FREE Mini Steak Taster Wrap at McDonald's (Facebook Required)

1430

Copy Pasta: "Free Mini Steak Taster. Get your FREE Mini Steak Taster Wrap! Hit "get offer" for more details and to download."

Basically:
1) Share the deal
2) Receive offer in your e-mail
3) Take the e-mail to your store to claim the wrap

Pro-tip: If you don't want anyone to see the "share", change privacy settings to "Only Me" when posting. Defeats the purpose from McDonald's point of view… but you'll receive the offer in your e-mail nonetheless.

Update: Just went and picked mine up, all you have to do is show the e-mail on your phone.

  • hmm email is slow

    • I got mine instantly!

      • funny i used hotmail. not in the junk folder. just tried to resend

        • +1

same… I think it sends to the e-mail address that you sign onto facebook with

        • @justcallmeboss: yeh I think it detects and just auto sends the offer

  • +1

Worked for me and I got the email straight away. Thanks OP!

    • no worries!

      • Thanks OP, that's all my meals sorted for the rest of the week.

  • +1

Got mine (Yahoo mail) straight away. - EDIT - Shared with "Only ME" then went on to facebook to delete the post once the email was received :D Thanks OP

    • +1

You don't need to share the deal to receive the email.

  • Got mine…wonder if its valid at any MAcdonald's?

  • Mine worked fine as well, just clicked on the link to claim and it came into my gmail. Doesn't seem to be targeted

  • finally got it.
    see the (stupid) t&c:

This voucher cannot be redeemed more than once and you are required to delete this voucher immediately from your mobile device once redeemed.

how hard to delete and then retrive from deleted folder?
or just fwd this email 100x to yourself.

    • Easier Option: retrieve it from email trash folder?

      • +1

You can also go back to the Facebook page and click "Resend offer"

So send it to yourself 15 times if need be. Each one is a separate email.

    • +1

There's actually nothing stopping you from claiming it more than once because all they did was literally look at the e-mail. I'm not saying you should do this… but it seems pretty easy to cheat!

    • It also says something along the lines of one per person per day :)

  • Got it, the email didn't align good in my Outlook apps.

  • Did anyone get this:
    This content is currently unavailable

  • Has anyone tried it at maccas yet?

    • yes just got mine

      • Verdict?

        • +1

worth it FREE. Would not pay $3 or it though :P
          I would pay $2 though :)

        • +1

I had one of these just by itself (no fries or drink) It is really bland. The wrap, lettuce and meat all seem to taste the same, even seems that the textures are the same also.

Yes it is mini, fits in hand.

My goto ozbargain maccas meal is double beef and bacon medium value meal $4.95 (burger, fries, drink).
(I was given a free voucher for the wrap, also was offered cheeseburger for $1.50)

I wouldn't actually buy one of these wraps

    • +4

No worries, your name is highly relevant! :p

  • +2

Surprisingly mine was overloaded with tender steak pieces… Saw the price in the cash register when my order was taken, its $3, so pretty good deal.
    Thanks OP

  • Gawd….you're killing me Macca's. Geez I hope these don't taste any good.

  • How does it compare to the Oporto's mini steak rappa?

    • +4

This is free :p ha ha ….

      • Just had it and would rather pay $3 for the Oporoto one than eat this for free. Better bread and tastier.

  • +1

Stack this with Instant Win monopoly burgers for a meal :)

  • Just had one then. Not too bad, but definitely not worth the $3 they're asking.

  • Nice, got one too, although waiting for 5 minutes, for them to read my email and the fb Page multiple times…

  • Still haven't received any emails after 3hrs, tried resending 3x without luck. Might have better luck trying that Broden email that cooni supplied…

  • Wonder if this would work through the drive through?

    • Worked fine for me they just took my phone for a second then came back and it was all good

      • +2

Ok good stuff… until the attendant decides they want a new iphone 6 ;)

  • Valid after 10:30am

What about 24 hr stores - when do they stop selling it - 12am?

  • +3

Ah yep you just actually have to click 'get offer' and thats it, its not actually required that you share or anything. So just click get offer and you get email, no need to share it at all.

  • +5

northbridge wa store said i had to print out the voucher. showed the cashier the fine print that says "present this voucher on your mobile device to a McDonald’s Crew Member." she then grudgingly gave me one. i'm going down to officeworks to print a bunch off tomorrow lol

    • +3

the bitterness is real lol. reminds me of the good old big mac voucher.

      • +3

oh i know. if only i could snap a pic of her black face with my Mobile Device :D

    • +1

I'm so waiting to get one- I'm drooling!

      • +1

You could just nibble yourself while waiting ;)

    • +1

not northbridge again! c'mon TDW you should know better now that any of the fast food joints in city will give you grief just for claiming a legitimate offer.

      • +1

lol it wasn't the one on william st. besides, i had no problems claiming multiple free big macs there last year :p

  • These are nice, but you really need 4 for a good feed.

