A high end digital photo frame!!

  • Anyone know the screen resolution? Found official site, but no mention there either: http://www.dgtec.com.au/products/dgtec-tablet-7

    • 800x480 I believe. Not a pleasant web surfing device, but surely fine for the kids to watch videos on.

I think that is verging on child abuse ;-) Screen is dark & becomes almost black if not viewed straight on, plus poor battery life etc.

Terrible for any price. I have one :)

  • as tg has mentioned , it's good for a photo frame

If you've used it you may have a different opinion. I got this tablet free (after PayPal dispute), & I think it's crap at that price.

As I have posted in previous deals, it is not a good photo frame, as screen is dark & becomes almost black if not viewed straight on, plus poor battery life etc.

    Why why why?
Doesn't anyone posting this pos tablet ever look up the previous cheaper deals?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/157586
    and others.

Stay away - it's a terrible tablet, if it actually works. Some were DOA.

DS still deceptively promote this 4.0.4 as Android 4.1 Operating System so long after being notified of incorrect & misleading specs.

  • I've been using mine for a month for simple stuff with no problems. Feel sorry for the people who got a DOA.

$39 for a very basic tablet is a bargain.
I wouldn't pay RRP $99 for it though.

Compared with the Coles $29 Huawei 7" available a few weeks back when I bought both, this is a very poor tablet. (Very pleased with the Huawei for viewing videos, basic games, etc but frustrating for web access.) Some Coles still have the faster, better, dual core Pendo for $10 more than this deal, with many features lacking in this pos.

When playing same movie on both, there is no way you would choose this tablet - poor screen, low volume, no Bluetooth, short battery life… I can't think of anything this tablet does well. I haven't bothered turning it on for weeks.

      • Oh yeah for sure. I wish I bought the Huawei but all the Coles near my place were sold out :'-(

It was $24 days ago($19 +$5 postage) and I returned it after 2 mins I received the item. It was very very slow, almost has lags when openning anything. Pendo sold from coles are faster than this pad. NOT worth to have it.

    • Running apps take longer compared to the brand name ones of course but once loaded they run ok.
I was surprised this tablet ran 1080p videos! Not that I would watch HD videos on this small screen, I was just testing.

It's a crap, I bought last time and within few weeks wifi stopped working. very slow, and contacted dicksmith online twice, it's a waste of my time, worst support ever!! just lying, they never refund or provide any solution. no wonder they have worst rating and reviews

  • don't waste your money on this POS!!!!

  • Barely usable tablet - I got one in the last deal and it is simply rubbish.

  • Totally crap. I couldnt even tolerate this for 5min, very very poor quality.

  • Bought 5, giving to in-laws.

    • +1

You must really hate them ;-)
