    Don't show this to Tom.

    • +1

which outdoor retailer dropships ;) ?

    • +4

      Why not?

    • that guy is blocked by ebay permantly

      • Actually?

      • tom_9_8_7b isn't

        • Or Tom_9_8_7_6

  • Lets hope they learn from the BBQ fiasco!

    • +7

Lets hope they don't! My turn for $38k

      • Haha good luck, seems like every ozbargainer wants to do that now :p

        • -1

I'll be giving it a go myself.

I may even try to list some other non camping items in that catagory, if there is a code.

      • +1

I'm assuming you're talking about how incredibly easy it was to cash in on their ridiculous promotion, but what's the reference to $38k?

        edit: nevermind lolol

Modern campers take their iPads with them to stay in contact with the outside world so hoping to see some of these in the camping category this Sunday.

    • so hopefully kogan will be listing phones and tablets in camping catagory

      • +1

My kids camp in front of the TV, that opens up a whole world of items that need to be added.

  • +5

Fantastic deal if they removed the words "up to"

    • Yes it will be interesting what is actually at 60% off. Thinking this time it may just be a sale on certain items and no code which applies a discount

      • Doubt that after the BBQ fiasco they will be offering an even bigger coupon, especially as the iPhone 6 is being released.

      • Maybe the wording is because of the $100 limit. Ie buying a tent@300 giving 100 of would only be a 33% discount?

  • +2

another restless Sunday to decide what to buy…Every time I told myself not to buy anything and ended up with buying several hundreds dollars worth items which I am not sure if I will really use…

    • +10

well you can always eBay them..

      • +3

        The circle of life continues…

        • I'm the opposite. I went in expecting to spend hundreds last week, didn't pull the trigger on a single item.

Sold 3 things though, so not all bad.

    • what are they? I am a buyer (usually at a 90% discount)

  • I wonder if pillow pets will make a return as a 'glamping' option. Crashed the servers last time due to overwhelming demand, who knows if they've been able to restock.

  • +3

Y U DO THIS EBAY? STAP! I'm trying to save :/

    • +3

We're beyond saving now, I need a months recovery just to repair the bank wounds from the last round of sundays

  • +9

How is this a deal? insufficient information imo.

  • +4

    Let's sell BBQ's in camping gear! :D

  • +4

i can smell eBay playing some fishy business here.

  • +1

All my batteries will be under camping equipment. Battery powered torches

  • This is going to be massive if the maximum restriction is $100+. Can't wait to buy stuff I don't need, true ozbargain style

  • +1

Surely I'm not the only one who takes a ps4 camping?

    • +10

most people on PS4 are campers. (usually with a tactical insert)

  • gidddy up ! looking forward to buy some solar gadgets and some sleeping bags perhaps

  • +1

I'm in the market for a satellite phone for legitimate camping purposes.

  • LOL some ridiculous request for items to be qualified as "camping" here XD

Hmm I have to drive a 4WD to camping, can I buy a Range Rover Vogue at 60% discount too?

    • Not the Vogue. Just the Autobiography.

    • maybe a wrx too?

  • Perfect timing as I am going camping in two weeks.

  • +2

Ffs just bought a kayak with the 15% off

    • +14

Your username has never been so apt!

  • +1

ffs I just bought loads of camping gear too

  • +11

my prediction: it will not be coupon based, just normal deal section. The "up to" gives it away.

    • Yep for sure

    • +3

      Tom's already in negotiations…

  • Looking forward to this one.

  • Don't get carried away people! UP TO 60% off so it might be just 1% off

  • +2

Does Outdoor and Camping include any fishing gear I wonder.

    • I was wondering this myself. I think there's a decent chance since fishing gear falls under their "Outdoor Travel" section in Ebay Deals.

  • +1

What was with the BBQ eBay fiasco?

  • Here's hoping for some decent tents up.. need to sort a new one!

  • Why not last Sunday? just before people line up for iphone 6 :)

    • with or without camping equipment will not deter those determine to get the hands on the iPhone 6

  • ebay is a bit thin on hilleberg probucts

  • Can somebody tell me if eBay contact the bigger camping sellers to tell then that they are having this deal?

I just feel like some sellers will be getting slammed with orders and having a difficult time dealing with so much.

