Can you use a gift card to buy the gift card?

    • +3

nope i dont think any stores do this overwise people will have gift cards that last forever each time they renew them

    • +2

      probably not, else:

      1. Buy 1 gift card for $50.
      2. Buy 2 gift cards for additional $30
      3. Buy 2 gift cards for no additional money.
      4. 50% off
      5. be creative
      • Does the 20% exclude giftcards?

    • You can use the gift card to buy other gift cards like psn and itunes cards but you cant buy other jbhifi cards with it. The 20% will probably not be valid on any of these.

  • Good hack

    • yeah but its a Navman :).

Garmin is the way to go!

  • Just got an email from them too. Great work out. Thanks OP

Do you get the coupon straight away?

Need a couple of games to go with the PS4 purchased from Dick Smith last weekend. When I head down to HN to pickup my 2 iTunes gift cards I might pop into JB and get into the JB gift cards and discount cards.

  • This 20% off sounds good regardless. Might get me some CDs

Not that the 20% off voucher need a day (or 24 hours?) to be activated.

    • Also tried to use the purchased gift card straight away with the voucher but it was not registered in the system yet.

    • I used mine straight away. She had to call for the manager. Basically said if one manager comes, I've got no chance… The other manager is okay. I got the good one.

So the post is a dupe but gets more votes.

    • Go into the store, get the card and the discount… go to lunch, come back all good.

The post is for the Portable usb3.0 1TB Seagate drive… but if you actually look at their catalogues or go instore (as I did today) they are selling for $99!

I don't know how the OP is claiming to buy it for $63.20 (I know the assumption is a $79 original selling price - but that's not the case?! - if so, please show me where they are selling for $79)

    Am I missing something here?

    • I personally havn't gone into a store, but I dont see why they cannot honor their online advertised priceinstore. See https://www.jbhifi.com.au/computers-tablets/seagate/seagate-…

    • Same thing happened to me and the price was $99 in store. Wonder if I can order online for inshore pickup and still use the gift voucher?

    • Unfortunately, link and front page for site shows 1TB Seagate is now $89 … hmm

  • Still got this in store last night. They haven't changed the price tags so you can still get it for 79 even if it says 89 in the cash register.
