COTD Tech Deal Blast - Free Postage - Chocolat Eneloop AA/AAA 8pk $14.98

790

COTD are having a Free Postage event on the 19th Oct, they mention e-Readers, TVs, games & tech (around 50 deals).
Perfect time to use our $10 vouchers :)

Since my crystal ball runs on unobtainium batteries and not Eneloops, I have no idea what will be in this deal.
I don't know what time it starts or when it ends.

I hope that I don't sleep in and miss out on any good deals, as I have issues with sleeping.
But I will try and update this post when it's active, with some stand out items when I can.

EDIT: Starts at 4pm AEDT

Deals:
Eneloop AA 8pk $14.98 (SOLD OUT)
Eneloop AAA 8pk $14.98

Also available on the Scoopon site (credit Easternculture):

Scoopon: ENELOOP AA Chocolate 8pk (SOLD OUT)

  • I still haven't got my $10 voucher from the eneloop sale. What about you guys ?

    • They emailed the code to me.

    • +3

      @ usama91
That's odd, I got mine sent to both of my email addresses (for my 2 accounts) on the 17th.

Check your email for "Your $10 Vouchers from CatchOfTheDay are now available" as the subject in all your folders.
It will be 1 email stating how many times it can be used, eg if you got 5 (max qty) of the AA batteries, you will have 1 email stating it can be used 5 times, not 5 different emails.

I hope that's of help, if not there, contact them to find out why.

      Good luck.

    • +2

I contacted COTD via Live Chat and they gave me my codes that way. Just need your order number, address and payment method. Hope this helps….

    • +6

Code is TECH2014B, same for everyone

      • +2

TECH2014 is the same for everyone, but the letter on the end varies.

        • +5

i guess that leaves 26 options to try

        • +6

@cornbeef: The voucher is tie down to your account which mean you can only use the voucher if it is eligible to you.

If you didnt make a purchase in the previous deal, you can use the voucher in as many combination as you like but it will not make a difference.

The A B and C will most like just mean how many time you can use the voucher before it expire.

          B in my case mean 2 so i assume A mean 1 and C will mean 3.

        • +2

@highdealer: agreed. 2 in my case and there comes the letter B.

        • +1

          @cornbeef: 25 options P

        • @vehle: oh - you still using the old alphabet?

        • +2

TECH2014 (with no letter) is the code for those that only ordered one item

  • Is this code like universal or linked to your account?

  • Ah so its tied to the account it seems

  • +1

I got a $10 OFF coupon with a recent COTD purchase from eBay. During the EBAY % off sales. It expires 31st October 2014. Hopefully there will be something good tomorrow to spend it on.

  • +7

    COTD sales are never sales….

  • Where did you hear/read/viewed about this event? Thanks.

  • +4

so this deal hits the front page and no actual details / link about the sale?!

    • +1

There is no further details available at this stage or a link, it only shows on the main COTD page, a bit further down on the right side.

This is a heads up on the pending deal due Sun (how much of a deal it is the great unknown), hence my commit about the crystal ball.

  • What happened to the yearly sale where it crashes the site and you can't buy anything? They sell an iPad mini for $149 where its like winning the lottery to get one, yet I still get a free $20 voucher, so not all bad. Whatever happened to the free itunes giftcards?

    • +3

The birthday sale is comming soon! I facebook pm them a couple of days ago asking as I know its usually on this time a year.

  • Everything is suppose to be $10 or under, then they have this for $10.95

    http://m.catchoftheday.com.au/event/42095/product/stm-studio…

  • Just realised I didn't get my second batch of vouchers so just used live chat and got them no worries.

  • The suspense is killing me!

  • Hope the 8 way powerboard is $19 again been waiting

  • I must be going blind, as I now cant see this event listed on COTD site, which was shown on the right side.

I hope they haven't pulled the deal, I should have got a screen shot.

    • +1
    • Please disregard my commit above lippa comment.

COTD was just updating their website, which they did a few times in the last hour or two.

  • +2

Eneloops are in the promo picture. Are we sure there isn't some plot to feed OzBargainers Eneloops until they explode?

  • Has it started?
EDIT: can't find the deal on the site, I'm pretty disappointed with CotD… again.

  • +1

Nice :) $9.95 phone car mount, free postage, minus $10 COTD voucher = free!

    • I bought this few days ago with referral credit for free
      Plus got $10 voucher ;)

      • So didnt you have to pay any shipping? Just trying to understand. So you paid with your $!0 voucher and you got another $10 voucher. was shipping free then as well?

        • +2

I paid with referral credit which automatically applied when added item to cart.
          And yes shipping was free
So $0 item + free $10 voucher for participating in tech deal.

  • The link works for me - https://www.catchoftheday.com.au/event/42095/

There is one item for $10.95. Everything else is under.

For a sale that doesn't start until later, a lot is sold out.

EDIT - postage is still showing, so maybe this isn't the right $10 tech sale or they simply remove P+H later.

  • +3

I'm confused where is the deal on which link and what time?

    • -2

You can't read a few cm above your own comment? Hint: it's written in bold.

There isn't a link to this deal since its not active yet.

      • +3

In the past mods have removed such deals I believe. Especially when nothing is known about a deal. Why not this time?

        • It happened to me before.

      • Btw your link above leaded to a banner not a sale… Sorry maybe fix it then comment

        • +1

The banner was all that was available until the sale started

  • They've had the PS4 controller for $69.95 for a while, and its in the photo of this deal. Anyone reckon it'd go cheaper in this 'explosion' event? Or same price?

  • +5

wtf they just changed the time from 3pm to 4pm?

    • exactly lol

  • Look like some Dick Smith deals again

  • Nothin yet

  • +1

Pretty average deals. Nothing special- https://www.catchoftheday.com.au/event/42328/

  • Eneloop again.

