iPrimus 75-Gig-Data ADSL at 20Mbps - $49.95 Monthly, Cheap Modem

12

iPrimus' "Kahoona" ADSL2+ plan is now 49.95 per month if you use this web page. This is what you get:

20mbps downstream speed (Theoretical maximum - I'm hitting 6.7mbps down and 900kbps up)
75 gigabytes of data allowance (25 gigs during "on-peak", 50 during off-peak which is 2am to 10am)
Very cheap modem - just $9.95
No setup fee
If you're already on iPrimus ADSL and your current modem supports ADSL2+, the new plan might come into effect immediately
You DON'T need to bundle your phone!

Only available if you go on 24 month plan with direct debit.
If you hit 25 gigs on-peak or 50 gigs off-peak, you get shaped back to dialup speeds for the rest of the month

Leave your contact details and you'll get a phone call within minutes (yes, even if you ask to be called at a later time).

For comparison, $49.95 is exactly what I was paying for their 512k, 5-gigabyte ADSL1 plan.

      Agree,
Uploads counted and a 24 month contract.
      not a good deal.

  • Uploads, 24 mth contract. no deal
    TPG is much better value

    • TPG's service sucks monkey balls though.

    • better value does not always mean better

There is no point having a 100gig plan because it is $40/month if you cannot use your connection reliably to download the 100gig.
You would be better off spending $60/month to get 100 gig with another provider so you could actually use all your 100gig.

  • Some people are already with iPrimus and can't stand the hassle of changing e-mail address.
