10% off Everything at OzGameShop. The Last of Us Remastered (PS4) $51.48 Delivered

500
WAKA

Just went to check out the price of LTOU:R and saw that everything, including pre-orders, are 10% off with the code.

There have been cheaper prices for the game in the past but it's still cheaper than the $55 DSE deal right now. Note: this is NTSC version if that matters to anyone.

Deal says it's for "today" only (not sure if UK or AUS time)

Just ordered GTA V for PC - thanks

    • I wasn't planning on buying it yet, but for $54 can I say no?

  • finally got last of us for ps3, been holding out this long

    • Is it really that much better than on PS3?

        • console peasant race detected

        • What are you then, if you're on a post about a console exclusive game?

        • +3

Have you even played the updated version?

I'm guessing not going by your poorly worded reply, but if so there are some glasses bargains that crop up here from time to time, maybe you should check them out?

      • +3

Yes, it is. 1080p + 60fps makes a big difference. It also comes with the DLC.

    • If you own a PS4, and the PS4 version is the same price as the PS3 version, it's a no brainer. It comes with $20 worth of DLC.

      • $20 is probably the price differential that I might go back to a ps3 game over ps4

    Cheers OP…just pre-ordered Metro Redux (PS4) for $42. BARGAIN!!!

    • Noooo why did you post this… now I'm gonna get it!

  • Hyrule warriors is 54 express, but not sure if getting it 2 weeks late justifies 5dollar saving (most likely 59 at target)

  • +3

    Cheers! Ordered Xillia 2.

    • Ordered that as well as Metro for PS4. :)

  • +1

Metro Redux is $42.30 + shipping for PS4. Beats the $79 JB currently have it listed at.

Edit: Someone already posted that. :P

    • +2

I like your taste in games. Seems like you're getting a lot of older titles though; are you catching up with some of the classics?

      • +1

yeah, also a while back had to sell off most of my collection, was moving interstate, so getting some i had before, but want again.

anyone else had to sell of their collection for reasons, and now regret it ??

when i was a boy i had a pretty big collection of g1, g2 transformers, prob had nearly everyone of them, left them at my parents house when i moved out, went back there not to recently looking for them, they told me a man offered them 50 bux for 10 big boxes of my toys at a garage sale they was having, and they took it. i didn't even get the 50 bux =(. heartbreaking i tell ya.

just like selling off my collection of rpgs, the prices are so high now for some of the games i had back then. snes, nes, ps1, ps2, games all gone. only started collecting again about 2 yrs now.

Sold 65 XBOX 360 games for $500 which paid for my PS4 plus extra controller and a couple of games so pretty happy with that.

Regret selling my N64 when I was a kid, though.. Cash Converters ripped me off something proper now that I look back on it, but lesson learnt and never dealt with them again!

        • +1

          @tommy-darko: I also regret selling my N64 :(

        • +1

@tommy-darko Do not talk about cash converters. I sold them a sega dreamcast for like $60 when times were tough :P

  • Grabbed 3 PS4 games (Battlefield 4, GTA V, and FIFA 15) for $135 delivered with 10% off plus $45 credit. Cheers OP!

    • What is the $45 credit?

      • +1

he probably had credit he used towards his purchases…

  • Can anyone comment on the advantages and disadvantages of using a US PSN account as a primary account? I picked up the PS4 console from yesterday's deal and am looking for cheap games. Does multiplayer still connect to AU servers and is PS Plus cheaper?

    • +5

US PSN is so much better. I recently got a ps4 and after a bit of research went with the US PSN. Games are cheaper, you still connect to local servers ( as long as they are available). In terms of how to buy from the US store, it's quite simple if you have an amazon.com account. Just jump on that and buy a US PSN card ( using your normal credit/debit card) and make sure you use a US shipping address ( the code is digitally delivered to your email, so nothing physically is actually sent). Once u got it, type in the code and the funds are added to your wallet!

      • It'll be good if you can do tutorial on the forums for all of us who got the ps4 yesterday. Thanks either way.

      • Do you buy them off the us psn store or just buy imported copies, and then use the us account to get dlc etc? Also, if i buy ps plus for the us account, can i play online with an au account?

        • +2

If you want a US PS+ membership and want to play online using your existing AUS account you will need to setup a secondary US account using the US Playstation site:

          https://www.playstation.com/en-us/home/

There you will need to enter a US address and use a US state without sales tax such one of the Portland Universities:

          PO Box 751
          Portland, Oregon
          97207-0751
          United States

Then you need to purchase a US PS+ membership. I can vouch for this seller, bought 2 years worth for $84 ($42 each) when they had them on special:

          http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/121345728193

The seller will send the code to your eBay email.

Login to your new US account on your PS4 and set it as the Primary account in the settings.

Enter the US PS+ code using 'Redeem Codes' down the bottom in the US PlayStation Store.

Now if you want to purchase anything from the US PlayStation Store, you will need to add funds to your PSN wallet.

Go to Amazon.com and make sure you use the same US address as above to purchase these:

          http://www.amazon.com/10-PlayStation-Store-Gift-Card/dp/B00G…

Redeem them the same way you did the PS+ membership, within the US PlayStation Store.

