2 months free access offer is available until 31 October 2014 unless extended. Available to new customers who purchase an outright handset in store, purchase a $10 Think Ultimate $32.95 SIM pack, and agree to the plan terms and conditions

With the purchase of a new phone… you're going to want to put that in the title.

Edit: Actually, the T&Cs in the image don't say that, but they do lower down.

I've picked up two of these plans and the store hasn't said anything about handset purchase?

    • You don't really need to purchase outright phones to have this deal, marketing team may writing too much for the T & C's. ;)

      Good deal though.

      • Can you vouch for this?

  • What network do they use?

    • They use Telstra and Vodafone depending on your area.

Pretty much if you sign up for 2 months then cancel nothing happens. Free!

      • To clarify the networks that used by Think Mobile is not depend on the area but depend on which plan you've opt in.

        • Ultimate Plan & Simple 12 = Vodafone 3G Wholesale Network;
        • Classic 3G = Telstra 3G Wholesale Network.

for this perticular plan they use vodafone

Includes 2GB per month as well.

But t&c says you have to buy a handset from allphones first, then this $10 SIM, agree to their t&c, to get 2 months free :-(

They don't make it very clear that you have to buy a handset. The only place its mentioned is in the tiny print.

    • Think Mobile Plan Offers Think Classic 3G These specific Think Mobile plans use part of Telstra’s 3G mobile network.
    • Think Ultimate Plans Think Swift 3G uses the Vodafone Wholesale mobile network.

So just to clarify, the Think Mobile Plan offers Think Classic 3G which uses "Part of Telstra's 3G mobile network" just like Aldi mobile, but not as widespread and as fast as the "Whole NextG 3G network used by Boost Mobile. This is an important difference to many people on the fringes or rural areas of Telstras Network edges.

I've got my legal team working on those terms and conditions. Should have an anwer by the end of the month.

    • Classic! So true :-)

  • 'Available to new customers who purchase an outright handset in store, purchase a $10 Think Ultimate $32.95 SIM pack, and agree to the plan terms and conditions." - mentioned further down.
but in blurb on the graphic with the big $32.95 on it -
" Available to new customers who purchase a $10 think ultimate $32.95 Sim pack and agree to the plan terms and conditions"

  • Worth mentioning that this is a post paid (monthly) plan which according to the Melb Central Store requires:

    • In store sign up.
    • Immediate activation/port (can't buy sim then activate later)
    • A direct debit arrangement for future bills.

They also confirmed that no phone purchase is necessary
