Note - We are a Limo Company and this is probably the cheapest limo Airport transfer offer in Melbourne.
However, we do not claim it to be the cheapest ozbargain way to airport. This is not a shared transport service. You can seat upto 4 adults in a sedan or upto 7 in a people mover.

Other options for your reference:
Skybus or Star bus - $17-20 per person
Take train to Broadmeadows and then bus to airport - $5 or so

Please don't neg just becuase its not the cheapest way to travel to airport. Its a limo transfer offer and we are confident that there is no better offer to travel with professional Chauffeur in Melbourne.

Uber Reference:
$82- $87 Cbd- airport depending upon which toll exit you use

Thank you everyone for such a positive response. We look forward to seeing you as our regular customer in near future.

  • Can you confirm there won't be other passengers sharing the ride?

    • +1

No answer from the rep, so I guess you got your answer!

      • Might as well catch the bus there then and save money…

        • You seem to be very silent now the rep has confirmed it isnt shared - only open your gob to make accusations or trouble?
Time to start eating your words as ususal

    • Has this been known to happen previously with other VHA deals?
I've used VHA cars on many occasions, where shared rides where never a consideration for myself or the operator.

      • Has this been known to happen previously with other VHA deals?

        often…

  • Payments made by Credit/Debit Card or Cabcharge in the car incur 5% Eftpos and service fee payable to Cabcharge.

This is a bargain in itself !
    Down from 10%

Yes, Thats correct. Although not required by Law for Hire Cars; We are probably the only limo company to implement 5% Eftpos machines for Hire Cars in Melbourne similar to Taxis.

  • Payments made by Credit/Debit Card or Cabcharge in the car incur 5% Eftpos and service fee payable to Cabcharge.

Your website says there is a 2.5% surcharge, why are you charging 5% here ???

    • -1

      Hi jv,
This deal is $65 and $69 inclusive of GST, Tolls and Eftpos Fee if paid upfront or Cash.
I will explain you the normal surcharges :
11% surcharge with every Hire Car Operator when paid using Credit/Debit Card within the Car or on the phone using Cabcharge Machine ; We have implemented 5% machines instead in Cars.
Most Limo Companies don't offer Paypal Option. We offer this option at 2.5% surcharge when booking normally through Website or phone and paying with Paypal upfront .

      • Paypal only charge 1.95% to the merchant, or as low as 1.1% for higher volumes…

I would use shuttle bus from airport to cbd which costs $18. Or normal yellow taxi costs around $50-60.

Plus this is more of ad and not bargain at all.

    • +1

I agree, the Rep refuses to confirm whether you will be sharing the car at this price…

  • Hi niksrulz,

I think that all these surcharges and extra rates, tolls, flag falls, etc. are a real killer in this industry. I think you need to seriously consider offering a flat rate option across the board. Credit card surcharges and paypal fees are a normal business cost and these should be absorbed into your pricing like 95% of other businesses, rather than being passed onto your customers

Additionally offering extra rates for other areas of the city would be good.

    Cheers, GL

    • I agree with you on this. I think we will be implementing this on our website in the coming months with a new flat rates chart and calculator.

      • +6

Why won't you confirm whether or not this price is a shared service or not ???

  • Looks like a dodgy company ..

It says in the bottom : Copyright VHASilverService 201, but http://vhasilverservice.com.au/vehicles/bmw-7-series-sedan/ is a straight copy from http://www.caradvice.com.au/202915/2013-bmw-7-series-review/.

    • A high number of the Melbourne VHA operators are "dodgy" by business practise standards.
The industry is just dodgy full stop. Margins are slim, capital for websites are close to none.

      Uber or die I say.

  • will there be any special rates for going to a suburb instead of the cbd?

    • +1

That would probably depend on where the other passengers you are travelling with want to go to…

  • its seems this is pretty much same old YELLOW taxis with new silver color on top of it..

    • +1

They are VHA's, which are hire cars, not taxis. The drivers must have taxi license. Cars must meet minimum dimensions for doors which normal taxi cars don't, hence use of 300c, statesman, 7 series or those vans. So not yellow taxis painted silver.

  • I'm prepared to meg this. Compared to other shared transport options this is expensive. If the rep ever responds to any of these comments I'll consider changing my vote

  • Yep, conveniently ignoring the shared service question. No deal

  • I dont get how this is a bargain. Went Melb last month and a taxi costed me $55 to the CBD

  • My own personal ongoing experience:
This is a good service. I use it. Walk off plane to a waiting car. No getting into the peak hour line in the wind.
The cars smells nice, driver friendly and knows where to go. The air-con works. But most importantly, I don't have to play "guess that smell". The seats are not stained so if you are wearing a suite no worries about 'stuff' sticking to your clothing. They will also help you wheel your luggage to their car and place in the boot. I have never had credit card 'fraud' (double charge) with VHA cars unlike Taxi. IMHO the small premium is worth it. But each to their own.