Now you can switch back and forth between your new US account and your current AUS account and enjoy the cheaper benefits of the US PlayStation Store whilst still being able to use your current AUS account! :)

        • @tommy-darko: Thanks for the write up, appreciate your efforts! Since I'm getting the ps4 bundle with destiny, may as well settle for an AU account so i can get future expansions. Or i may just sell the physical copy and buy it off the us store :P. So just to clarify, i can use 1 ps plus account and it applies to everyone on the console, bearing in mind i make it my primary console?

        • +1

          @tommy-darko: again, thank you!

    • As noted above by 'alvy', the benefits are cheaper PlayStation Plus membership ($50 there vs $70 here), cheaper downloads (eg. Destiny $60 there vs $100 here) and access to US exclusive content. Probably the only downside I've noticed is that we seem to have slightly better free game downloads such as Dead Space 3 currently, which isn't accessible if you have a US PS+ membership but the benefits far out way the negatives.

NTSC is overseas isn't it? Pal AUS?? Got a msian ps2 last time, so the region seems locked to their (both copied and original games).

Also - does gameshop charge shipping? If not then the $51 for TLOU:R is pretty good, i bought the $55 deal of DSE yesterday after missing out on the $45 one on friday, was worried it'd revert back to the usual $79 /$80 something RRPs :S

    • PS3, PS4, Vita and XB1 are all region free. Only Wiiu, 360, DS and 3DS have region locking.

      • 360 being locked only for some titles. It can be a bit of a PITA to look up whats what for that console but I find. I've found it rather interesting over the years that the console that's supposed to be portable (DS line-up) perhaps has the worst region locking out of the box.

Also PAL is used in Europe also. As far as those locked consoles go, you can get European copies if you want.

        • Also, the whole PAL / NTSC is becoming archaic very quickly.

        • Seems a majority of the titles on 360 are locked. The ones that aren't are more exception than rule.

      • ahhh ok, so with the PS4 NTSC forr msia, uk, europe etc, pal for aus and usa?

        • No, ps4 (and Xbone) have no region or technology locks on games, only movies.

          It used to be
          US- NTSC U/C
          Japan - NTSC J
          Europe, AUS, NZ - PAL

With movies, now that bluray as become the standard the regions are now

US, South America, Asia - region A
UK, AUS, NZ etc - region B
          Everyone else - region C

As I said above, the whole PAL/NTSC format standards are steadily dying out, as digital tv is becoming the standard. As soon as everyone has ditched their old analog TVs, then it won't be an issue anywhere, then it's just down to the manufacturers and distributors discretion on if they want to implement region locks, but it won't be due to technology standards but rather so they can continue to price gouge regions, regardless of current currency values.

        • sorry i meant ps2 when i was writing that, not ps4, my bad. but thanks for listing out the relevant regions.

What regions would msia be then for the old ps1s? I seem to remember aus games were different to ones bought in msia (therefore i assume ntsc). I had a mix of originals and uhhh not so originals from msia… but yeah i definitely remember i could play any from malaysia but alot in aus didn't work strangely enough (until i modded and i could play both).

oddly enough my newer ps2 could only play msian games and not both aus and msian as my ps1. when you popped in a brand new original ps2 game (someone bought me buzz for my bday one year) it showed up in black and white :S

hopefully going forward no one will continue to put on any of these stupid region lock things.

  • As situated in Australia, I think UK games are the cheapest, if you are getting the DISC.

    pre-ordered

    bayonetta 2 & kingdom hearts 2.5

  • I was about to buy The Last of Us Remastered for $60 from my local DS, saved $8.50 delivered. Pretty good to go with my free PS4.

  • Minecraft ps4 and infamous son last light ps4 are also good deals. Both pre orders. Bummer about the shipping fee.

    • both are cheaper at JB…not worth buying them at ozgameshop

      • Ouch. What prices were you able to get at jb? Haggle?

        • +1

first light jb ($24.95) vs ozgameshop ($27.99)
minecraft jb ($24.98) vs ozgameshop ($26.99)

not a huge difference but still not worth to buy from ozgameshop
          use it for another game
maybe this? it is $89.95 at EB while ozgameshop has it for $46.99
          http://www.ozgameshop.com/ps4-games/lara-croft-and-the-templ…

        • @henrikoez:

Ozgameshop for both games : 51.47 delivered using coupon.

          JB $51.91 delivered.

So ozgameshop was cheaper. The only argument would be buying local from JB for quicker delivery.

This is such a beautiful game.

But instead of playing it myself, I chose to watch the walkthrough gameplays on youtube :)

  • lame, yesterday they had stock for ps3 version, now its out of stock :/

  • Thanks! Bought Tales of The Abyss for $30 and pre-ordered Evolve for ~$43

  • Grabbed the 3 themed smash bros controllers and metro redux on ps4 and even had $13 in my PayPal account to lessen the dip into my savings account, cheers OP!

    • Planning to get the mario version as well, do i need the gamecube adapter to connect it?

      • No. You'll need a Wii remote though.

        • ic, thanks!
