  • I believe the $89 rebate means it has 6 cell battery. Watch out for expensive shipping too, $30 to Sydney!

  • I read it as $499 after cash-back.

    Has it for $549 after cash-back it's $460.
Plus they are more trustworthy with getting orders filled.
Plus they don't charge expensive shipping.

Apparently PCCG aren't an 'authorised' Acer reseller and therefore the cashback won't apply. It's news to me because I didn't think there had to be any authorised resellers (I've personally claimed from online stores) but something to think about (maybe call Acer and find out). I know ASUS had a list of authorised resellers, maybe ACER are following suit..

      • topbuy.com.au are not on Acer's list either.
        call (02) 8762 3264 for cashback enquiries/help.

The list doesn't even have D!ck Smith, Officeworks or any other major retailer for that matter.

        • Weird as ACER still honour dick smith cashbacks and they have cashback promos in the store.

    • If you had this up your sleeves, perhaps you should have tell us about it?

    • I don't believe that you need to buy from an "authorized reseller" to get the cashback — if you have a receipt and the required barcode rom the box, you should be fine…. I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

One of my suppliers [Experess Online] told me that I could stock and sell Acer without becoming an "authorized reseller", however their pricing on the AO751 is ludicrously high compared to this offer. Too often I find that ordinary wholesale channels are too costly with some amazing pricing coming outside the usual official wholesale supply chain which is unbeatable in most cases (like this one).

  • hrmm interesting. well if u factor in the moneybackco rebate (30 bux) then the final price is the same. its jsut the shipping that is abit expensive

The title of the deal should include the price BEFORE cashback.

    • I'd love to list the price before cash back, but it wasn't listed in the email I receive today. So will find out tomorrow, won't we?

      • This is going to be priced at $499 tomorrow after $89 cash back

Wouldn't that make the price $588?

        • Without hard evidence, I'm not holding my breath. Price will be reveled mid day tomorrow. Don't forget the Free Shipping if using Paypal with code "freeshipping2009".

  • Surely the free shipping applies to this.

    • I don't think so. NO coupon available for Steal of the day!

  • also the processor is slower than ATOM

    • +1

but the chipset is faster. video processing is faster too.

  • These units are being sold off cheaply for two reasons:
    (i) they only have a single RAM slot. Single channel GMA500 + Z520 = s-l-o-w
(ii) 1410/1810T with SU3500/X4500, Gateway netbook and Asus 1101HA are available cheap from the US:
