I guess you could say these Lindt blocks are half the size as well.

    • +1

      They've always been 100g..?

      • I think he means compared to Cadbury, and they're so thin, you finish them in seconds.

        • +1

But the taste of Cadbury… :)

    • You'd be in luck if you live in South Australia. Foodland & IGA still stock them, there. This week they have a sale on the huge 300g size version of those (Gold Milk Choc & Milk Choc Almond) for $5.50

      Sale starts WED 3rd Sep.

    • Had no idea about that product line, and I've eaten a lot of chocolate. When did they stop selling in QLD?

Also on a vaguely unrelated note - anyone here tried the lindt 99% blocks? Managed to pick one up in Thailand, but haven't seen them around here anywhere.

They also need to get the 99% variety or at least the 90%.

    • +1

They have the 90% now :)

      • +6

The Lindt store has 99%, and it tastes like dirt - it's basically pure raw cocoa.

        • +1

That's because it's meant to be used for cooking, not eating out of the packet.

        • @infinite: Not according to Lindt. See here, down the bottom.

        • The 99% is apparently for certain taste buds and the packet even has a warning that it takes time to get used to eating it. My wife is the one who eats it (I'm a white chocolate kinda guy so totally opposite to her). :-)

    • They've stocked both for ages now. The 90% one in the choc isle & the 99% one is usually around in the cooking chocolate isle.

      • can't find on website at all for either

      • Seriously? 99% is at Woolworths? Which state are you in and which Woolies do you see it in? Damn. I paid heaps in Hong Kong a few weeks back to get them for my wife.

        • I rang woolies Burwood SYD westfield and they dont have 90% or 99%

    Time to feed the addiction!

  • I still have blocks from the last sale - time to restock!

  • https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/146851 Lindt was $1.80 in June, ill stick my nose up to this and keep rationing out the 15 blocks I bought back then. Also the price of Cocoa has lifted steadily over the past 24months:

  • So much for getting into shape for summer….

    • +3

Depends what shape you had in mind!

  • Do woolies have 90% yet?,seriously what a joke coles had them for ages.

    • +1

They've always stocked the 90% one in the choc isle & the 99% one around in the cooking choc isle.

      • In Melbourne i've only seen the 90% at Coles. At Woolies i havent seen anything higher than 85%. I've never seen the Lindt 99% in a supermarket.

  • ye boiiiii

    • Ne grl

  • +1

Is this the best dark you can buy in the supermarket

    • at colesworths some prefer green & black's

but supaiga/independents have better boutique and overseas brands :)

  • These have been going at $1 a block at Sweet As for a few weeks now. Just bought 10 blocks over the weekend. Sure, they expire in about a month or so, but surely they'll be long gone by then. Cant tell the difference in taste

  • Was just thinking of getting some 85%! Thanks!

  • Does anyone know what varieties included in this ? Lindt has "hello" "excellence" "creations" are these all part of this ? As they all 100gm blocks. Thanks

    • catalogue doesn't specify but online includes excellence and creations, excludes hello
