  • Less than AUD$300 delivered for LG G2. Good deal.

    • +4

Remember it's a refurb though. Not brand new

  • Should also include the Galaxy Tab Pro (T520R). It's like the Note 10 2014 edition with 2G ram

    • +1

The Note 10.1 2014 is available on woot.com frequently for ~$300 AUD, which is probably a better deal.

      • +1

I didnt know such a site exist! Yeah, for $300 it's a good deal.

        • woot is mainstream man. meh.com is where the cool kids hang out.

  • No Band 3 LTE support on the G2 if that matters to anyone

  • Good deal but unable to find which version it is (i.e. D800, D802 etc)
If its D800 (designed for AT&T) then it won't support UMTS900

    • It can only be a D800 as the seller lists LTE Band 1/2/4/7/28.

      • +2

        I see 4G-LTE (Band 1- 2- 4- 5 and 17) in the ebay add, where do you see 7 & 28?

  • +1

Not trolling but if it was me personally I would rather get it brand new…did a quick search at shopbot and found them to be just under $400 @ topbuy and couple of other grey importers (probably plus shipping tho…)

Also I've avoided LG like a plague ever since my first and last LG phone (Optimus 3D) that never had the official ICS update despite all phones were already on jellybean!!!

    • "Also I've avoided LG like a plague ever since my first and last LG phone (Optimus 3D) that never had the official ICS update despite all phones were already on jellybean!!!"

Same mate only exception ive ever made since i made the mistake of getting the optimus 3D is my LG Nexus 5 only cause of direct updates lol

    • LG are terrible with updates. This particular model gets KitKat, so that's not so bad. Chances are, if you get this phone, you'll have to flash Android L on there yourself. I'm tempted to get this… but for about $60 more, I could get a Nexus 5 off eBay. Better hardware vs better software.

      Decisions, decisions.

      • +1

I think LG have confirmed G2 will get Android L.

        • +1

FYI - they confirmed the optimus 3D was gonna get ICS back then too! Just never happened!

        • @homersyd: That and a whole bunch of their other phones. I had the 4X HD. Absolutely loved it. Hardware was fantastic for its price. Then the lack of software support killed it for me. At the time, I wasn't too experienced with rooting and flashing, so I sold it off.

    • Similar issue with the Original Optimus G, but G1 and G2 are essentially Nexus phones in a different shell, and as a result, third party ROMs are excellent quality.

      • How much do you trust those ROMs though? How do we know they're not secretly stealing our info? Maybe I'm being too paranoid.

I'd really like to get one of these, but the lack of official support is making me reconsider.

        • I trust them (at least the big ones) far more than I trust the Factory ROMs if privacy is a concern!
They're fully open source which means there's lots of eyes looking over the code to spot backdoors.
Unlike the Factory ROM which includes lots of closed source code and as history has shown includes plenty of backdoors!

  • Hi guys, from the specs will this phone work with the Optus network, including 3G? What about 4G? I don't plan to use 4G but ideally I'd like to make sure the phone is future proof.

Also, does this come with the standard 90 days manufacturer's warranty and if I need to use it do I have to send back to the States? Thanks

I've messaged the seller to get a confirmation on the model number. If I ever hear back from them, I'll post it here.

      • I'm pretty new to interpreting this information so based on your chart because Optus 3G is 900/2100Mhz does than mean that it does work with Optus because UMTS 900 is not supported?

And for 4G it will work only if your area is covered by Band 28?

        Thanks

        • +2

Optus 3G is 900/2100Mhz does than mean that it does work with Optus because UMTS 900 is not supported?

You can still use the phone with the Optus network, but you will not be able to receive UMTS 900 signals. So you won't get dual band 3G coverage.. hence the D800 model is probably not a good idea if you intend on using Optus 3G only.

900mhz frequency is good for inside buildings, because the signal can get through stronger.
2100mhz is more of a weak flakier signal but has much more capacity.

If you cannot receive 900mhz signals that means you will get less reception.

        • @scrimshaw: Thanks :)

        • @scrimshaw: Well, that settles it. I'll pass on this deal. Thanks, scrimshaw.

      • According to the GSMArena phone spec list, I don't think the LG G2 D802TA supports LTE 700mhz band 28 (APT700): http://www.gsmarena.com/lg_g2-5543.php

        • +1

Yeah I made a mistake, sleep deprived lol.

  • Alright. Got an email from the seller.

"thank you for your email. this phone is the at&t d800 model.

    2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
    3G HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100"

    Hope this helps.