  • +1

    Another DS sale

  • +1

Nice, got a free Xbox One Remote, 1 x $10 voucher from last week and $9 of $10 store credit I still had from last week too. Now I've still got $1 store credit and another $10 voucher. What else to get? I really have enough Eneloop now. Maybe another Xbox One Remote for $8? Hmmm.

  • -1

Very underwhelming sale as usual for COTD. Seems people just post COTD deals for the referral credit rather than being an actual good deal anymore.

    • Many people have $10 coupons to use from the previous COTD sale. Eneloops at $4.98 are a bargain and have never been cheaper.

      • +1

Just bought another 6 in addition to the 6 last week. If only I could exchange them for store credit at Dick Smith for their RRP… Hello PS4…

  • +1

Meh it's crap sorry to say…

  • I cant use my scoopon/Myer gift card which expires today!!. Says invalid coupon code.. what a pity

    • Are you even trying?

The same event is on at scoopon. Now get your ass over there and use your coupon before it expire.

      http://shopping.scoopon.com.au/event/42328/

Also note and Cotd and Scoopon coupon are tie to the account which receive them. You need to login in to the respective account to use them.

      • +1

Im not sure you read my post correctly. I know of that link and that is where I am trying to use it and it doesnt work. It gives me an invalid coupon code error. And yeah I am logged on to my scoopon account where I have the sccopon voucher in my account.

        • Well make sure you are sign in properly. The coupon should work, there no reason why it shouldnt, i just used it.

        • @highdealer:
yes I have logged in and I can go to My account and see the voucher there..I am trying to enter the code VIP****** in have a coupon code. Will keep trying. Have sent an email to scoopon about this. Im guessing your coupon too expires today.

        • @skyanyan: No need to block out your code. Everybody know it is VIPMYER10

It's the same for every one.

        • @highdealer: :).. haha.
By the way I just checked and it seems to be working on a restaurant deal. Strange why it wouldn't work on a shopping deal. Anyway I might end up using it where I can.

        • @skyanyan: Try using your coupon on these. It just work for me for the sturdy in-car smartphone holder.

          http://shopping.scoopon.com.au/event/41990/

        • @highdealer: No luck. Doesn't work on the car-smartphone holder either.. Thanks for helping

        • @skyanyan: Mine doesn't either which is a real pity as this would have been perfect to use it on.

        • @jdf: Sigh! what are you going to do? Use it for something else or wait for scoopon to rectify it. Since it expires today I don't know if they will extend the expiry. As per me they should as it doesnt mention anywhere in the voucher that it cannot be used for scoopon shopping deals

        • @skyanyan: I can't seem to use it for any shopping deal, can you?

        • @jdf: Not for shopping deal but it seems to work for local deal. I tried it for this and it works
          http://www.scoopon.com.au/deals/61439/south-yarra-main-meal-…

But I dont think I'll end up going there even if I purchase it :).

        • @skyanyan: $4.98 for a pack of eneloops, don't think another deal will come close to this ever again.

      • And grocery run and mumgo if you sign in with the same email and pw :)

  • -6

Wanted to use my $10 voucher to buy some more batteries, but they have taken away the ability to enter the code. COTD, you suck!

    • +1

      What are you on about?

Click on the "Have a coupon code?" to enter your code.

  • -7

Batteries are ok but the rest of the sale is overpriced. Is this all DSE stock?

  • Not a very good sale. Some other tech deals starting today at 6pm AEDT. Listed on there home page.

    • Samsung Cameras
    • Western Digital hard drives etc
    • Surge board with 4 power sockets and 6 USB ports. Already listed for $19.95+P&H.
  • +1

Thanks - with the last Eneloop Chocolat AA and AAA got the $10 vouchers and paid $14.95 delivered per 8 pack.

Another couple of 8 packs today means 32 Eneloop Chocolat for $40 - Bargain!

  • +1

Used the $10 coupn and it's $4.98 for the AAA eneloop. wow!

  • +1

Pretty underwhelming "explosion", but did grab some more Eneloops using the $10 vouchers for $4.98 a pack.

    • Very appropriate name given this deal is powered by Dick.

  • I think I already have too many eneloops. Need a quick charger instead

    • +1

You can never have too many!

  • +1

I feel dirty.. I just bought some Eneloops after saying I'd never buy anything from COTD again.

I need to go have a shower.

  • hmmm…use up all the vouchers on more eneloops i don't really need? or wait for something else to come up in the next month?

  • With $10 off the MK710 and M570 are good deals.

    • +2

M570 has been cheaper (multiple times) from amazon…but local stock might be be worth the extra dollars for some, i guess.

same with other items, like DS4 (cheaper from DSE itself).

eneloops seem to be the only thing that are already at the (equal) lowest price BEFORE the $10 (let alone after the $10).

  • +1

Thanks heaps OP, got my Xbox1 media remote for $19 shipped. Saved $5 or so, cheers mate :-)

  • Can't use the code they sent me, TECH2014, says "Your account is not eligible to use this coupon"

    Anyone else?

Ps. I only have one account and it's the same as the one they emailed me the coupon.

    • Oops. Just saw this when I pressed post. Live chat them.

      • Thanks. Yeah I ended up doing that & they sorted it out.

I didn't buy any Tech items but just wanted to use the voucher.

  • I was getting "Your account is not eligible to use this coupon". Live chatted them and the fixed it. I certainly was eligible, but there must some problems with the code being used out of context.

    • I am getting "Your account is not eligible to use this coupon".

i cant seem to find any live chat window

      • You need to be on the full desktop site. Then it should be on the bottom right hand side.

It doesn't seem to be on their mobile site.
