  • Rather a Moto G.

    Crap resolution, otherwise maybe.

Not a bad phone for the price. Big 5" IPS screen ( although low res ), decent battery, with lower res screen and KitKat 4.4 the MSM8210 should be fairly zippy. I personally think the LG skin is one of the better out there. The main point to keep in mind is "3G: HSDPA 900 / 2100" only, so not so good for Voda and or Telstra in Australia.

  • 90$ delivered quad core china phone will eat this alive

    • surely it could show mercy by killing it and cooking it first!

Think I'd rather grab http://www.dwidigitalcameras.com.au/astore/Asus-Zenfone-5-Du… for a big, cheap plastic phone

Posting this from one now. Picked it up yesterday after I dropped my Nexus 4. Got it for 230 after haggling at JB. Not bad for the price, but it feels cheap. Dual sim slots are mini-sd, which it doesn't tell you anywhere. No problems connecting through optus(TPG) and Telstra. Phone is quite responsive, but the screen is average as you'd expect. Decent battery life, I'm currently at 2/3 battery using both sims, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled, 2 dozen calls made and some browsing for the day so far. HSDPA does seem quicker than the old nexus.

  • Moto G, better and cheaper.

  • Ok I'm looking for a work phone. It will primarily be used for incoming work calls and as an in car GPS. I will rarely use it outside of the car or the office. So I'mm looking at the bigger screen for GPS and emails (i'm getting old and my eyesight is a occasionally glass dependent now).

Hows this rate? Other suggestions? I don't want to spend money of features that I won't use. Cheers

  • "Mid spec"

    • Yep, definitely low end with that resolution, SOC and internal storage. I didn't even know there was a Snapdragon 200.

  • It would be good as a first smartphone for elderly relatives if it was at a lower pricepoint, say $99.

Getting an LG G2 on eBay on Sunday's 15% off deal could deliver a MUCH better phone - it's a shame Kogan ran out of LG G2 and has raised prices (apparently) before the 15% eBay/Paypal Sunday 14.9.14.
