
    • Alternatively we can offer you a full refund.

    I just wanted to bring this to the attention of some others that have not received their PS4. Just a warning that there are time limits on paypal disputes (i think 30 days?). So if you don't get your PS4 soon, it'll be easier to claim money through paypal than from Dicksmith.

    I am a little angry :(

      Paypal dispute and negative feedback for sure. Unless you want to lodge a complain with Consumer Protection like what i did to get my refund.

      Guys, seems to be DS is now allowing eBay sales to be transferred to physical stores. Ring up, tell them you want your order to be transferred to your local DS. If they say this will take 24-48hrs, call their BS. They can simply ring the store you specify, check they have stock, and do the transfer within a matter of minutes :)