Showed the Shift Manager the 'Broden' email at Tullamarine Maccas (VIC) and was told "You havent shown me you activated the offer (whatever that means); i'll do it this time but…" Combined this with the $1 Choc waffle (really good), so got Steak Taster wrap and Choc Waffle cone for $1 - Bargain, cheers Cooni and OP!

    • +1

"You havent shown me you activated the offer …"

      zomg.
doesn't take much brain matter to become Shift Manager these days… the fact that you have email itself is proof you've activated it

  • -2

    Thanks OP.
I've hit up 10+ drive thru's for these and each time got them.
Adding the $1 chocolate ice cream cone was a nice bonus too :)

got refused at Madely WA. cashier called over the duty manager(?) and when she walked off to consult the store manager, i heard her remark that she doubted my printed out coupon "was real." when she came back she said "you just got that off facebook"
me: "well yeah, it's from your own McDonalds' facebook page!" even showed her the email i got on my ipod. she walked off again and said the store manager didn't accept facebook coupons, they weren't a participating store, etc. snatched back my coupon and told her i'll be contacting head office.

also had a slight glitch at Wanneroo. one of the managers said it had to be redeemed on a mobile device; showed it too her and you could see her face sink as well. she went from talking politely to me to pretty much barking like a chihuahua lol

    • +2

wow that's absolutely horrible… I redeemed mine from South of the river, and it was super seamless. The cashier knew exactly what it was and put it through the register straight away!

      • most stores today i had no problems. there's always those few places that try everything to weasel out of a legit promotion.

    • +1

Why did her face sink? If Maccas do the promotion, their stores should 'happily' honour it. You' think head office would have let them know!

      • +1

that's what i never understand about free food promotions, when the staff act like it's coming out of their own pay and will attempt to thwart people from claiming the freebie.

        • +2

          This!
It does my head in when staff take a high moral ground, acting as if they're the CFO.
It appears that the value of a happy and satisfied customer is lost these days to the greater corporate world, which is a real pity, as it's us who are who they're trying to court.

    • +1

Wow. Defiantly complain to head office to get free me

      • mmmm you

sent off email already. would be interesting to see what their "store manager" say now.

      • Free you?

        • +3

          Free my username

  • So who actually pays for it. When they punch in free taster in the register does head office credit the store? Or does the store take the loss.

    • Alot of McD stores are franchised, so its an interesting question. You'd think head office would credit them as part of a marketing budget or something.

    • -1

The store would wear the cost. The promo is bringing people in the the store, from there they might buy some fries, drink etc.

Might even get 'addicted" to this, ( I doubt it ) and spread the word how great it was.

  • +4

Well guess what - I got the black face / rudeness as well. Drive through, women didn't even make eye contact, said nothing, so I said "did you want to see the email?" and held the phone out, she curtly said 'thats fine' again without looking at me and closed the window pretty quick. Won't tolerate that so have emailed Maccas with a complaint. Real stuff up of a promotion when staff decide how they feel about it & be rude!

  • +1

Staff at city rd maccas melbs didn't know about promotion. Manager came and said I had to like the offer that was sent to my email which meant I redeemed it and we wouldn't be able to redeem again. The terms and condition states simply show and delete. Anyway…he didn't seem like he was that impresses too. On another note..wrap was so so IMO. Thanks for the post op, if it wasn't for this I wouldn't have tried anyway :)

    • +4

I reckon theres been little to no communication from head office or the team doing the FB promotion and the stores. So the staff suddenly wonder whats going on. Head office should have sent out a comm. informing all stores and telling all the store managers to tell their teams etc. IMHO then there wouldnt be as much bitterness from staff. I'll mention it when they call in reply to the complaint :)

      • +1

Posted this a couple of years ago. Not much has changed.

        • 100% hit the nail on the head with that post!

  • Not sure why fast food places think sending an email is a smart way to do promotion. It's probs easiar, but the way Maccas did it last time with the website redeem was a lot closer to avoiding exploitation lol. Instead they took the KFC route and looks like it's caused a lot of confusion.

On that note, store cashiers asking you to delete the email is kinda cute - they have heard of undo/trash folder right?

  • Got one today, a slight wait to it, had to check it through 3 or so staff. Apparently there are some fake Facebook Macca's offers that are circulating nowadays.
All good, tasted a little average, but hey, I aint complaining!

  • +2

today's douchebag store was Cannington WA (outside Carousel) store manager came out and said they didn't do facebook promos because they were a franchise. told him:
    1) the coupon didn't specify that it was only company owned stores that were participating
    2) there was no way for the average customer to tell which ones were franchise/company stores

also got some attitude from the Ascot Waters store. the stroppy female cashier stormed off to the shift manager remarking that she "couldn't even read" the coupon. (uh, try pulling your head out?) guy came over and told me my coupon wasn't real, i showed him the email on my ipod and firmly insisted that the promotion was real. he then mocked me saying "okay okay i'll give you your free wrap" told him i didn't need any attitude from him or his staff claiming a legit promo. he denied it and started giving me a wishy washy explanation that didn't make sense. yeah save it mate.

How did the spit in your wrap taste?

      • +1

  • Finally have a chance to try today, OK not so good.
