  This looks more like a bootloader unlock than a carrier unlock. Many thanks OP. For those who don't know what this about, Huwaei phones have locked bootloader which stop you loading custom / third party roms. This code should unlock it.

      Bagman sells Huawei codes for $5.49 if I recall. Many eBay sellers too will sell codes ranging from $4~6, depending on where you buy from.

  the website prvided by OP is pretty handy if it works - much faster than stuffing around with software…

  how does one obtain the Product ID?

    If its a Vodafone locked 526 try unlocking online from Vodafone website. When I tried my IMEI was not registered with Vodafone website, so when I contacted Vodafone they put the unlock doe online for free :)

      Depends on stock. I checked all $79 G526 in a Target store - all showed $25 to unlock on Vodafone. Unlocked for $3.85 on eBay. Try tomorrow & might get 15% off! That's the only time I've paid to unlock on Vodafone.