    • If drb is correct then it won't be a coupon applicable to all camping purchases, but instead eBay will have special deals only from the larger sellers (like Katmandu).

  • Any recommendations for a good large family tent? Looking for one that I can stand up in, not the dome ones.

  • +3

I think it's premature to spend ages looking at products until we know the format and terms of the deal.

  • Someone sell a Carisle Simply Magic paddle plz

  • -8

Hope this works out as well as the BBQ sale for me. My BBQ ended up costing $30

    Bought off ebay for $450 minus $225 from ebay = $225 + $30 shipping = $255

BBQ arrived with some damage, contacted seller who refunded $225.

    $255 - $225 = $30 new stainless steel BBQ with slight damage.

    Score.

  • Still no update on the T&Cs. Legal team must be working back late to ensure they don't experience the same fiasco from last Sunday's BBQ sale. Lol.

    • +1

checked earlier this afternoon and the terms page was down, so was expecting an update, however when it came back up still no T&Cs :(

      • Looks like they're pulling an all-nighter. Still not updated with only 36 hours to go. lol

        • Wow. Still no update.
Can only presume they're delaying as long as possible so people can prepare to take advantage of any loopholes.

  • anyone know a good lightweight 0 degree hiking sleeping bag?

  • Tom is still around,

2 positive feedback for the last 2 days ha ha

Not too bad..It eventually all happened. Happy with product. Thanks Buyer: a***h

  • still no update on the T&C from eBay. Wondering if they will just hold the sale in the deals section?

    http://deals.ebay.com.au/Outdoor-Travel/Camping

  • I will pass , not as exciting as I hoped. Quite a limited range and it is not all items in that category but selected items.

    • How do you know? Is it everything listed as marked down on this page http://deals.ebay.com.au/Outdoor-Travel/Camping ?

If you go to http://deals.ebay.com.au you'll notice the promo box "Great brands. Great Deals. Great Outdoor Retailers" is not clickable but the box next to it is. They'll probably make it clickable at 10am tomorrow and publish the new T&C's at the same time.

      • "Great Outdoor Retailers" suggests only handpicked items from particular retailers. Certainly not a whole category sale like last weekend's BBQ deal and not open to exploit from individual sellers.

      • You can now click on the above link and it takes you to
        http://deals.ebay.com.au/FlashSale/Camping-Outdoor-Event

        • You can buy those listed items now. Seems strange as the sale doesn't start until 10am???

        • @kiwipride:

I'm hoping they're just standard advertising and not part of the sale. Guess we'll find out in a couple of hours

        • Not sure if this is the sale link as this sale finishes 4th October, so either todays sale lasts until then or this is just a coincidence. I will update OP after 10am once we know for sure

        • @Roscoe99:

The fishing items are the exact same ones at the exact same prices they've had up for a week. Going on recent ebay sales, I doubt they would do anything that lame. My money is on those categories getting populated with new items at 10am.

        • @Fredescu:

I'd hope not but nothing would surprise me.

I think stuckster is on to something and they're just trying to sucker in people looking for an early deal.

        • @Roscoe99:

          How wrong I was.

  • Had a quick look and the brands and pricing are pretty ordinary…hope they list something decent when the sale starts

Maxtraxx listed with the "Hot price" of $299…exactly the same as SCA have them listed on their website

  • Not sure if this is the sale link as this sale finishes 4th October, so either todays sale lasts until then or this is just a coincidence. I will update OP after 10am once we know for sure

    • Yep. Good to confirm at 10am. Perhaps this is eBay attempting to pickup some residual sales in the frenzy.

  • Haha, this time ebay is so sneaky, they plan to let people know in last minute.

  • +4

ok its not coupon based - store based. unto 70% off kathmandu.

    nothing too flash :(

  • +4

    Well that was lame.

  • +1

hahah, Leatherman Wingman supposedly worth $89, you can get it for $46 any day of the week. do not buy any of these 'deals' without searching around

  • +1

Before anyone wastes their time, there is absolutely no deal in the fishing section.

  • +1

Yep. Ultra lamo. Brand names with normal prices or slight discounts.
BCF showing same prices as their website.

    • +2

      eBay. Seriously.

    • I will admit there are some decent deals on coolers, whether it be on ebay or on their site, eg Waeco TC-35FL for $295, but better to buy from site and pickup in store for free
