Back in Stock - $49 Sony DR-BTN200M Wireless Stereo Headset with One Touch NFC from Camerasky

330

Personally I've been waiting for these to go back on sale since I missed the last deal by easternculture.

It's got some decent reviews on Amazon and for me the price is right.

It would be great if the white colour also $49.

I managed to score a pair of these in the last deal.

I was hoping for them to be a little louder but all in all not a bad buy for $50. The whole 'no cord' is awesome as I'm always getting stuff hooked on it.

The functions on the actual device are also pretty cool. Let me know if you have trouble pairing it with the iPhone. I eventually found the fix.

    • I find they can go very loud - I never actually use them at max volume. Just make sure your phone's bluetooth volume is set to max when you are using them.

I wonder if the ones from this seller are genuine Sony's.

    • how long did it take? Any issues with postage?

    • Serious? I have to turn mine way down when paired with the iPhone :| remember some devices have a separate BT volume that's independent of the volume set on the headset.

Btw I finally worked out how to get them pairing nicely with my iPhone and PC at the same time. On the PC it connects two devices - Headphones and Headset. The headphones seem to have nice clear audio but the headset is really tinny, not sure if that can be changed. But if I disconnect and disable the headphones device on PC then I can pair properly with the phone.

      • Delivery didnt take long at all. 4 days and there was a delay due to overseas natural disaters.

Think it might be just be the iPhone 4 that is the issues. Have a Sony Experia Z3 on the way so hoping this makes a difference.

        • Try adjusting the volume on the iPhone AND the volume on the device.

        • Ye i've maximised both but still not that loud.

Maybe I'm just going def. lol!

  • I own these headphones and they are fantastic (paid $80 a half a year ago). In fact, they could be the most underrated bluetooth cans out there, especially with 40 hours on a single charge. At $49 they are an absolute steal.

Has anyone dealt with this seller, as I wouldn't mind getting a second pair?

  • I received mine from last deal, sound is ok for the price but you pay for cordless and long battery life. I have pair of logitech ue6000 which kills this one but well its 50 bucks you can't expect too much

      1) Corded vs cordless = apples vs oranges? Name another pair of wireless cans with a similar battery life, features (inc. NFC) and sound quality at up to 3 times the price of these? I can't.

      2) DR-BTN200 actually retailed at $200 and are only sold at this clearance price because they've been discontinued.

      3) I own 5 pairs of wireless headphones and use all of them. The DR-BTN200 compare favourably to my Sennheiser RS 170, which are $335 at JB Hi FI, but aren't as good as teh RS 180 ($550 at JB).

I agree with you. Vote for this headphone. I bought from the same seller so no worries despite they dont have paypal

        • thanks, bought one

        • Thanks. I just hope these are genuine. Someone in the previous deal said that they feel like they are made of cheap plastic. I can't say the same about mine - it actually feels very solid.

In fact, I have dropped them on a tiled floor from my head a couple of times and they still look and work as good as new - something I would expect from Sony.

Another reason I'm suspicious about these not being genuine is that somebody said that they don't go loud enough. I have not found that to be the case at all.

      From the FAQ…

We process our payments including Credit Cards via PayPal. A faster, safer, easier way to shop online.

Doesn't this imply that they offer Paypal?

      • +1

checkout only came with debit card and bank transfer.

Just read this in their FAQ
"PayPal merchant facility payments are currently not accepted due to higher fees and charges imposed on us the merchant, as we wish to ensure we offer the best possible price to you the consumer we need to ensure we keep all costs to a minimum, while we may introduce PayPal in the future there will likely be a surcharge imposed on such payments."

          @StewBalls:
Give them some credit - their price is $20 cheaper than the cheapest I've ever seen these headphones.

        • @elektron: I'm a tough crowd…honestly though, that little deception combined with a few of the unfavourable reviews of the company is enough to put me off the purchase; just my own personal choice; YMMV, however.

I'm happy to pay $20 more & get them from someone else. All the best to those who buy though, I hope it goes well for you.

  • Sue - why not

  • I need to replace a set of Philips bluetooth headphones and I was looking at these earlier.

The only problem is the company seems to have poor reviews - http://www.productreview.com.au/p/camerasky.html

    • Certainly grey import product is sold, shipped from HK. (According to the reviews.)
      Reviews:
Well they certainly fall into one of two camps. They either rate CS or loathe CS.
Most certainly in the loathe side as noted by IIGnomeII
I did make the purchase. Lets see?

      • I am still keen to get a pair, if fellow ozbagainers have a good experience and they have them in stock for the same price i'll be picking up a set

  • By the way, I was at an Optus World store today to check out the new Z3 & Z3C (in stock as of today) and they were selling these headphones for $99.

  • Do they work with windows PC? Anyone tried? I read somewhere that they dont.

    • I have - they do.

      • its $519 each how come you got 4 from Dstore

        • +1

gotta pay extra for quality product/service

    • the price is $519 too much

  • These look relatively small in terms of the ear cuffs. However it states that these are "over-the-ear", can anyone that owns this confirm?

    • these are on the ear

      • I have a massive head and they fit perfectly. Very comfortable.

    • Its on the ear. I had my doubts too and just gotten it, I can confirm its ON the ear.

  • they go out of stock so quickly

  • Great price.. these will not likely work with my TV due to bt. How does sound quality compare to my existing corded
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/97391
Love these…smashing sound and a lot better than most lower end senshsrs.

  • Out of stock now !!

  • it says $519 thats too much

  • Finally arrived. Shipping faster than expected. For $50, this is a steal. Sound quality is seriously very decent. Its very solid.

    • My impressions exactly. It'll improve a bit after the break-in.

I've actually just upgraded to Sony's top of the range MDR-1RBTMK2, arguably the best Bluetooth headphones on the market at the moment, but I am still convinced that there is nothing better than the DR-BTN200 under $150 in terms of the combination of sound, comfort and features.
